@PoliticoELGamer If you refer to the "NEW INFORMATION" message showed on each MFCD, an option appears on OSB 11 called "ACK" or acknowledge, push the adjacent OSB to clear this, this applies to all messages. By the way, the information this refers to is stored on the message page in the MFCD, by default available on the right MFCD under "MSG". Hope this helps.
Okay, that was cool, I am relatively new to the game, but I'd like to know, how did you enabled night-vision? Nd what does mean all that stuff they were saying?
@1ablefalcon Type 2 CAS is when the JTAC is controlling the attack of visual targets but may not necessarily be able to see the target, attacking aircraft or both.
@brattness As far as I know it is possible. Along with other players playing DCS: Black Shark and Lock On too. It's just mix of these 3 games, so there are many different planes in effect. But I'm not 100% sure.
Question? When JTAC use IR-pointer as a pointer instead of laser (as I saw it), do you turn the laser designator on (saw the L on the TGP), or can you only use the LLS/LST tracker, without the laser on as a designator to localise the targetpoint?
@jerry015 Dependds on the comms setup of the JTAC, as defined in the mission editor. In this case, I set the JTAC to communicate on VHF 35.00mhz FM, so I tuned my FM radio to that frequency. The radios are pretty simple once you learn how to use them. It helps to write frequencies down on a notepad if you're playing the campaign missions.
@jerry015 The slew controls the TAD cursor when you set the TAD to sensor of interest. I was looking at grid refs to the waypoints and eventually hooking the mark sent from the JTAC in order to slew the TGP to it.
The JTAC's 9-line he's dropping for the pilot made me chuckle...the next time I drop a 9-line I'm going to do it in a robot voice.

god If they could integrate something like this into ARMA 3 I think it would just about be the best game capable of existing.

After you receive an IP Inbound and Wilco it, how do you get the Message alert to go away?

ExcessiveHeadspace 8 months ago
@ExcessiveHeadspace And what is type 1?
1ablefalcon 8 months ago
@1ablefalcon 1) JTAC controller required to see aircraft and target due to close proximity troops who would otherwise be endangered
2) Already explained
3)Used when there is little to no risk of friendly fire, unrestrictive regarding the JTAC controller's situational awareness

How do you know which side of the IR line to shoot? I know one side has the box but where did that come from?
m1ndfr34k117 10 months ago
@m1ndfr34k117 You get that box from the JTAC, there are guides on it on the official forum. But you use the TAD and mark the incoming location.

Can you target the Jdams using GPS coordinates?
chrisakky 1 year ago
I've been trying out some JTAC enabled missions - care to tell me how you set a JTAC assigned target as SPI?
kaih8941 1 year ago
Would you mind doing one on the CDU? The built in training doesn't really go into it, and the flight manual is sort of hard to retain.
636Castle 1 year ago
that - was seriously cool. Keep making these videos, and especially with this quality.

nicely done! Ill get there eventually with good vids like this.

do you have to adjust the VHF or UHF to contact JTAC or is it setup already in the mission.
