Most of my friends now started off in the rave scene and then graduated to harder stuff crack, meth, etc. But that the scene was bad ass back in 90s early 2000s Now not so much but back then it was the shit. Still love the music will never quite listening and visiting clubs on occasion.

People partying iressponsibly is what ultimately killed that Rave scene in the Tpa area back in the day. A girl fished out @ The Turtle Club, wasn't being watched and fell back and cracked her head. She went home and died. Her mother started a shitstorm (which you can't blame her for). She was just a kid. The scene was great but wasn't meant to last. Too many drugs, you don't need drugs to have a good time. Took me a long time to realize that.

OMG Fantasy Ranch? This was the karma way before Fantasy Ranch, when DJ Mondo, FBI, SANTANA, BABY ANNE, ICEY AND FREAKIN MORE spinned at the Amphitheater. It's like the re write of Garfield, the Care Bears and G.I. JOE... Only difference is the individuals that actually produced the music performed live,and you guys are dealing with the left overs.Spend two minutes at 1Club.fm by Santana. Find the real artist, they're still out there and show some respect.

What happened is when all the corporations started investing and ran the local owners out.. driving up rents, not many places could afford to stay open.. but they were what people were really coming for.. now that they are going under.. many local people are opening up more eclectic places.. which is when Ybor was great.. artists, poor people, cubans and italians.. Second hand stores.. and gay bars!

Then when it went to the pleasure dome... they had "Gay Nights" which was an insult to many people who supported Trax and El Goya... That was the end of the best gay night club in Tampa...
