This was not SALSA!! This was two peeps doing stunts that wowed the crowd, but not the proffesionals... I take many dance classes, and I saw about 11 intermediate moves and waaaayyyy to much acrobatics. It gives people a bad veiw of the real salsa.

I agree with all those who said that the music detracted from the essence of the dance. Salsa is sensual, graceful, and subtly passionate. This dance was the complete opposite: rushed, graceless, and not at all tinged with the characteristic salsa chemistry between the two dancers. I think that they are both good dancers, but that they are not well suited to this genre.

Well, I guess they did dance it to a Hindi Pop song - da moves are drawn very much from Salsa thou and not from say Tango or Ballroom or any number of other dances. As a Salsa Purist, I cringe when it's danced to Pop. But this is Television and they do stuff like that all the time, even in SYTYCD. If this gets even one student to walk into my class asking for Salsa, they have done a good job promoting this dance Genre, through music that connects with the vast majority of the audience in India.
