I called this out as a hoax right when I heard early on they had been on wife swap. Plus, did the Sheriffs dept ask the father if this thing could hold a 40 pound child? It was made of plywood, cardboard and duct tape. If it could not, there was no way the kid could have been in the balloon. Everyone involved, including the Sheriffs dept, is a bunch of morons in this thing.

umm watch the balloon landing videos. once they have it deflated, with the bottom part on its side, you can clearly see an open door.
