Who cares what men could do..it's a woman's sport and women are competing. They don't say "Who cares about the NCAA mens championship because even the worst nba team would kill them anyway". It's about being better then your competition and UCONN has done that with remarkable consistency.

this streak is worth appreciating and respecting....i dont care how "bad" the competition is...to go 89 straight wins without slipping up once is amazing...and as far as downplaying it b/c of level of competition...look every year the NBA has about 4 or 5 teams with a LEGITIMATE shot of winning the title...the rest of the teams are just playing for checks...but noone talks about there being no parity in the NBA...you dont have to like women's basketball to respect greatness..CONGRATS UCONN

@f2mdesigns Agreed. UConn has less recruiting competition and all top ranked high school women want to go play for UConn. In Men's College basketball, it's more spread out almost to a point of insanity. How rarely you see a team repeat let alone go undefeated.
