Why haven't they fired this bitch yet? I mean I almost cried of joy when it was revealed that Catherine was out. She ruined the books/movie.
She didn't put the blood typing scene in b/c it would make Bella weak?? The film then went on about feminism etc. If they want to make a documentary; go ahead, but don't post them on something like Twilight!
Its really discouraging how Melissa Rosenberg left out some of the BEST lines from the book. Scenes just touch on areas that the book elaborated on. These are important for the story and should not have been left out!
it's comforting to know that the screenwriter seems to know what she's doing. and i'm glad they made the decision to make bella a more strong and independent character. yeah i know in the book she's supposed to be "prone to the danger" and blah blah blah, but that really shouldn't be the excuse for getting rescued all the time. i like the books but the prince-comes-to-the-rescue plotline is getting really tiring.
Hi, Just wanted to say that if u read my bulletin and you wanted to see the part I was talking about in which she says they're taking out the blood typing scene... It's 9:28
Thank God they're cutting back on Edward saving her all the time. I know how that's how it is in the books, but seriously, that's part of what makes me loathe Bella as a female character. She's never really given a chance to be independent. I'm stoked about Kristen's portrayal of her - her strength will really give Bella some much needed backbone. And I'm glad that Rosenberg was selective about when and where Edward played the hero.
i am totally understanding of what shes saying about bella being a strong female character and all but SHES ACCIDENT PRONE A MAGNET FOR DANGER HES SUPPOSE TO SAVE HER. its just part of who bella is. i am not going to die for them taking that scene on but it was just a funny moment between edward and mike too that made me laugh. i can deal with it tho. i just find it odd that they would say he saves her too much when its suppose to show that shes accident and danger prone.
too many scenes where he rescues her?? what the heck?? that is the WHOLE point. he wants to protect and save her. you cant have too many scenes of him rescuing her in a story like this, becase that is the whole story!! what is so hard to sticking to the book and using a scene that is a big part??
but im really glad this book is becoming a movie, and the actors are great soo im very very excited for Nov.21!!
my thoughts exactly. bella's accident and danger prone, thats how it is and is suppose to be. pluse i can only think of four times including that scene and technically hes not really saving her more likeing helping.
I LOVE ALL THE ACTORS!!! THEYRE BEYOND PERFECT FOR THEIR ROLES...I TOTALLY WANT ROB.
Wow what a boring interview. They still could have had edward rescue her again. Her passing out and fainting is a big part of how she is. Jeez, STICK TO BOOK
I'm sure she did a GREAT job with this screenplay and after that 'get in the car' bit from yesterday's tv spot, I'm sure anyone know that she's great at what she does for a living and that if there was someone worried and skeptic because she wrote also the screenplay for 'Step up' (that I liked, anyway) will agree to the fact that we wouldn't have had Edward getting out of the car all ready to bite if it wasn't for her, so..I'm betting on Melissa.
I totally agree with Melissa about the whole fans only wanting to see what their interpretation of Twilight is. Im just so appreciative that someone has transformed this great book into film, even if it is different, its still the same storyline, with great actors playing these amazing characters and new things might be awesome! Im super excited!!
Thank you kristyv88. Come on guys didn't you listen to the interview? They didn't just cut the scene willy nilly. There was a lot of thought put into it. They can't put everything into the movie It's a LONG book. They've done their best. They've made the book that we dream about into a movie. We should be grateful. I know I am! And hey, if you really feel that it's going to be bad or they didn't do a good job then just don't see the movie so you can keep your own images =) Let's be nice though
aww man... i was looking forward to the blood typing scene... but i had a feeling it would be one of the scenes cut. i mean you can't put everything in and that's a pretty easy one to write out... oh well, i'm still gonna love this movie. i don't even care if it sucks, i've made up my mind to love it...
im so sad that blood typing isn't in the movie, its probably my favorite chapter (well besides port angeles) but i had a feeling they would cut it : (
She brings across a lot of valid points. Its true that no matter what, us fans have to try and appreciate the movie as well as it will give new and different perspectives etc.
I will miss the blood typing scene but im sure there is lots of other good things in the movie, as she pointed out herself. I have great faith in this movie in every essence :)
HOLY CRAP! I sent in a question that said, "Is there any pressure from writing a script for a movie adaption of a book that has a huge fan base?" I think she answered it at 2:15!!!
