As a Veteran (USAF1963-1967) living at the California Veterans Home I'm reminded everyday of those who served from WWII to the Veterans from Iraq & Afghanistan going through the "Pathway Home." A Veteran is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
Thank you for the reverence. 15 guys from my old Company were lost to one IED, 34 from my old Bn. I'd like to didicate part of this video to them. I was in a long time ago, and they all looked like they could have been my kids. I am awed that for every brave one who falls, another brave one rises to take his / her place.
My tears have been falling today for all our fallen soldiers who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. This symphonic tribute of taps played for them is so beautiful and they are so deserving.
If you need to shed tears , shed them here. The most valuable version of Taps I have ever heard. Paul Miller, member of VFW in Vermont and DAV.

As a retired Military man in the "old military" Taps was played at night just before turning in and at all military funerals.
It is a haunting, soulful, beautiful melody that never fails to bring a tear to the eye.
