What should one do about housing? We rent a 27 acre property with a little farmhouse. Our children are disabled and our credait is bad. We have stored food etc but I always worry that if we don't own our home we'd lose it somehow.
Daniel, we were at your seminar thank you for all your time/work putting it together. We suggest you start a fan page on Facebook and start a Twitter account to spread the word. Perhaps someone can even keep it current for you. Good luck with your baby, goat and chickens!
You were wise to hand pick a few relevant college classes to take. I spent years in College sucking up al my time learning stuff that I would never use. Then it takes another few years after college to fully realize you don't have any employable skills. Talk about a wasted of youth. Now I'm to old.
I would hate to say it; but you are most likely correct in this analysis. The only stocks which I am buying are Agricultural companies in Australia, Japan, and Brazil that have earnings and cash flow. There is hardly a single US stock properly valued to future earnings. At the end of this we will lose 1/2 of the funds out there and our trade deficit will be a surplus. Regards W
Thanks for your knowledge and insight. I have a relative in a 10year annuity based on the S&P500. Obviously it tanked. Should she rely on the 10year return guarantee(5 more years) or pull out now? Thanks
Thank you. He is a scam artist. He deleted every comment that questioned his education and background. He spins stuff big time. He is just scaring people into buying gold and silver. I question his motives and my comments are deleted. People need to wake up and flush out these scam artists. Comment on his vision victory seminar page and let people know what he is up to. Trust me he just copied Jim Rogers and Peter Shceif and now hes peddling gold and silver.
I hope everyone who listens to this understands that visionvictory is going to make money off of his free seminars, which are designed to get everyone to buy gold. As such, you should take what he says with a grain of salt. George4title is a scam artist too. Do you really think this guy wears American flag shirts? No. He probably wore it for this video and took it off right afterward. Gold is at all time highs. Buy high sell low? Hmmm, no. Good luck.
Thanks for your common sense. I have been telling people all day not to believe him and they have been flagging and deleting my comments. Some people called him a prophet. wtf??? We need to spread the word about this guy.
Thanks for your comments. People are going to get ripped off big time by this guy. I knew he was scamming people when he said he had a goat in his back yard. COME ON! The American flag shirt! He has all the tell tale signs of a scam artist. God, I hope people see through his bullshit. Inflation will probably happen, but not for a few years and gold is not going to sky rocket. The only people saying that are the people selling gold and silver.
just what is the facination with god, what makes people think its so vauable, apart from being shiny what properties does it have for people to go so mad over it?
Gold? You cannot eat gold. And yes the Gov. has the power to confiscate gold. The US dollar has been in decline since the end of the Bretton woods system. Food/ agriculture and commodities are great investments. This guy makes me laugh because he is telling people making ends meat to buy gold and invest in foreign markets. Other countries want something to invest in. Real estate went bust in the US so where does Saudi Arabia invest now?
I heard Saudi Arabia wants gold for payment of oil from the US for the future. Does this mean the government may conviscate gold. Anyway - a loaf of bread will need to be paid with gold. And I don't understand this talk of holding your gold in other countries - how will you be able to spend it in a crisis?
First of all you can't eat gold. Second, telling unemployed and struggling people to buy gold is nonsense. Telling them to invest in volatile foreign markets is nonsense too. Buying seeds and growing a kitchen garden to supplement their food supply is good advice. But the dollar is not a safe currency either. telling people to learn practical trades is a good idea. But dont go out and hold seminars until you actually know what you are talking about.
Hehe, I am a plumber and your my family didn't listen to me when I told them in 07' that the markets (housing stock) would be upside down shortly. They are still not listening to me when I say "Get out of the dollar!"
the new normal is the beginning of the new world order. a new normal is when american dollar will collapse and the banks will introduce the amero and the north american union. the new super power will be in china. first they have to disarm us. but they will have a hard time with that.
Alright, can we see the chickens? So, what other food preparations are ya'll doing? Can/would you be willing to do some videos on that subject? I heard about you from dehydrate2store. We've been doing that too. Stocking canned goods, I'm ordering wheat berries and baking bread from scratch. I need to learn to do that on the grill along with other cooking. We've bought gold/silver from APMEX thanks to your helpful video. I'd love to see some videos on food storage and preparations. THKS
Thank you for this great video. Yes, it is very frustrating--I have a very smart co worker who understands much of what we are talking about here...but still doesn't want to invest in gold and silver. Arg!
Can you plant a garden? Can you pray for job/jobs? You must be in an awful situation. Can you rent a room, even in a lower level so you can have your own space?
I respect and admire the founding fathers. I'm not a supporter of the empire, but I'm also not going to allow the powers that be steal my hope for the nation.
I figure when we drive down the street and all the stores are shut down and business's and facroties are no more that would be a clue to my hubby. Not to speak of the groceries being totally out of anyone's prive range now.........but oh no! He tells me that nothing is wrong and nothing is going on around us. I figure we need to get our finances in order and prepare and set up just in case things go south. If it does not we are ready anyhow. Don't hurt nothin to be ready for s---to hit the fan.
I'm in almost the same situation. If it wasn't for having a family, I would be equally screwed. But what can we do now? With no job opportunities, are we supposed to just wither away? I honestly don't know what to do anymore either..
Realize there is no box. Why wait for jobs, when you can make them yourself? Most people won't succeed in that but for motivated and creative individuals there are always opportunities.
First off ...I love that shirt! I think you have some very good ideas there. Diversification and being astute as to what you can do makes you able to survive no matter what. Great videos you have on UTube. I am married to a guy who won't believe anything too. LOL! It is very frustrating when people stick their heads in the sand and refuse to see the reality all around them. Especially when it is in your own family.
Your hubby is just not as observant as you. try some sutle hints like pointing out to let signs where they weren't there before, or prices going up on some items you buy.

Anyone crying on youtube about this being Obama's fault is a fucking clueless pile of shit. Probably not a good source for advice. If you have enough capital to start a business, DON'T waste it on the shell game. Use the money to get a trades ticket and find a Union where you will protected. Pissing your money away to these creeps will get you no where.
Household Debt-To-Net Worth ratio, which is currently at an all time high of 26%. Rosenberg estimates that depending on where this ratio normalizes (either the pre-bubble 20% level, or the long term average of 16%), it would involve a debt elimination of $3-5 trillion. This delta is simply too big to be absorbed by taxpayers: — bringing credit into realignment with the permanently new and lower level of household net worth..
Your talk of changes coming reminds me of a quote from Babylon 5...
"The future is all around us, waiting in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future, or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain." -- G'Quan
I know what you mean about people not taking any notice. Actually, I think it's worse that you say. The very people who ignored you 2,3,4 years ago now DEMAND info in a manner that almost infers that it's all your fault for not convincing them earlier! It's much easier being a la la over-optimist. People always like to hear that.
If you're stuck for something to talk about - would appreciate your thoughts on the UK situation sometime.
Yeah its frustrating - I have a friend who was pretty unpleasant to me because I tried to help him by suggesting he prepare just a little. At least my heart was in the right place. I'm sure if things ever do get bad he will be knocking on my door. Unfortunatley family comes first, then real friends. People just want to live in denial because its comfortable for them. It isn't easy being unplugged.
I used to have pet chickens too, when I lived in Virginia for a few years... but then I had to move back to the suburbs, which are terrible in comparison. Chickens are so much fun to raise and keep, I miss mine. I wish I had money to put into commodities, but sadly my family and I are already nearly destitute; we're surviving on charity.
The only lesson you need to remember from a Liberal Arts College or University is this: Money can not buy you happiness or true Love; And neither can poverty!
So good to hear a clear, calm voice in the growing MSM clamour about "green shoots". Don't get me wrong; I wish I could see green shoots but all I see is a false flag recovery which will give rise to a universal sigh of relief...and then the real crash will come catch most peeps totally unaware and asleep at the wheel. To paraphrase the Chinese, we do indeed live in interesting times! Keep up the fab work, Daniel.
Thank you!! Many appreciate your channel, POV etc. I feel I've wasted time, floundered in past, (thought about gold/2001ish), glad I know what I know for years. Glad took basic nursing to be employable...now have job...but with friends/others, thank you for posting your POV many share! Keep up great work, many appreciate it. All the best to you and your family.
One has to be willing to risk ridicule and avoidance if one is to be free. Groups have a dynamic which limits members from seeking insights outside of group paradigms. Some parents teach dependency by giving subsidy and setting high expectations; other parents give love and moral support to those children strong enough to go their own way. Being "blown off" by parents and friends is the rejection a strong person can withstand to become INDEPENDENT.
you are an inspiration to many. thank you for all youve done also pls let me know of any potential seminars on the east coast....congratulations, glad to hear wife & baby are doing well!
V.V. Do you ever wonder WHY you "get it" and so many continue not to? I mean, I cannot understand how people can go on -- especially at this point -- NOT seeing where things are leading. It seems and has seemed for some time for so many of us, plainly obvious!.
And I agree, what has been before will never be again. I am not, however, convinced that will be all bad once the "birthing pains" are over.
I am used to the blank stares and glazed eyes too. It took my wife a while to come around, but she's finally listening now (thank God). Neither of us have any financial training nor economics degress, yet we see the truth so plainly now and can't understand why more don't.
When I try and explain the situation, I often get the response that it can't happen, that it's never happened. That's when I say "Yeah, just like national housing prices never declined either, at least until now."
Yeah - what do you do? I have talked to friends and family about this and the whole big picture for years now and they either ignore it or laugh it off. It's the same at work - there are two of us who are awake and we discuss the latest developments every day (and have been accurate over and over) and still get laughed off as nuts! The sheep are so trained that they no longer need a sheepdog - they ostracize each other.
Thank you for the effort you are making to contact the world. I have several college degrees but I agree college is unnecessary if you educate yourself. Most of my college professors were really from a low intelligence group altho they had multiple degrees. I still can't figure out what you really learn in college???
People have a strong desire for things to stay the way they are. Even when they realize the truth they scramble for reasons to belive what they want to be true. Doomsday prophets are never well recieved.
I know the feeling about family and friends not wanting to listen to you-same thing in my life. Lucky my ad listen to me in july and got out of the market. saved him about 45,000
thanks Dan this was mainly because of you. I started looking at your videos in july of 08. Then I started doing some of my own research. great vid keep up the good work
Monarch Precious Metals stole davincij15's idea for minting and selling smaller units -1/10th ounce silver! If you buy 10 of these rounds from Monarch they will cost $37.80 for an OUNCE!!! It is currently only $15.39 an ounce on 06/07/2009. What a rip off, even buying gold 1 gram at a time won't be double the price of gold for an ounce!
My parents took me to church, and I was taught "No man is a prophet in his own town".
My parents told me I was a fool if I didn't listen to others with more experience and head their advise.
My parents were right. The only way to wisdom is by actively SEEKING truth.
But now, even though I spend more time studying economics than anyone they know, they don't listen to me. Just glazed eyes and a repeat of the latest Rush Limbaugh show.
Congratulations that your wife is pregnant! I hope her pregnancy goes well! I know personally that I sometimes get bogged down and stressed in what is going on in the world but it's always refreshing when I remember to take joy in the family and friends I've been blessed with. I'm happy for you!
I tell people so much that they get tired of me. Oh is he talking about Gold and Silver? shut up dude, you are getting so boring. Is he talking about taxes again? Shut up dude, stop being so bitter? Is he talking about the economy again? STFU dude, i mean really.
I certainly agree with your conclusions regarding the economy. Yet, I believe that unexpected phenomena can occur that change the basic rules. Nevertheless I learned that only God knows all, and He seems to bring the headstrong man down sooner or later. Therefore, I ask you to always hedge your bets, don't risk everything even tho' you may be right. Keep an inflatable boat so that you can get across the river when the electric grid fails.
I get the same dismissal when I talk to folks around me. They dont see or understand what is happening and what is comming down the track.
I agree that it will likely be very hard on Americans...and a new world will emerge from this. The major initial outcome it seems to me will be a centralised global banking system.
Too bad so many professional degreed and plus Fathers think with their egos and force Johnny to get a degree. Your Dad and you had the right ideas. Besides, you can take English lit, psychology biology philosophy and other mind candy courses after you make your first million. The world has enough college approved morons and idiots.
I told my sister and her husband to quit pumping money into thier pool business in Arizona last year, they were on the brink last fall/winter and decided to cash in thier 401ks and other investments to try and make it work...I told them to use the money to move out of that area and closer to family, they didn't listen, now thier broke, business is toast, and they have no options....
Just a tip, on the speakers stand or what not on the stage, have a small Amerian flag upside down in view of the audience, and start by telling your audience what it symbolises, this will give you a marker to start your talk from.
I mowed lawns, shoveled snow, collected bottles, etc. to support my needs as a kid. I worked hard in sports and received a 4 year scholarship to a Big Ten University. I studied computer science in the classroom and covered a couple of the Heisman Trophy winners on the field. After college I became self-employed- I have become one of the richest men in California.
Now I am a cyber-poet, the most worthless sort of shady character in society. I do handyman work for those who don't have enough yet.
I listened. I sold all my stocks a few weeks ago, could've make a LOT of money had I stayed in, but I listened, didn't take any chance. 'I'm still waiting' as Diana Ross once sang !
VV, I sure wish you'd provide practical scenarios in which gold/silver would be of practical use in a chaotic environment. If not on this channel, then perhaps on your other channel. Is gold/silver really a commodity you can use for exchange in a time of upheaval? How do you prevent theft or gov't confiscation? Would you have examples of how it was used effectively by individual families during the Great Depression? I've read where community script had success in some parts of the country.
Just think what you missed out on by not finishing college! YEARS and YEARS of paying back student loans.
I could tell from your other videos that you're a smart guy with lots of common sense to go along with your real world knowledge. You've done things the smart way.
In his new book "A Gift To My Children" Jim Rogers says "Take heart if people laugh at your ideas." Seems that they used to laugh at him too, but time proved him to be on the right track.
I completely agree with this video. I've been subscribed for about a year, but i've been telling fam and friends for years to buy silver and gold. Back when it was 1/4 what it is today, they thought I was crazy... I'm glad to see your success on YT, keep spreading the word. Congrats on the new addition! Keep up the good work, your making a difference!
Great video! I obviously suspected something was up when house prices just became totally ridiculous over here in the U.K ...then through web forums started understanding economics etc. I then started watching youtube and what an eye opener it's been. Yea it can get frustrating speaking with people who just block you out, but also satisfying with those who do understand. Yes the party is truely over (easy credit) and now comes the hangover (debt/taxes). Prescription - preparation then real work.
great vid. i love street experiences. it's more pragmatic. my brother is a doctor. i told him about the collapse of our economy and he didn't believe me. he still does not believe me. he is too busy dealing with patients and not seeing what is happening to the economy.
VV, It's funny, I've had pet chickens too. They can actually be friendly sweet creatures. At the same time I had the pet hens, I did lop the heads off some roosters for food. I really hated that part, it tore my stomach up to do it, but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.
VV your channel is my favourite economics channels on youtube, your explanations are always clear and logical. You don't need to invent conspiracy theories to support your claims, you put the real figures together and they speak for themselves. Good luck wit the seminars, I wish I could see them.
Where did you get the money, at 18, to purchase a home and businesses?
How can you be self-made if you got help buying things at 18? What kind of job/salary/allowance/inheritance did you have that gave you the ability? You did not do it alone. So...
I am from a lower middle class family. I was a compulsive saver though and used 3,500 for a down payment on my first home. After that it was mostly creative financing. I borrowed the realtors commission to buy my 2nd.
ourgaia a lot of people assume when you discuss peak oil you are implying that it's almost run out. Not the case at all, still plenty in the ground it's just that it's the deeper, more expensive and lower quality stuff. The energy invested vs. energy return becomes a big factor. Why expend $100 bucks just to break even, it's a waste of time.
right on. the break even costs have risen dramatically. Up here in the North Dakota Bakken, oil companies drill down 2 miles then horizontal 2 miles. This requires huge 3rd party costs.
Ive also run businesses since a child and no one listens to me either . I talked a friend who was going to buy a house at the height of the housing boom that they should not buy for 8 hours , they still didnt listen and kept say well housing never goes down :0( now their screwed and saying they wished they had listened .

Daniel, I think there is something not too stellar in your history. Under cutting by a penny your teacher, then under cutting legit business in your own neighborhood, then being part of the problem in the housing bubble. Free markets at it's best. I'm sorry but your seminar could only appeal to someone who wishes to screw someone else for personal profit.
was he screwing the people who who saved money on their pencils?
Or how about the poor people who had to pay 30% - 50% extra to mow their lawn(the extra just ends up in government so they can start wars etc(ie it dosnt go to legit busness owner.)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I'm far from being an idiot but resorting to name calling is an indication of your lack in making a valid point. Under cutting legit competition is business and completely understood by anyone in business. A free lance kid organizing to put a legit business out of work, is something entirely different. Daniel has worked and still works on the edge of what is legal, to the extent of avoiding taxes with off shore accounts.
the government starts wars with borrowed omoney from the Federal reserve. Virtually every war was started and finished with borrowed money. check it out.
I saved people money and rehabbed houses. If thats being malicious, then I guess I should of just stolen money by applying for some 18yr old grants and entitlements.
Yes, its funny, when you have a culture of government reliance & a bit of hindsight ,how people forget that a sale is a contract freely agreed by both parties, and in any sale the seller is no more or less 'greedy' than the buyer.
Flipping houses is not the same as rehabbing. I'm not an idiot. Part of the major problem in Calif is that some one would buy up old place and get a 30, 60 or 90 day loan, do a quick rehab and resell the place at the ever increasing greedy or unaware 1st home buyer price. Pocket the profit, pay back the loan and start the process again. Hell there was TV programs showing you how it was done.
Were those not buying the flipped homes able-minded, independent adults? Was anyone FORCED to buy the flipped homes?
Isn't that what happens in a free market economy: Someone offers a good or service and someone else makes the decision it is worth it to them to pay the price for it???
If people made poor or uniformed choices to buy what turned out to be over-priced homes, that's on THEM. It's called Free Choice. And thank God for it.
Flipping was a symptom of the bigger problem of easy credit. Want to know how to adjust to the new coming world we are all going to live in? That is without paying for a seminar..here it is..free of charge. Learn to live without any credit of any kind. No charge cards, no revolving credit line with the banks, no Credit..just cash transactions. If you can adjust you life to this way of living now, you'll be fine in the future.
Okay, we DO agree that easy credit is a thing of the past. We've lived debt free for quite some time now, with credit, short or long term, not as a necessary part of our lives. Of course, we're mid-lifers. If I were in my 20's and just starting out -- maybe wanting to buy my first house -- I'd probably have a vastly different outlook. But . .. it is what it is.
I guess we'll all adapt to paying for things upfront, as it once was.
(Incidently, VV isn't charging for his seminars.)
VV -- I share the frustration you feel, as I am the "econ guy" in my family. More have been listening to me over the last year, though. I sometimes include your videos (among others) in a weekly Market/investing newsletter I send to some of them
Congrats on being a self-made guy despite having no formal degree -- you know quite a bit. Some of the best stuff I've learned on economics/finance were not taught in school.
would be nice to meet you if you are doing seminar in PHX area
impossible. china population is huge. they can't even create jobs for their 50+ million people now unemployed. they have poor living condition for many rural. china is a developing nation. they have water problem. china barely can save themselves from this world wide economic crisis.
I agree, just had a friend return from China, many are out of work, they are going to try and push the products on their own people to stimulate the economy, which will work to some extent, but the threat and force by which their gov. rules does not bode well with real free markets, so there is a lot to fix in China before it can be a success, the main response from my friends was massive brainwashing going on...just like some other places :) ...but different style...
The problem is timing. You tell them about what will happen and because it did not happen the day after you loose credibility. They need to know you are right but it takes years for things to happen. Frustrating but its better to speak than not speak.
Hi, don't be offended, but you clearly have had luck - e.g. entering real estate market 10 years ago just before the bubble started - you couldn't lose!!! An 18 year old now would lose thousands in real estate. People ignore the "luck" factor and wonder why they are "unlucky" - its largely due to timing.
Hello, I am here in Europe and have a Wall Street background. I find that VV is very right on. I suggest you look at Veolia in France as a stock to buy, and get rid of your debt if you have any. Business is picking up here in France and there are plenty of opportunities, but not too many people are talking about this. Best to you.
Thank you Daniel, I dont understand why people are blasting that guy man!.. they literally want him to tell them step by step how to make money no one is going to do that, they should read one of his books compared to donald trumps..this is almost how donald trump book goes except for art of war..." when i built my penthouse suit in newyork i bought the best artwork from italy because i like the best so inwards live rich...LOL...NO offense to donald trump tho..!
i didnt loose any money myself but made some on my 401 wish i hadnt given up on real estate so soon or I could a few myself, i thought id would tank faster then it actually did.
I remember telling people to get out of the market in 07 and 08.. My favorite response, "I can't get out now, it can't go down much more." The really sad thing is when they have a 401K and the best they can do is go to cash or just quit their job to take control of their retirement.. Not too many people would quit, co they watch their nestegg disappear.

Parasites, I mean house flippers, like you have caused the escalating rise in housing and rental costs for everyone all over North America. Thanks for nothing!
Damn greedy capitalists. Why didn't you get a real job like most people - real as in actual work, as in work = force x distance.
Any hardworking members of the proletariat who have been saving instead of living on credit would find themselves in a wonderful buyer's market today, thanks to the wild speculation of them dirty capitalists.
But, if they took advantage of the opportunity, would that make them greedy parasites, or savvy opportunists?
Who cares? They deserve it, and cash is king. I have enough now to buy a Paris apartment, all cash. Hooray for me, living for ten years without even a bed here in Europe. Where are you?
What should one do about housing? We rent a 27 acre property with a little farmhouse. Our children are disabled and our credait is bad. We have stored food etc but I always worry that if we don't own our home we'd lose it somehow.

Buying seeds and growing a kitchen garden to supplement their food supply is good advice. But the dollar is not a safe currency either. telling people to learn practical trades is a good idea. But dont go out and hold seminars until you actually know what you are talking about.

THKS

THE GIFT OF INDEPENDENCE:
One has to be willing to risk ridicule and avoidance if one is to be free. Groups have a dynamic which limits members from seeking insights outside of group paradigms. Some parents teach dependency by giving subsidy and setting high expectations; other parents give love and moral support to those children strong enough to go their own way. Being "blown off" by parents and friends is the rejection a strong person can withstand to become INDEPENDENT.

V.V. Do you ever wonder WHY you "get it" and so many continue not to? I mean, I cannot understand how people can go on -- especially at this point -- NOT seeing where things are leading. It seems and has seemed for some time for so many of us, plainly obvious!.

Trazom24 2 years ago 2
Yeah - what do you do? I have talked to friends and family about this and the whole big picture for years now and they either ignore it or laugh it off. It's the same at work - there are two of us who are awake and we discuss the latest developments every day (and have been accurate over and over) and still get laughed off as nuts! The sheep are so trained that they no longer need a sheepdog - they ostracize each other.

I've read where community script had success in some parts of the country.

ourgaia a lot of people assume when you discuss peak oil you are implying that it's almost run out.

Boomer1949 2 years ago
was he screwing the people who who saved money on their pencils?
Or how about the poor people who had to pay 30% - 50% extra to mow their lawn(the extra just ends up in government so they can start wars etc(ie it dosnt go to legit busness owner.)
You have no idea how the free market works.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
I'm far from being an idiot but resorting to name calling is an indication of your lack in making a valid point. Under cutting legit competition is business and completely understood by anyone in business. A free lance kid organizing to put a legit business out of work, is something entirely different. Daniel has worked and still works on the edge of what is legal, to the extent of avoiding taxes with off shore accounts.

Boomer, you almost got it when you called him a 'free lance' Kid.

I saved people money and rehabbed houses. If thats being malicious, then I guess I should of just stolen money by applying for some 18yr old grants and entitlements.
visionvictory 2 years ago
Yes, its funny, when you have a culture of government reliance & a bit of hindsight ,how people forget that a sale is a contract freely agreed by both parties, and in any sale the seller is no more or less 'greedy' than the buyer.
erushbass 2 years ago
Flipping houses is not the same as rehabbing. I'm not an idiot. Part of the major problem in Calif is that some one would buy up old place and get a 30, 60 or 90 day loan, do a quick rehab and resell the place at the ever increasing greedy or unaware 1st home buyer price. Pocket the profit, pay back the loan and start the process again. Hell there was TV programs showing you how it was done.
Boomer1949 2 years ago
Sounds like it WAS a great way to make money.
Do your reasearch, pay your money, and take your chances.........
erushbass 2 years ago
Were those not buying the flipped homes able-minded, independent adults? Was anyone FORCED to buy the flipped homes?
Isn't that what happens in a free market economy: Someone offers a good or service and someone else makes the decision it is worth it to them to pay the price for it???
If people made poor or uniformed choices to buy what turned out to be over-priced homes, that's on THEM. It's called Free Choice. And thank God for it.
Michigansnowpony 2 years ago 3
Flipping was a symptom of the bigger problem of easy credit. Want to know how to adjust to the new coming world we are all going to live in? That is without paying for a seminar..here it is..free of charge. Learn to live without any credit of any kind. No charge cards, no revolving credit line with the banks, no Credit..just cash transactions. If you can adjust you life to this way of living now, you'll be fine in the future.
Boomer1949 2 years ago
Okay, we DO agree that easy credit is a thing of the past. We've lived debt free for quite some time now, with credit, short or long term, not as a necessary part of our lives. Of course, we're mid-lifers. If I were in my 20's and just starting out -- maybe wanting to buy my first house -- I'd probably have a vastly different outlook. But . .. it is what it is.
I guess we'll all adapt to paying for things upfront, as it once was.
(Incidently, VV isn't charging for his seminars.)

Your right 80% is pulling the trigger and 20% is pure luck.

Thanks for sharing! Also I know Europe is not directly in your radar so to speak but I wouldn´t mind if you got any comments on that.

Making forecast on a falling empire is hard enough. :)
Europe will be okay in the long run, but are going to suffer a depression as well. It will be depression lite.

Great talk Daniel. The situation seems bad, and you don't paint a rosy picture. These circumstances will bring out the best and worst in people.
In your case Daniel it is bringing out the best.

What about europe???

Europe has decoupled to some extent from the USA. My concern is their reserve USD.

i didnt loose any money myself but made some on my 401 wish i hadnt given up on real estate so soon or I could a few myself, i thought id would tank faster then it actually did.

Why didn't you get a real job like most people - real as in actual work, as in work = force x distance.
thinkofwhy 2 years ago
Any hardworking members of the proletariat who have been saving instead of living on credit would find themselves in a wonderful buyer's market today, thanks to the wild speculation of them dirty capitalists.
But, if they took advantage of the opportunity, would that make them greedy parasites, or savvy opportunists?

Who cares? They deserve it, and cash is king. I have enough now to buy a Paris apartment, all cash. Hooray for me, living for ten years without even a bed here in Europe. Where are you?

Swinging between economic extremes might be profitable, but existence is more than a business. Not that you would know, of course.
