rampage is one of my favorite people in all of mma. i know his career might be winding down now but rampage is a fighter and if he goes out the way chuck liddell did ( basically making sure he doesnt have it anymore ) then so be it and i will watch every time he fights. i know its hard to watch a former champion go out on a losing streak but its the only way a fighter really knows if its time to retire.

A lot of people don't know this,but after Bas had won the UFC heavyweight title, he was planning on moving back down to Light heavyweight(middleweight back then).Until a leg injury forced his retirement.Aside from fighting,Bas Rutten has provided many instructional self defense videos and has trained some of the best in UFC.I remember when he was training Ricco Rodriguez who went undefeated until after he won the UFC heavyweight title.

Don Frye was a puncher and brawler, Ken Shamrock was a wrestler/submission guy, etc. I think Bas was the first guy who was dangerous standing and on the ground, wich is why he is admired by so many. Now everybody is well rounded, it's pretty much standard. Back in the 90's, each guy was only good at one thing. Bas molded himself into a complete fighter back then, while most other guys were pretty much 1 dimensional. Bas strived to be good at everything
