It would be hard to pick a better pair than the two songs you mentioned, even though there are so many great tracks on this album. Those two just seem to capture the magic of the band and their way to define time, whether distant or not.
Hmmm . So this whole song is about the Regan era? Glad someone made one about that weird legacy. Kinda cleanses the palate after the last few years of Regan-worshiping by one of those two retarded parties.
Actually, they made fun of the crazies who were overtly anti- establishment as much as they celebrated them. Listen to their whole body of work. These guys aren't total leftist losers by any means!
Hey Nukem, no need to do When I Win The Lottery. I just found an easy way to get the song on with an image. Of course we could use one with a video. Friends anyway?
@mauricemorning - Thanks for reminding me! I had Jack Ruby done, it gave me trouble when I tried to upload it though. Slipped my mind after that night though (sorry Runcible). Trying again now. Some will be simple, some will have more effort, it varies for me. Thanks for Lottery!
It's most important that the music is available--the video is a plus, and nobody has enough time or energy to produce endless numbers of profound movies, no matter how inspired or creative. This is a not-so-subtle hint for you to do more. Particularly, I need "When I Win The Lottery" from the studio album. I would do it but don't have the ability. You have a nice channel. Friends? Thank you for your efforts. I will be saving some of your uploads to my favorites and playlists.
McDonell Douglas olive drab. This song and album makes me wonder, why is so much emphasis put on rhyming to make for "proper" songwriting? Some of my favorite songs, like this, have little or no rhyming.
This tune is awesome!...The arrangement is so cool. It is layered with instruments. If you just want to listen to any single instrument during this song...you'll be happy with it. There is even a great steel guitar working there. I wish bands still worked on the arranrements, and made songs transitional like older bands did. These songs getting out to the public these days would never leave the cuting room back then.(way to simple)
very underrated but VERY influential band
