In response to comments below, I reckon this one WAS bigger than Afridi's, but this one was HIGH and it was windy as hell that day (I was there) with the Fremantle Doctor (prevailing afternoon sea breeze, well known to Perthians). Afridi's was on the way down but landed in the second tier of the Prindiville Stand. FTR, I think Brett Lee's at the Gabba was bigger than both. Victoria dropped Aiden Blizzard this year, they should have just kept him for T20!

I think that anyone who remembers Clive's hitting would agree that some of his 6's probably carried further than any modern day cricketer.

CK Nayudu was the biggest six hitter of all times. He once hit a six at Edgbaston, which went outside the stadium, and fell, across the river Rhea flowing outside the stadium, into next county. He used to regularly hit a clock tower, near his home ground, which was atleast two hundred yards from the pitch.
@ghulam757 why is this fake? I was watching the game on TV when it happened. Not sure whose six was bigger (Afridi's or Blizard's) but Simon O'Donnell hit one into the top tier at the MCG (which is a much bigger ground than the WACA) - they even put a plaque where it landed!
@ghulam757 your a clown this was the first 2020 domestic games in australia blizzard hit 86no i think off about 30 balls and afridis only went into the prindiville stand 40 to 50 metres over the boundary this is atleast 30 - 40 metres bigger sorry my friend
It looked like a full toss so if you get onto one from a fast bowler its gone. Nicely timed and given what it deserved. Would have been funny if it was a putting green and got a hole in one by leaning up against the flag.
afridis was bigger the fact it never went out the ground dont mean fuck all arfidis was hit into the top of the stand and was still on the way up it was a massive blow this was big but no where near as big as afridis off of symonds
One of THE BIGGEST sixes you will ever see.... But all the debate my friends is useless as there is no accurate way to tell the "biggest of all time". Until we have hawkeye outside of stadiums on cranes, maybe we'll never know!!! Cracking six though... (bigger than Afridi's for sure).
@infokill you can tell how far a ball will go by i.e the distance travelled or techically speaking the displacement by, a, the angle in which the ball is hit, b, the velocity the ball leaves the bat, c, the height of the ball at point of contact, d, wind assitance or resistance... its simple physics or mathematical mechanics , any A level student of either subject can tell you that. ps you can also measure the max height of the ball, as gravity is always 9.81 ms-2 , only variable is wind.
@harunyahyadotorg so what technology do you use to measure all of these physics and mechanics??? I expect to see this technology used in upcoming tournaments! :)
@infokill, its not perfect, as u can only perfectly measure in a vacuum. in real life you have wind assistance or resistance, so it will be estimate.
in the 20/20 world cup where india won, they had a machine to measure the speed of the ball after contact with the bat. the fastest i so, was 133kmph-1 yuvrag hitting broad, in his third six i think. but it was a flat shot so didnt go as far.
but the good news is u can see which shot has the most speed/power, if it is hit right will go farthest
@infokill, in fact it was the first six (of the six in row, yuvrag hit of broad), which came of the fastest from the bat, right after flintoff and yuvrag had a word. As a english fan its one i dont wish to see too often. but it was good cricket.
@harunyahyadotorg dude it sounds great in theory but I will stick by what I said in the first place "all the debate my friends is useless as there is no accurate way to tell the "biggest of all time". Need to see much greater improvement in six measurement technology before the record books can start recording effectively.
@infokill yes agree with you, unless cricket is played indoors with zero wind, (or in space, with zero air resistance lol). With playing Indoors, so at least its the same for all bats men, (type in afridi hits roof on youtube and thats probably got the most speed of all the hits, as it hits a roof 93 meters high on the hypotenuse which is about 107m in the air of about 65 degrees to the ground, so it could have been the furtherst if it was hit at 46 degrees... and travelled eg 150 meters...
In all likelihood, the biggest 6 ever hit in cricket has not been captured on video, so we'll never really know anyway. Just appreciate the clean hitting!
Something about the WACA though, I recall seeing Mark Waugh land one on the Lillee Marsh stand in a test match several years back. Would love to see some footage of that.
another bigger 6 was hit by imran khan at edgbaston cricket ground, it cleard the field, the car parh and landed on the public road, that was alot bigger than this, but this shot is also massive.
Biggest 6 in history was by afridi against Australia, its been confirmed by the ICC and the international cricket board..fastest bowler is shoaib akhtar, also confirmed.
Are you talking about the 6 Afridi hit off Symonds? That was at the WACA, same ground as this video. This one went out of the ground, Afridi's didn't. This is bigger.
@bongo155 maybe, the diff. is afridi hit the long boundary, not the side which is shorter! Also, there was no breze when afridi hit it, it was a humid night!
@a1a2b3c4d5e6f Have you ever been the WACA? And it depends where the pitch in the square is being played. And even if Afridi's was on the slightly longer side we're only talking a few metres.
@bongo155 no i think this was at the other end than afridi's.. and there aren't any stands where this shot was hit..so thats y it went out of the park. When afridi hit his straight there was the huge stand in the way. But i think this one went higher than afridis, thats y it seems bigger. but afridi's was a massive flat six! pure power!
@bongo155 oh thats good for you, i've never been. But are you blind? THERE'S NO STANDS WHERE THIS SHOT WAS HIT, COMPARED TO AFRIDI'S WHERE THERE WAS A HUGE STAND IN THE WAY.
True ... but he cleared the stadium by about 30-40 metres ... if you watch the shot in better quality it lands in the nets on the first bounce ... small ground or not thats close to 200m which is massive .... Perera hit a ball 130m at the WACA in the t20 a few days ago and that one was big enough.
not good quality

@willandshaylin2008
Afridi's was a juicy full toss that appears to be came at 100-110kmph. He had enough time to hit. But this guy hit against a pace bowler also the ball doesn't look too bad, and btw.. he got less reaction time to make it so big.. so, by anymeans, this is far better than afridi's

WONDER WITH SHOT
royal6116 1 year ago
CK Nayudu was the biggest six hitter of all times. He once hit a six at Edgbaston, which went outside the stadium, and fell, across the river Rhea flowing outside the stadium, into next county. He used to regularly hit a clock tower, near his home ground, which was atleast two hundred yards from the pitch.

fake biggest was afridi
9shazad 1 year ago
this is fake the longest six is afridi hit at waca
ghulam757 1 year ago
@ghulam757 why is this fake? I was watching the game on TV when it happened. Not sure whose six was bigger (Afridi's or Blizard's) but Simon O'Donnell hit one into the top tier at the MCG (which is a much bigger ground than the WACA) - they even put a plaque where it landed!
ItchyMrBoy 1 year ago
@ItchyMrBoy 1st tier mate. not the top tier. still a massive hit.

@jolthorn I stand corrected - cheers.
ItchyMrBoy 1 year ago
@ghulam757 your a clown this was the first 2020 domestic games in australia blizzard hit 86no i think off about 30 balls and afridis only went into the prindiville stand 40 to 50 metres over the boundary this is atleast 30 - 40 metres bigger sorry my friend
gabberfein 1 year ago
@gabberfein meant first domestic season final
gabberfein 1 year ago
that was pretty small six, longest six is hit by Afridi
iumer 1 year ago
It was Aiden Blizzard and either that or Afridi's at the same ground would rate as the biggest 6's ever hit.
adstow 1 year ago
It looked like a full toss so if you get onto one from a fast bowler its gone. Nicely timed and given what it deserved. Would have been funny if it was a putting green and got a hole in one by leaning up against the flag.

Definately bigger than Afridi's, which was itself enormous. The sound as he hits this is just orgasmic.
mattsicles 1 year ago
@mattsicles,
Afridi one is at international level. This is a domestic shot
sonofthedestroyer 1 year ago
@sonofthedestroyer It makes no difference at what level this was hit, compared to another. This is just bigger.
mattsicles 1 year ago
afridis was bigger the fact it never went out the ground dont mean fuck all arfidis was hit into the top of the stand and was still on the way up it was a massive blow this was big but no where near as big as afridis off of symonds
willandshaylin2008 1 year ago
fuck the mother of shahid afridi who the fuck is he this is bigger than him
and afridi's six was not bigger than youvraj singhs's six in t20 world cup2007
it was 119 meters this year chris gayle hit a six of 112 meters
shahid afridi sucks india's dicks
hazarepashtoonghai 1 year ago
One of THE BIGGEST sixes you will ever see.... But all the debate my friends is useless as there is no accurate way to tell the "biggest of all time". Until we have hawkeye outside of stadiums on cranes, maybe we'll never know!!! Cracking six though... (bigger than Afridi's for sure).
infokill 1 year ago
@infokill you can tell how far a ball will go by i.e the distance travelled or techically speaking the displacement by, a, the angle in which the ball is hit, b, the velocity the ball leaves the bat, c, the height of the ball at point of contact, d, wind assitance or resistance... its simple physics or mathematical mechanics , any A level student of either subject can tell you that. ps you can also measure the max height of the ball, as gravity is always 9.81 ms-2 , only variable is wind.
harunyahyadotorg 1 year ago
@harunyahyadotorg so what technology do you use to measure all of these physics and mechanics??? I expect to see this technology used in upcoming tournaments! :)
infokill 1 year ago
@infokill, its not perfect, as u can only perfectly measure in a vacuum. in real life you have wind assistance or resistance, so it will be estimate.
in the 20/20 world cup where india won, they had a machine to measure the speed of the ball after contact with the bat. the fastest i so, was 133kmph-1 yuvrag hitting broad, in his third six i think. but it was a flat shot so didnt go as far.
but the good news is u can see which shot has the most speed/power, if it is hit right will go farthest
harunyahyadotorg 1 year ago
@infokill, in fact it was the first six (of the six in row, yuvrag hit of broad), which came of the fastest from the bat, right after flintoff and yuvrag had a word. As a english fan its one i dont wish to see too often. but it was good cricket.
harunyahyadotorg 1 year ago
@harunyahyadotorg dude it sounds great in theory but I will stick by what I said in the first place "all the debate my friends is useless as there is no accurate way to tell the "biggest of all time". Need to see much greater improvement in six measurement technology before the record books can start recording effectively.
infokill 1 year ago
@infokill yes agree with you, unless cricket is played indoors with zero wind, (or in space, with zero air resistance lol). With playing Indoors, so at least its the same for all bats men, (type in afridi hits roof on youtube and thats probably got the most speed of all the hits, as it hits a roof 93 meters high on the hypotenuse which is about 107m in the air of about 65 degrees to the ground, so it could have been the furtherst if it was hit at 46 degrees... and travelled eg 150 meters...
harunyahyadotorg 1 year ago
indeed a very big six, but i am not sure if its the "biggest".
I have seen lot other player hit that bigger. Just today, i saw Chris gayle hit 112 meters of six against india in CricketT20 world cup.
So ya, no one really knows. But it doesnt matter, a striking six is always amusing.

Does it really matter who's hit the biggest 6?
In all likelihood, the biggest 6 ever hit in cricket has not been captured on video, so we'll never really know anyway. Just appreciate the clean hitting!
Something about the WACA though, I recall seeing Mark Waugh land one on the Lillee Marsh stand in a test match several years back. Would love to see some footage of that.

another bigger 6 was hit by imran khan at edgbaston cricket ground, it cleard the field, the car parh and landed on the public road, that was alot bigger than this, but this shot is also massive.
bagshitass 1 year ago 2
Edgbaston is tiny compared to the WACA.
bongo155 1 year ago
Biggest 6 in history was by afridi against Australia, its been confirmed by the ICC and the international cricket board..fastest bowler is shoaib akhtar, also confirmed.
bagshitass 1 year ago
Are you talking about the 6 Afridi hit off Symonds? That was at the WACA, same ground as this video. This one went out of the ground, Afridi's didn't. This is bigger.
bongo155 1 year ago 9
@bongo155 maybe, the diff. is afridi hit the long boundary, not the side which is shorter! Also, there was no breze when afridi hit it, it was a humid night!
bagshitass 1 year ago
@bongo155 yeah but this one is the other side of the ground...the othe one the "printible" stand is the longest stand
a1a2b3c4d5e6f 1 year ago
@a1a2b3c4d5e6f Have you ever been the WACA? And it depends where the pitch in the square is being played. And even if Afridi's was on the slightly longer side we're only talking a few metres.
bongo155 1 year ago
@bongo155 the side matters think over it and lets suppose this one is big so then Afridi is Afridi........ no1 can match him
PakiEagle1 1 year ago
@bongo155
a cricket ground aint symmetrical you know
KILL4N4IN 1 year ago
@bongo155 no i think this was at the other end than afridi's.. and there aren't any stands where this shot was hit..so thats y it went out of the park. When afridi hit his straight there was the huge stand in the way. But i think this one went higher than afridis, thats y it seems bigger. but afridi's was a massive flat six! pure power!
both massive blow's though
achakhasa 1 year ago
@achakhasa I've been to the WACA. Have you?
bongo155 1 year ago
@bongo155 oh thats good for you, i've never been. But are you blind? THERE'S NO STANDS WHERE THIS SHOT WAS HIT, COMPARED TO AFRIDI'S WHERE THERE WAS A HUGE STAND IN THE WAY.
achakhasa 1 year ago
@achakhasa The stadiums at the WACA arent exactly big. Its hardly the MCG.
bongo155 1 year ago
True ... but he cleared the stadium by about 30-40 metres ... if you watch the shot in better quality it lands in the nets on the first bounce ... small ground or not thats close to 200m which is massive .... Perera hit a ball 130m at the WACA in the t20 a few days ago and that one was big enough.
