How delightful to hear Virginia singing accompanied by her husband in this charming duet from Elisir! Rossi-Lemeni is wonderful and playful as Dulcamara, and Virginia is so sweet and almost girlish, as Adina is suppoed to be! Not to even mention their lovely photos together, they were obviously very much in love with each other, and they lived a harmonious and blissful married life!

Mme. Zeani was jealous of Mr. Lemeni's previous relationships with Callas and Tebladi, and would not allow recordings with them in her home. However, you are correct, Zeani and Lemeni had a very close relationship!~

Zeani was only 29 years old when she recorded this duet with her husband. The precision of the staccatos is incredible! Completely in unison!

The beauty of their rendition of this aria never ceases to amaze me. How difficult this must have been, and how magnificently they did it!
