  • Jim Carrey as Andy Kaufman doing Foreign Man while impersonating Elvis. And the guy from The Artist is going to win Oscar this year. This performance is one of the greatest of all time.

  • F*** the academy, talent-less F***s !!

  • He should have been at least nominated for an Oscar.

  • Jim Carrey's first appearance on television ever was doing a very similar act on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson is 1983

  • tenk yu beri match!

  • 4:30 whats that song ?

  • alguem me dá esse filme por fa vor

  • - What's the story with this guy?..

    - I think he's from Lithuania... :D

  • This is great!

  • Brilliant the whole movie

  • Comment removed

  • this is by far jim carrey at his best, he's being comical yet at the same time and amazing performance acting wise

  • The song from ELVIS PRESLEY...is....?

  • One of my favourite actors in one of my favourite movies.

  • great movie

  • "Man on the Moon" was not a good representation of the actual person, or situations. They tried to make it so obvious, that the magic of detail was lost. AK knew his art. Check it out for yourself, you will see. It's almost like re-painting a Picasso for a modern day audience.

  • @ulikecandido this isnt a mob movie

  • guitar is behind him. i guess he put it down real quick

  • I can feel the awkward in the air.

  • an amazing film and probably this is the best part of it

  • 2:14 Bryan Abou Chacra is immortal

  • 3:48 guitar disappears

  • It's incredible how well Jim seemed to capture Andy's essence in this movie. I get goosebumpy and all choked up whenever I watch this movie.

  • Jim Carrey and Andy Kaufman were both comic Genius' this sceen show both are true! This really happened and it was priceless!!! Flip the script on them, now a days he wud of been booed off stage before the good part!! Elvis is in the building!!!

  • thank yoou vetty much

  • I'm from a small island in the Kaspian sea..... it sunk !

  • did the oscar to Jim for this movie get lost?? :S

  • @agent254422 Yeah, it got lost in the same place where his Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine Oscars went.

  • Actually I belive that Jim Carrey is one of the best actors and comedians in the world! If not he's the best.

  • ,,,fantastic....!!!!!!!!!!

  • He really is a remarkable actor...

  • Her cooking is so bad, it's terrible!

  • Wonderfully impressive movie. Jim Carrey was brilliant as Andy Kaufman. When it comes to put Carrey's best films (in acting department) my vote authomatically goes to Man On The Moon and The Truman Show. He deserved the Oscar or at least being nominated for this award. Courtney Love was great too - very underrated as an actress.

  • what's the song they play before he starts to imitate elvis? It's a symphonic... and it's used in many other movies and tv shows as a "discovery theme or something" please help

  • @Jledez it's the first few minutes of Also Sprach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss. It's famous because it was used in 2001 when the apes find the monolith.

  • @JammastaJ23 Thanks bro... Really. I've looking for that song for years... literally.

  • This was a great film. Jim Carry did an eerily amazing proformance.

  • @jaradreath seach jim carrey standup he used to do elvis and lots of other impressions before he got famous

  • @UniteForgetLeftRight Oh, I know that, I meant his proformance as Andy. Sorry, sould have specified, my bad.

  • ...Thank you very much.

  • how did jim carrey open his eyes completely while having his eyebrows down like that...

  • @Murrdock71 Noooo, it´s not. It´s "also spracht zarathustra". Ok?

  • Real Andy was a better dancer

  • Whats the name of the song at 2:48 ?

  • Truly only the best can Preform This. He is an amazing Impersonation of andy and i hope nobody forgets his briliance. He was a great impressionist and one of the most amazing comedians of all time. Thumbs up if you agree:) THANK YOU VERY MUCH Lol

  • @jeff3145 its true and jim carrey started out like andy stand up and live comedy shoulds living color snl

  • hhahhhhah

  • YouTube should include awesome button under videos like that! LOL

  • lol lithuania xD

  • Why no embedding allowed? :(

  • @saveoursoulissa Try now. :)

  • @diazzz Thank you! :)

  • Jesus... the thing about Kaufman is he doesn't just fuck with convention - he completely fucks with everyone around him too. It's a weird see-saw of emotional states and confusion that just leaves you totally unsure of where you stand. It seems he is aware of the tipping point of awkwardness to some virtuoso degree. I think this may be some of the most progressive stuff I have ever seen.

  • "tank you very much"

  • @KayPerestrello THAAAAAAAAAANK YOU! I hate when people put him down because all his roles are the same, or he's not a serious actor, and Obviously they don't look at his movies enough because he has PLENTY of amazing roles and he does a fantasic job at all of them.

  • i don't know why people bashed the majestic? i thought carrey's got the gif for drama. althought the idea of him as a serious actor took time to get used to, he proved to us he's got what it take.

  • @predlycon I completely agree with you(:

  • Sayid liked it

  • "thank u viry much"

  • "....I think he's from Lithuania.."

    Greetings! :D

  • it's bs that jim carrey has never received an oscar nom, i really can't believe it...he should have multiple nominations IMO

  • jesus this came out in 99 man i feel old

  • Does anyone knows the title of this Elvis' song? Thanks in advance!

  • blue suede shoes

  • @KingGhidorah1950 Thanks a lot!

  • @angelmtza Blue Suede Shoes.

  • @angelmtza blue swuade shoes? dunno the correct spelling

  • Love this song !!! :)

  • Whats the story with this guy ? - I think hes from Lithuania !! :DDD its my contry ;)

  • He did a very good job as Andy Kaufman

  • Where the fuck did his guitar go?

  • Andy Kaufman actually does a way better version of Elvis. But this is great impersonation of Andy Kaufman doing Elvis

  • His poor wife :(

  • Holy shit, after watching saturday night live,he does a perfect immitation of andy kaufman and his weird voice and nervous glance.

  • whats the name of the song when he imitates elvis

  • @dc3ac blue suede shoes?

  • The audience's reaction is perfect throughout.

  • Serious? Serious?!

  • Sunday May 16th 2010

  • incredibly funny

    great movie

  • forward years later..Jim Carrey biographic movie on Kaufman

  • God I love this movie, JimCarreys Best work, Easily!

  • hahahah thx for the video

  • HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY!!!!!!!!!

  • I FROM LITHUANIA

    LIETUVA VALDOOO :D

  • @vladasFK where is that?

  • Is that true, that americans have no idea what, and where Lithuania is? :D

  • I dunno where Lithuania is and I come from Latvia

  • do you speak english? write normaly please

  • lithuania? hmm i used to date her i think :D

  • Jim Carrey did a good job with this character, but it came off kind of scary. When Andy did it, it seemed cute because of his natural boyish charm. But when Carry did it he seemed like he was trying to hard to imitate Andy.

I personally think that Edward Norton would have done a better job in this role.

  • great movie, but Andy's version is way better.

  • Well of course; He spent a year being so obsessive & studied him for goodness sake. Andy was the man, is the man, always the man

  • @dancecaptainsam obviously the original is better than the copy

  • @dancecaptainsam for me Jim is so much better!!! And he do Elvis better....

  • i adore this movie !!

  • this guy is very funny

  • every time I laugh crying when I see it

  • what's the name of the song that starts at 3:50

  • blue suede shoes

  • Thanks

  • the King!!

  • JIm Carey as Andy Kaufman as Elvis Presley

  • @Joujojus Jim Carrey as Andy Kaufman as Foreign Man as Elvis Presley.

  • @Joujojus haha thats what I typed to search for this

  • @Joujojus lol

  • I love this film 5 S T A R S for video

  • i think jim carrey did a much better job than andy

  • then you are an idiot

  • does someone knows the name of the song just before the elvis imitation (while he puts the dress)?

  • The name of the song you´re asking about is Also spracht Zarathustra

  • thanks a lot

  • best movie!

  • man jims funny

  • tenk u veddy much

  • That was genius

  • As you all know, I'm not one to indulge in hyperbole. But this was extraordinarily good.

  • lotka was one funny man when he was alive

  • first song is blue suede shoes..

does any one know the second one?

  • La meilleure interprétation de Jim, la séquence résume tout le film, imprévisible et ou on ne l'attend pas.

  • its a true story?

  • yes it is

  • yeah

  • i think so

  • the story wasn't really that funny when it comes in the end. Its a very sad and touching story . i kinda teared in the end. Dam! why Jim Why!

  • @alecson95 wat happened

  • try watching it. its not really funny for me... its humorous a bit

  • what do you mean why jim why he does kaufman very well

  • haha hes fukin hilarius in this fil , nearly as funny as dumb and dumber, he acts like a fuken tool lol in this , ha freak

  • whats the name of that theme song when he starts to do the elvis impression?

  • LOL if anyone else is wondering i figured it out. Its "Also Sprach Zarathustra" by Richard Strauss.

  • Also sprach Zarathustra, Op. 30 by Richard Strauss.

  • not sure what its called but it sumtimes plays in the beging of the elvis song "c c rider" u can look it up here on youtube

  • Also sprach zarathustra

  • Jim Carrey is completely underrated as an actor.

  • How so?

  • Wolf, because everyone concentrates on his roles in Ace Ventura, The Mask, Liar Liar, Me Myself and Irene, and so on. They judge him primarily based on those instead of realizing how much potential he actually has. Take Man on the Moon or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, for instance. He's very talented.

  • I agree. He is underrated by the people who rate shit. But we know he is brilliant. And maybe he was just unlucky because in 1999 there were a lot of great movies and actors in it. So maybe he is not underrated... was he nominated in any of the more serious movies?

  • I mean he's not as recognized as he should be for being as well-rounded of an actor as he is. He's known for his goofy roles. Yes, he won a Best Actor Golden Globe for this movie. I think he should've gotten one for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or The Truman Show, but he didn't.

  • @KayPerestrello sorry to burst your bubble, but he did win for the truman show

  • @QuiteHotBros That doesn't burst my bubble, that makes me happy! I didn't know that, thank you. I stand corrected. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is one of my favorite movies, I was shocked he didn't get one for that movie.. But The Truman Show, that was well deserved.

  • @KayPerestrello An audiences admiration is a greater accolade than some fuckin trophy or statuette .Oscars or whatever are all political and reliant on studio influence and commercial success.Pure populist bullshit.

  • @clawlesslawless I very much agree with you... but the fact that such a thing exists makes me question why he's unrecognized by it.

  • @KayPerestrello Great Performances are not recognised because the criteria is bullshit.its not just based on merit alone.its based on publicity and to a lesser degree acting ability.if the academy awards endorse unknown films or performances people wouldnt feel they are as relevant.they award films that people like so ,they can remain relevant .

  • @clawlesslawless Absolutely. It's very unfortunate.

  • @KayPerestrello i think he should've got an oscar or at least nominated.

  • @WayTooDazedConfus3d Definitely. And I actually stand corrected about the Truman Show, he did get an award. But my point still stands that he's unrecognized as one of the better all around actors there are out there.

  • @KayPerestrello he won one for the truman show

  • @34HourzDAiLYmedia Ya that's been corrected like two comments ago.

  • @KayPerestrello and what about The Truman Show? or also Number 23, very particular films

  • @Scadugengan Yes, good examples. I think he's great.

  • no.......no, i am only fooling lol

  • legend!

  • the one and only

  • do you realize this is Jim Carrey impersonating Andy Kaufman when Andy used to play his "foreigner" character, and this character used to impersonate other people.... so.. its Jim Carrey playing Andy, playing the foreigner, playing Jimmy Carter, Elvis, etc.

  • Surrealism

  • META

  • thank you very much :D

  • amazing movie. jim deserved an oscar for this great performance.

  • ... Its dangerous to mix Life and TV show. TV is often confusion, balance between reality and fantasy, between business, the record, and shows. A little 'how life .. Wow ! A complaint against television. Andy Kaufman, comedian rupture, perhaps brilliant, perhaps stupid, maybe with, maybe charlatan. Passed the reading and imitation of Elvis in full, before an audience literally sleeping in The Great Gatsby Fitzerald.

  • Carrey's Elvis isn't anywhere near Kaufman's.

  • @HienoKaveri

I agree. While I think Jim is marvelous in the role of Andy Kaufman, Andy's impression was dynamic. One thing I missed and seem to remember was that Andy used to play with the pelvic thrust to tease the ladies - not in a grinding stripper way. It was more subtle, which made it all the funnier. "Did he just pelvic thrust me girlfriend?" kind of thing.

  • jim carrey = THE KING

  • where can i find the full thing?

  • its a movie and u can get it i think anywhere...got some nudity in it tho i saw it.

  • "i think he's from lithuania" o joo :D gera varda turim..

  • i love their expressions they just dont know what to think

  • I really liked this film! Especially Carrey's portrayal. His best role in my opinion!

  • The Academy Award people are too snobby to realize what an amazing actor Jim Carrey is.

  • agreed totaly

  • Andy Kaufman is the single funniest comedian of all time . if you disagree well.... you can fucking die i hope you get crabs and die
