Becasue of the loss and between each of those fight's, he learned how to be a 2 fisted fighter. In fight 1, all his big shots are straight LH's, in this one its right hooks. In 2 other rounds think 9th and 11th he staggered Marquez in the ropes. Pacquiao landed nearly as many punches according to compubox, only under 10 punch landing difference, but Pacquiao had the harder hits. Marquez does not hit as hard as Pacquiao. ON TOP OF THAT, Pacquiao style has 10 times more movement.

i attended all 3 of the fights between these 2 gladiators and i can DEFINITELY attest to the fact that morales was not the same as in the first fight, you couldnt really tell too much in the second fight but its quiet obvious by the third fight that he was not healthy, the weigh-in alone should be all the evidence you need.BUT, manny did what HE had to do,and lay hands on em.honestly, erik shouldn'tve taken the fight.so having said that, u cant blame manny,he did his thing.i think erik knew but

@aunhar Brainless? You're the one who's brainless. Erik Morales had to go down to 130 to fight Pacquiao. Why didn't Pacquiao fight Erik at 135? Did you see the weigh in? Morales looked like he was gonna die and Pacquiao made the weight healthy. That's not the same Morales that whooped Pacquiao's ass in the 1st fight. That's an unhealthy Morales. Pacquiao is a great fighter, but he needs these little advantages to beat a great fighter like Erik Morales.

@SitDownOnUrAss Fighters are given time to train for their fight. If morales knew that he would need to catch the lower weight, im sure he trained for that. But clearly he was the weaker of the two. And those punches by manny were so accurate that even a 200% healthy morales would shit himself. its funny how shitty people like u dont give credit to pacman. He has dominated the boxing world for a decade now.

U need to stop talking straight out of your ass. This is like saying Sugar Ray Leonard wasn't a good boxer. What is great about him, he evolves as a fighter. There's way more head movement in this fight compared to his first fight with Morales and they realized he fought better at a higher weight. He weighs around 145 here.

Some of his fights at higher weights were at a catchweight, ALTHOUGH, many of the fighters like Margarito after the weigh in weighed BEYOND the catchweight. Just like Margarito who GAINED 17 pounds after the weigh in. ALSO, he skipped the 112 and 118 weight division, so technically he would have been a 10 time world champion in 10 different weight classes. There is just no big fighters at 112 and 118 for him to fight.

Pacquiao is not "already super great" before 2008. Prior to then, all he had done was go 4-1 vs. two older fighters who fight the perfect style for Manny: slow, flat footed Mexican fighters. The two victories over Morales are a joke, they were 2 of his last 3 fights before retirement. And you can't tell me he convincingly beat JMM once.
Mayweather won the WBC Super Featherweight Championship in 1998, something Pacquiao would do a full 10 years later.... Mayweather is king of the decade.
