dude i am an full metal alchemist and i can do transmutations with no transmutation circules its easy with my iron arm and leg i sacrificed them the arm for my brothers soul and the leg for my moms life

uhh actually the very first circle shown is a diagram commonly used to differentiate between the 4 "primal elements" i dont really know what theyre called, but the diagram differentiates between erth fire water nd wind. The diamond goes north = fire, south = water, east = earth and west= wind. The square depicts the qualities -- hot dry cold and wet. It's not an actual alchemic circle that REAL alchemists used, just a tool

in order to acheive transmutation of one element to another you have to fuse essence with energy and presure in a closed enviroment and be prepared for any kind of change be it good or bad, this is why it is forbidden because it 's unpredictable and extremely dangerous not even depending on what element you are trying to transmute into another.i'm not talking about the fullmetal series either,true alchemy and equivalent exchange are true,yet not beyond our reach.
