  • My tailgate keeps hitting mine. I can't get it low enough to clear the tailgate. I have not installed it I just set it in there. I have an 08 Tundra.Any Suggestions?

  • @bikermonkey74

We have had other customers install this lightbar in their Tundra with great results. I spoke to my technical manager and he said the reason it may be hitting is because it is not securely mounted. If you have specific questions or Tech Department would be more than happy to answer any other questions you may have or walk you through the install. You can give them a call at 1.877.LED.Glow. If I can answer anything else for you just ask!

  • I have an 2006 Chevy silverado, it's the basic work truck model and I'm looking at getting one of these. Since I don't have any towing adapters on the truck, can I still do this?

  • @Hummerfan87

Yes you certainly can. we include a wiring harness what will allow you to splice the light bar into your existing brake, reverse, and signal wires. If you have any other questions just ask!

  • If I were to mount these with the tape side facing down towards the ground, would the lights still work as well or almost as well as having the tape side down like it is in the video.

  • I just bought a different brand of tailgate lights and connected to the harness on my truck. The right turn signal and half of the brake lights work but the other complete half doesn't work. What's going on? Faulty connection? Should I return the lights for a new set?

  • @hondabigredes

I cannot speak of any other brands and why they are malfunctioning. What I can speak of is the quality of LEDGlow's Tailgate Bars and the one year warranty and free lifetime technical support we offer with all of our kits. Personally I would get a bar you know is going to work first time. Let me know if I can answer anything else for you!

  • @hondabigredes Hook the light bar up directly to a power source and see if they work. if yes, then rewire in order to function correctly. If no, then return the faulty units for a refund or exchange for a new kit.

  • @Whitehorze Thanks, i fixed it now. turns out it was a faulty connection from the power source.

  • how will i do this in a tacoma?

  • @jonatanalmendares

Virtually the same way, it is a pretty universal install. If you do have vehicle specific questions, feel free to contact or Technical Specialists at 1.888.GS.Gauge and they will be more then happy to give you a step by step install.

  • @ledglow ok thanks

  • Are These Legal In Texas ?

  • @roman13w

As far as I know, they are legal everywhere. I have never heard of any issues regarding law enforcement with these light bars. If you have any other questions just ask!

  • Whats the song and the background plz? oh yeah I'm about 2 buy this for my truck Chevy but i seeing comments y'all have issues with the Chevy wire harness is it OK to buy right now?(updated)? and the song plz lol...

  • @HoustonRocket281

We have fixed the issue that was causing the light bars not to work with Chevy Trucks, and they are working 100% perfectly. You are more then ok to buy it now. I will try to find out the name of the song for you, I don't know off the top of my head. If you need anything else just ask!

  • @ledglow Thank you!

  • @HoustonRocket281

    My pleasure!

  • I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado with a towing package. It has a 7 pin trailer lighting plug. I used a 7 to 4 pin adapter to try out the light bar. Everything worked but the running lights so I figured it may be the plug. I tested the wires at the 7 pin harness and they all worked fine so I hardwired it and it still works except for the running lights.

  • @sprytyler

Ok, We know this is a problem with the Chevys. It is a manufacturers defect. I do have a wire harness that will absolutely fix this problem and I can get this sent out to you asap. Shoot me an email with your mailing address and I will get that out to you. You can email me at jason@ LEDGlow. com

  • I can't get the running lights to work. Everything else works but the running lights. I spliced into the wires going to the trailer light receptacle. There's power at the receptacle for the running lights but the bar doesnt work. When you splice into the stock wires do you go into the tail lights directly like you did in the video for the back up light?

  • @sprytyler

What kind of vehicle do you have? We found an issue with our new light bars with Chevy and are working to fix it. Just let me know and we will go from there!

  • What if your truck already has a wire for the reverse lights in the receptacle? I have a 7-way round receptacle by the way.

  • @jaredmoses1

Our bar only works with a flat four pin connector. You would have to splice in, unfortunately. If you have any other questions just ask!

  • So how do you hard wire it, if your truck doesnt have the 4 pin plug.

  • @Fordman903

There is a wire harness that comes with the kit, and you just splice that into your stock running, brake and reverse light wires. If you have any other questions just ask!
