I love that sister and I'm glad to see sh'es doing well. Gotta check her book out. Who I still want to know what happened to is a young God that held down a crew of babies, named Deamonte Love...I think about him often, sending that young brotha all positive energy.
I admire Phyllis M. LeBlanc so much I featured her in my profile and recently created a Hurricane Katrina playlist featuring her. If you haven't already, I recommend watching Spike Lee's documentary called "If God Is Willing and Da Creek Don't Rise." Runtime is 4 hours and worth every minute; it's on HBO this month (8.27.10). <3 AC
thats right dont stop...stay strong i loved you on the documentry and i will support your book..my fam is in louisiana and i never will forget katrina
Thanks for keeping it so REAL!!!! in your book "Not Just the Levees Broke".I'm from the Chi, but my father was from La. I feel a real connection with you all and your struggle to recover your LIFE in the aftermath of Katrina. Know that there are people who still hold you all up inPRAYER. Your Sista, SEG
Thank you Phyliss for being the voice of the citizens of New Orleans Good job!. As to the question of fresh water, my 80 year old mother lives a block from the beach in Pass Christian, MS. It took FOUR MONTHS for them to get drinkable water.
STRENGTH AND HEART. THIS IS A STRONG WOMAN. MUCH RESPECT.
