I hated braces! I had them from sixth grade through eighth and it was torture! Even with the colored bands. They hurt and are ugly!

braces arent bad at all!!!!! i have braces on now and it doesnt hurt, yes the first couple days they hurt, but you get used to them. and now kids can chew gum just not bubble gum, braces are fun to chose colors and stuff and its great becuase you get to learn how to take better care of your teeth some people get an awesome toothbrush-i did lol.

i got my today it hurt when they put it on for me cos i have a sensitive tooth put putting on doesnt hurt it mite do a bit when they put on the wire but the first few weeks it will hurt and tehn it should be fine

relax, i know so many people who have braces (i actully have to get them soon) and they don't hurt. i'm told spacers hurt aftewards(nothing alieve can't fix) but they don't hurt while theyare getting put in. and braces are a little soar afterward but i'm told they don't hurt at all when you get them on. i hope that makes u feel better

I've had troubles with my teeth ever since I got my adult ones. Since then i've had a special appliance to widen my gum, braces on and off, my teeth were rated about a 4 of 5 (5 being worst case). It worked remarkably fast, and 4 months early i'm getting them off. I got colours to match my costume around christmastime, and now they're my favourite colour purple. I got individual bands first time around, but it's really improved since then.

mkkayy, well braces don't hurt when they put them on. it's juss the gluee, or w'e , it got on my tonguee, and it was sourr and reallyy badd D: i couldn't talk, cuz my moutthh was open and i had to survivee. the first day, later, it starts hurting! BAD. i couldn't sleep , it was hell. buhh, ADVIL=LIFESAVER!! haha, and they hurt for 3 days, and it goes away, i love them noww, they're cute, its juss the food getting stuck in them..THAT suxx . andd yea, everythingg yaa need to know :PP. I actually got seen by an orthodonist when I was 8 and he said to come back in a year because I'd probally need braces. That was 4 years ago never even passed that office again and my teeth are bad.

a bit yes it is going to hurt the worst bit is the first few days they will be sore because there pulling back your teeth at a crazy speed but after about 2-3 days the pain goes and your fine . =]

say if u have an operation or go to the hospital u dont need to pay for it, and u dont pay for braces either, its sort of because its not really your fault n stuff, it stand for national health service, its been liek that for a long time in my country (UK)

They will talk about special routines and stiff take xrays and mold of ur teeth in order to find the right braces that will fit you! :)

My three kids, my husband and I all had braces done by Dr Sierk. He was terrific with the kids, very friendly staff (Terri is great!) and it was a great experience. Our youngest, and last one in braces, got his off today and as usual, we are very pleased. We recommend Dr Sierk and his staff highly.

I got them today, it didn'd hurt at all. But when u get home it starts a hurt a little. You might have headics. Cause they start to move qucikly once you put it on. And it's kind of annoying becuause they keep telling you to open &close your mouth all of the time. And they dry yur mouth then put something sour on it, then some kind of mold. And dont worry, tighting does not hurt like everyone says. They just take the little things and twist it around, u feel a pull,it dosent hurt thought. (:

i got braces yesterday. top & bottom. their pink. i have to go back every 6 weeks. they hurt. this is day #2 with them. i miss eating whatever i want whenever i want. none of the orthadontists in my state have brackets like those shapes. just normal. but they do offer goldish or silver braces.

I have crocked teeth and a LOT of spaces. My dad said I should get braces so I went in yesterday and they gave me braces and I picked heart ones and the colors blue and pink. My dentist has shapes with colors and just shapes and just colors and just regular braces. He also has the most coolest and the most craziest retainers! I love going to the dentist!
