And get a load of this! I copied this sentence from the Wiki article on them: Each year in Japan, the human death toll caused by Asian giant hornet stings exceeds that of all other venomous and non-venomous wild animals combined, including wild bears and venomous snakes.[7][8]. O_O
Beedrill sucks tho, if he was a hornet [his name would probly be hornety or something gae like that, uncreative ass writers] he would be 100x stronger xD
Often several bees perish along with the intruder, but the death of the hornet scout prevents it from summoning reinforcements which would wipe out the colony.
As the hornet enters the nest, a large mob of about five hundred honey bees surrounds it, completely covering it and preventing it from moving, and begin quickly vibrating their flight muscles. This has the effect of raising the temperature of the honey bee mass to 47 °C (117 °F). The honey bees can barely tolerate this temperature, but the hornet cannot survive more than 46 °C (115 °F), so it dies.
When a hornet scout locates and approaches a Japanese honey bee hive it will emit specific pheromonal hunting signals. When the honey bees detect these pheromones, a hundred or so will gather near the entrance of the nest and set up a trap, keeping it open apparently to draw the hornet further into the hive or allow it to enter on its own.
Although a handful of Asian giant hornets can easily defeat the defenses of many individual honey bees, whose small stings cannot inflict much damage against such a large predator, the Japanese honey bee (Apis cerana japonica) possesses a collective defense against them.
They wouldn't be chasing you for long. why are they so extreme for? they are super fast, they have claws, they can melt human flesh with stings, they can bite off heads of small insects easily. what a bunch of crap, these things need to die.
i'm gonna need 9 dozen water ballons 6 water guns and and 9 gallons of water also 9 crocodile newts 5 chubby frogs and 4 water drgons anything else please reply
Usually, people will see only one mantis in this video. But if you watch carefully, there are two different kinds of mantis appears in ths video. Because the video-maker put them together
Poor european bees :( i think if the bees if all the bees had attacked together the hornet would be chanceless but instead they got their ass kicked. those truely are hornets from hell
Let me tell you true story about this Giant Hornet. In Australia about 20 years ago. I visit my grandma's house and saw one fucking huge Hornet about 3"+ very big orange and black stripe and very high aggressive and fly real fast and buzz quite loud. I never saw it before and no idea where the hell this coming from so years later I figure it out it was Japanese GIANT HORNET must have escape or accident trap and into Australia something. I really scared this big time.
I watched this reaction and I literally said, "SHIT!" There aren't any in the U.S., are there? I wanted to visit Japan one day but now I don't believe I ever will. Damn.
But there is a very big different between these asian giant hornets (the biggest and most venomous wasps in the world) and the other cinds of hornets in other continents...
WTF i saw one of these things in Connecticut-i looked up giant hornets, (looked like a hornet, was giant) and i found this...thats exactly what it looked like!!
Well, one of these damn things got the utter CRAP beaten out of it 3 weeks ago in my patio by a HUMMINGBIRD, and NO, the hornet's buddies DIDN'T come to it's rescue either as it limped away to die! The hummingbird attacked it because it came too close to it's babies, who were still being taught to fly by the mother.
That was a European Hornet. They don't leave a scent like Japanese Hornets do. I know because I just checked your profile and you live in the U.S. like me where we don't have Japanese Hornets.
Those Giant Killer Hornet are very deadly. You won't want to mess with them unless you have protective suit to take their hives out of the underground. It's not worth being stung by deadly venom. After being stung, you have 10 minutes to survive before the venom speads without the proper treatment.
Those hornets have been on the Earth even longer than we have, prob since the dinosaurs. We should respect them as sentient beings. We are a lot worse for the environment than they are. They are actually very beneficial insects for our agriculture.
LOL............ i say kill them all. we have created wars over religion and color. but wasps.... and bees and ants.... they create genocide over smelling different. O_o.... there's proof they are not sentient in any ways... genetic programing is a horrible mistress......... there's things you can do to trick insects for hours on time on things they can never learn cause they are programed..
