I don't think that it's the wax that gets darker...I believe that it would be her skin. I've heard that the thin layer of wax is barely a type of skin preservative...hence the miracle of the incorrupt bodies.
why do saints remains get dismembered and various parts of their remains go to key places? Surly this shows no respect to the saint that a person is praying for a miracle too because where is the saint dignity and the dignified respect followers have for them if they do such things as dismembers them? I personally was saddened to see only this saints head is made of wood which to shows no admiration nor regard to St Claire in my point of view
when someone dies, the soul is purified trough purgatory and then goes to heaven. there it will join the saints and all the angels forming a holy communion (church). if someone feels the need to pray to a saint, he will be joining this communion trough prayers and praises which gives more strength to his prayer. as Jesus Christ is the 'bridge' between our Father and us, the saints are the bridge between us and Jesus. mt advice, pray a lot :) especially to the Virgin Mary
We just cant blame people who are being close minded. Its not a matter of believing. Its called having "faith into what you are believing". God ddnt say "you shall pray 2 no other but me". He said "You shall have no other gods before me" and "You shal not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything". Catholic faith has saints it is because they are the chosen one of God who proved their devotion, unbreakable faith and love with God. They exist not to make them as God but to be a model 4 us
You are correct.The body is dead but not their Faith. Their life experience made me realize to be with Jesus despite of all odds. Their inspiring sacrifices made me call their name and said PRAY FOR US......God bless us all..
I guess, this is not the only thing that you disagree about the Catholic Faith because you probably have different belief from ours. We have very very good reasons and very very strong proofs why the Saints exist. Just go to EWTN Channel and watch it everyday so that you'll know more. God bless!
