  • boc that warm feeling in the early cold nights, early morning

  • BOC goes perfectly looking through old photographs.

  • Relax

  • Try falling asleep with this music, especially with studio monitor headphones. You'll enter a dreamscape from which you cannot escape from...

  • Even this music cant stop me saying that ,if that dancing girl in the video had danced like that in front of me I would have punched her in the face. She looks like a cobra being hypnotized by a flute.

  • @MajmeKriza Aahahahaha my sides hurt so bad. Laughing so hard at that comment.

  • Every single one of the BoC pages should have comment sections restricted to individuals who don't respect music.

  • @marimbajd restricted FROM people who can't respect music, surely

  • This soundtrack lemme think of aliens...

  • Man, this song has gotten me through some long nights doing papers and im still not tired of it. props to BOC...

  • what i imagine is being in the verdugo mountains at night (near burbank, the natural border between burbank and pasadena), where you can barely hear the cars.

  • Does this remind anyone else of video game menu music?

  • I really don't want to be another one of those psychonaut youtube guys who say "Oh yeah this song is so awesome when you're trippin on _____, blah blah blah". But, when I was on mushrooms, this song was...just...perfect.

  • @BenderThaMagnificent

its so subtle and soothing. things like this help me keep positive during trips.

  • No words.

    Beautiful.

    ▐▐▐

  • Makes me want to take pictures...

  • Smooth Outsider Motel Sex!

  • like and dislike thumbs. why u no further abart?

  • Ah... children do never start wars, not either on a webpage.

  • 5:07 aaggghhhhh!

  • Wonderful....reminds of better days :-)

  • @kulahshaker83 when did you hear this song before?

  • BOC did a beautiful thing without knowing they did beautiful things. This in itself is a beautiful thing. Thank you, BOC, for the beautiful sound of things.

  • I would love BOC to do film soundtracks!! So many scores these days, are loud generic tripe!!. This track is so amazing; moody, atmospheric, and laced with a sense of doom.

  • @bagg10101 I was thinking the same thing a few days ago. I'd love to hear what they'd come up with. So amazing.

  • I've listened to and contemplated this track since I first heard it years ago. It reminds me of how the sky used to look back when I was a kid, running carefree and playing outside in the country. I'm so glad this music exists. Not a fangirl, just an appreciative human-oid.

  • @SuburbanoidMisfit111 No you definitely sound like a fangirl. Once you start liking a song, that's when you've gone too far. Turn back while you still can. No I'm just kidding, carry on with whatever you were doing.

  • beautifull

  • Bords of Canada is my life, its the only thing that helps calm me if im upset :)

  • was waiting six minutes for the beat to drop in then

  • @1986irv well i'm sorry

  • well those were six minutes of my life ill never get back

  • @polkadotfaceful Lol. Go listen to Justin Bieber.

  • @polkadotfaceful

    Smart cookie^^

  • make me think of how i am alone since my heartbreak was over, one year ago

  • given the choice, i would choose boards of canada to orchestrate the sound track to life

  • I listen to this when I need to fall asleep.

  • @VZZH lol i do exactly the same thing. I have very found BOC moments in my life which stand out. Testament to the great music, that is not only unique but fascinatingly touching to

  • BOC are absolute geniuses, please please release new music soon.

  • @TheTobyimages cant rush perfection

  • Great stuff!!!!

  • someones reading this, someones hearing this

  • Benoit Mandelbrot was the man!

  • I can never explain the way this song makes me feel. It really brings a tear to my eye at how amazing Boards Of Canada is...

  • TIME TO THINK ABOUT IMPORTANT THIGNS IN LIIFE

  • BOC+Fractals....

    infinity beauty

  • only those who have done businesses before the 90's recognize the sound pattern on the background (it's a slide projector btw).

  • BOC.,...the soundtrack to many, MANY late nights....

  • @osufan77

    So true...

  • @osufan77 no shit.

  • What's that mathematical phenomenon called at the start of the video?

  • @ihadaface fractals, i believe.

  • @ihadaface Fractal Cosmology. The belief in infinity. Think about it.

  • @sif524

    Stop, you're blowing my mind.

  • @ihadaface it's called a Julia set fractal. You can find more information on wikipedia by searching "Julia set fractal" on google. The different change in shapes and shift in colors are achieved by altering the input parameters used to generate such shapes (and then snitched toghether in an awesome animation I must add on a personal note).

  • with BOC i dont need to travel cuz it feels like traveling to some other world or future like an alien planet

  • Where would I find a higher res version of this video?

  • At the pool today with my kids and their little friend, this song reminded of my own childhood fun days as I watched them enjoy a freeze frame of theirs. This music from BoC is magical.

  • I like your video : )

  • Im only after watching a documentry about the Omagh bombing on the BBC panorama website...and theres music in it that i think belongs to Boards of Canada and i cant find it!!! I NEED TO FIND IT even if it means il sit here all night!! :/ btw this song rocks!

  • @Ryansvids99 Haha, I do hope you will find it man. Did you know that the Boards are being used quite frequently in documentaries? (A couple of times @ Louis Theroux for example) It's always such a delight for me to hear them, as it reassures me to regain faith in TV. A dying medium, at least here in the Netherlands (commercial channels are suuuch rubbish. Not that I REALLY care for I'm not the habitual TV watcher, but still .. bad quality, it says a lot about a lot nowadays.)

  • @88Cortex Yeah i found it :D its "DJ Shadow - Midnight in a Perfect World" haha. :)

  • Boc... My escape from reality..

  • like the blonde PJ Harvey type dancing round at the 3.50 and 4.50 mark :)

  • sure is a lot of people waxing poetic on here....i guess that's what this music inspires, even if it's not genuine.

  • fer people on acid!!!

  • boc...the reason I use analog synths and tape :v

  • 12 people like america´s got talent...

  • @krooner that made me giggle

  • sealions rousing their skulls between rock jams along the beach, testing the vertrebrae against curious fracture, because they finally knew they could go insane in twilights valley, and the aptitude within to tremors of gas and hysteria, and that the keepers who once tended this harbor were of an expired case.

  • guys, I like this band, I'm a musician, I smoke weed, and I'm all for loving music outwith the mainstream, spiritual enlightenment and simple hedonism. But can we stop with all the massively gay comments. they just don't seem genuine, people are like "Yeeeah man so this music is like everybody's smiles rolled up into one big q-tip that went into my ears and cleaned out my brain. Im in love <3". I mean, BARF...

  • @andymc24 yeah but for some people this music is life changing, it was for me. I started listening to BOC when I was 15 (found them out on a salad fingers cartoon on fat-pie.com) and since listening to them then its like my whole perspective on music and even the world around me has changed. Obviously I've grown up a lot now too (im 22 now) and a lot of other musicians have helped develop my taste but BOC played a monumental part in that and it does sometimes feel overwhelming

  • It's such a fascinating concept... imagine having a day to see life through the eyes and mind of a kid again. Some thoughts and perspectives stay the same forever, but others are left behind and never revisited again. Surely there are negative traits abandoned when one's childhood ends, but what about positive ones? For example, I know I felt a lot more hopeful and free-spirited when I was younger...

  • AHHHH what are those fractals doing??? I didn't know they could move

  • @ffrmaster What a peculiar statement. What do you think fractals are? That's like saying "What are those triangles doing? I didn't know they could move."

  • @ThatsNotPoetry like is the equation changing? or is a constant changing?

  • @Transombuilder Your REALITY is changing, maaaan. :p

  • It never ceases to amaze me the comments people leave.

  • IS IT NEW AGE? IS IT DOWNBEAT HOUSE?IS IT AMBIENT?IS IT TRANCE?IS IT CHILLED LOUNGE? DONT KNOW.

  • @paulkazjack Let's just call it "good music" :)

  • @paulkazjack Boards of Canada defies Any proper categorization. At its purist it can only be labeled "True music"

  • It really reminds me of the way my mind felt as a small child.

  • boards of canada armoniza con el sonido de mi espiritu...

  • loving the moving fractals in the vid. Props.

  • @NewEggMe ------>NewFagThy sucks in every comment

  • It was eh. Dntel did it better.

  • @hosephollywood2

  • I LIKE BOC, BUT I ALSO LIKE CAT NIP MIXED WITH CAT URINE

  • if I were to choose between becoming deaf or blind...I would choose the latter. Since I know BoC

  • @frankdiley LATTERS ARE EXPENSIVE. WHY BOTHER. I RECOMMEND HOMEDEPOT.

  • die before I have to see this video drugged. Why I can not feel such emotions as felt by all? I feel marginalized: (

  • If you like this kind of music then you'll dig my stuff

  • @AdrianBuruca I DIDNT COME HERE FOUR YOUR MUSIC; I CAME FOR ME TO HEAR MY BOC AND PEE ON MYSELF.

  • timeless track ! The video is genius

  • @BillNepill TIME IS NEVER TIME AT ALL, YOU CAN NEVER EVER BE THE SAME PERSON AS YOU WERE BEFORE. SMASHING PUMPKINS

  • this song makes me long for something special but I don't know what.

  • @calmonkey1 MONKEY MAYBE?

  • Boards of Canada saved me from my loneliness and instead made me embrace it.

  • @matticusmusic I LIKE EGGS

  • @matticusmusic Elaborate?..

  • @JayDee98765 To put it simply... Some of the greatest moments in my life were when I was walking in the forest near my home, completely alone, listening to this song. Other than that... I really couldn't put my feelings for Boards of Canada into words. Which kind of makes sense, given their style of music.

  • @matticusmusic Tranquility of solace? I think I know what you mean... personnel I get that when ever I jog in the morning. My mind's just blank, it's great. Then the day to day stuff rushes in and chaos breaks out in my head. Check out "seananners why so serious" in the search bar ^, the guy in the vid talks about this..

  • @matticusmusic I know what you mean. Thats called "Melancholy" and thats selfdestructive!

  • @TheMartinchr

Solitude is not self-destructive. It is a time for meditation.

  • how can a song change you for ever

    what a dick

  • @thejay3033 im the dick huh? lol

  • that dancing girl is hypnotizing me

  • Salvador Dali?

  • this is the same feeling as the first time i ever fell in love

  • @stevensmodrnlife I feel excatly the same!!!!!

  • @missigne OKAY...

  • @stevensmodrnlife REALLY WELL THATS ODD, THIS WAS THE SAME FEELING AS THE TIME ME AND TIME HIEDECKER HAD ANAL SEX. QUITE AN DIFFERENT OUTCOME WOULDNT YOU SAY?

  • kid for today me encanta por sus synths exelentes como todo lo que hace boards of canada. In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country el concepto de este Ep boards of canada ase referencia a los paisajes y la naturaleza.

  • This song changed my life. No joke. I feel like I experienced the Universe in my own unique way.

  • WHAT AN A-M-A-Z-I-N-G VIDEO!

    W.O.W!

  • fucking positive music. love it

  • boards of canada is amazing. i've never thought so deeply into a song with no lyrics

  • @mordecai656 i came up with the same idea. guess thats the point

  • Sounds familiar but I've never heard it.

  • @Mikeromeo18 'You Could Feel The Sky' sounds some what similar

  • mello soothing cool chillllllllllouuuuut. helps me forget about the day's troubles.

  • @kidfortoday Wow, you too, huh?

What's not to like about this song?

  • This has to be one of my favorite tracks by them, I wish music like this narrated my life.

  • @rablesesse haha yeah me too, i'd love for this to be playing in my head 24/7

  • someone had a reallly cool acoustic guitar cover of this song on youtube some time ago but i guess he deleted it, but if your reading this then you need to upload it again, it was pretty amazing

  • someone had a reallly cool cover of this song on youtube some time ago but i guess he deleted it, but if your reading this then you need to upload it again, it was pretty amazing

  • they must really love tapes, that one sound that always repeats, sounds like a tape hitting the end of a rewind.

  • really beautiful work..

  • could we get this in higher quality?

    like, 1080?

  • @bobobob1230 dude it's youtube, go buy a FLAC if you're going to get your undies in a bundle. Besides, BoC is LoFi.

  • @LIGHTRONIX

it ain't LoFi, listen to their tracks in flac with a decent audio system - totally different and mind-blowing experience!

  • @bobobob1230 buy it.

  • top top tune!!

  • I get chills every time when I listen to this song. That's either a very long string of coincidences, or my brain really likes BoC. :)

  • lmao great song

  • This is....really trippy but incredibly soothing.

  • @shenmue4life What the hell are you on sir? Such a great song, makes me feel things I've never felt before

  • if you never pour rustic coffee into a womens rusty vagina, you will have achieved an xbox achievement, 10 gamerscore, good luck, but make sure to rub ass bacon all over the alkaline batteries before you squeeze soviet dentures from the naked ascension.

  • if you want to get authentic sounds like this in your music, you need to go deep into the woods at night, play the flute of the tree whistles than you must accept tree jizz into your rectum and get fucked by deer and trees and rabbits, than you will be boards of canada thats what they like to do, they like to go to the woods and fuck deer, its so much fun, you guys should try it .

  • this music plays on repeat in the elevator as you descend into hell, and than when the door opens when you get to hell a 400 lb woman shits liquid feces into your face for all eternity, which is 3 days, than the last thing you remember is getting your dick chopped off by needles, and you wake up, it was all a dream.

  • @shenmue4life fuck man that was some horrible imagery lol

  • @shenmue4life My idea of hell is more subtle. Constant feeling of hunger while sitting at a royal feast. Reach for the turkey but your body has no substance and your hand passes through like a ghost. This repeats infinitely. Or complete darkness and silence for eternity. Or the inability to sleep despite being physically and mentally exhausted, forever.

  • make sure to say I love BoC cuz without em you nutters wouldnt travel far back in time and back again to the very present... we admire and adore BoC we are all the fallen angels who sow life through the harvested tunes by the very only BoC

  • i like to meditate to this (sometimes eyes closed and relax, sometimes eyes open and watch the world go by quietly) generates a positive sense of feelings from past and present, and gets me ready to expect more in the future

  • @TheAaron87

I really like and agree with this comment.

  • I imagine death (state of dead) to, instead of observing, you are. Imagine not seeing but feeling all past, present and future. Instead of searching, it's explicitly there without any formal grasp. No need for punishment. No need for reward: It just is. You'll feel it. Kind of like drugs. You are almost there but never get there because you bring part of the living with you.

  • I love this song. It's beauty is only rivaled by it's mystery.

  • that looks so cool lol

  • 4:58-5:03 The Beeping sound is awesome.

  • @xinjinbei Something similar /watch?v=DAwGWptsOls at 3 56

  • boards of canada - david came to manahana'im

also im pretty sure that boards of canada are jews too, so i hope that didnt ruin it for you...

  • how did that ruin it for you, if a religious connection in music ruined the song for you, than you are an idiot...

  • @shenmue4life Thanks for pointing that out, I'll go take a quick look in the mirror and get back to you....

  • however most of the stuff is old testament as relating to boards of canada

  • Where do I find a fractal generator like this?

  • I like that dancing blond girl best. Exellent video. It goes with the music
