  • it doesn't matter what gear u r using the important thing is making results

a lot of ppl have expansive gear but they deserve like what he got over there ^

  • The aperture on my camera only goes up to like 6.5. Is that alright or can i change it?

  • Nice job; and you make it look so easy. Thanks

    b/b)O(

  • Hi Santosh,

Thanks for sharing this wonderful technique. Helpful for amateurs like us who would try to work on low budget yet accomplish creativity.

Appretiate your valuable time whic h you dedicated to the fellow photographers!

    Cheers

  • thanks for this....wouldnt it also be easier to use a burst shot, making it easier to get the perfect shot?

  • I would watch out for flare coming from those bare bulbs. I've managed to get some nice shots of water droplets but I used 1 off camera flash with a black cardboard snoot on it, so it would only fire light onto the drops. You could do the same thing with some random dark material laying around if you want to use those lamps.

  • good job

  • /watch?v=kBtOY2y1_7s&feature=channel_video_title

What do you guys think of my photos?

  • Thanks Buddy for this post. I sure did learn a thing or two from here. And please don't bother what some freaks might say. Your work is appreciated.

  • Thanks for taking the time to show and try to teach. Don't worry about what others may say. These techniques are everywhere and don't belong to anyone in particular. If you have the passion for your craft and wan to share it, go for it!

    Thanks again.

  • Wow, cool, thank you......

  • Who cares who came up with the idea of taking photos ... This guy has given me inspiration to try this and while I don't think mine will be as good as his I will try to emulate.

sansundon Thanks for the tutorial, thanks for the inspiration.

    AND your flickr rocks!

  • I cant understand even you didn't show your final result....!!!

  • Gavins videos are great but I don't think he was the first to photograph water droplets. Give this guy a break

  • How did he copy Gavin Hoey? This is how you take bloody water droplet pictures for goodness sake.

  • Where is the final result- pictures????

  • @RrahimStruja maybe if you read the video description, you'd see it.

  • @yanaburr My bad, good looking picture :)

  • you copied Gavin Hoey

  • I can't understandings yous

  • doesnt that catch the side of the container??

  • thanks mate will try it out on the weekend

  • I think disk lamps is better for lightning.

  • These tips have been going around forever. If he wants to help others why does it bother you. It's a free country

  • @Mrose13006 @topic agree yeaa now kill that bitch

  • NIce Job.

  • Thank you!

  • ol buddy bout to set the house on fire

  • Good One. The best part is that you used normal lighting and tools which are easily available in any home. Gavin has used a flash light and different then yours.

  • you want tosted?

  • @toxicdrumsk Hahahahhahhahaha I always think of the people at Subway who say that... "You want toasteedd"?

  • @KaReLlEsS711 hahah Exactly!

  • @KaReLlEsS711 Don't forget about: "Cheese?" (I'm thinking in my head - DID I SAY CHEESE?) I say: No, thanks.

  • i love India

  • i love india

  • @garbuja6666

i don't think i copied some one if u think it ur thinking. i dint found any body used a normal lighting with kit lens. and it think like blame me not the Indians. see the other post how other people find it as use full. i dint made this video for any money or any profit, i just thought it will be use full people like me. any how thanks for ur comments.

  • @sansundon don't worry you did a great job

  • @garbuja6666

i don't think i copied some one if u think it ur thinking. i dint found any body used a normal lighting with kit lens. and it think like blame me not the Indians. see the other post how other people find it as use full. i dint made this video for any money or any profit, i just thought it will be use full people like me. any how thanks for ur comments. And it u tell about the Indian i think India is doing great. u see nearly 30 to 36% of scientist in NASA are Indians.

  • @sansundon retard... i hope u know the "indians" you are talking about is AMERICAN indians, not stupid curry eating indians.

  • @MikeORotch69 ur a gay faggot

  • @MikeORotch69 shut the fuck up u racist bastard

  • @sansundon Yes, I have seen PhotoGalvin's YT water droplet video and it is awesome. But how many of beginners and regular people carry expensive flash guns and light meter. Thanks for makin a video with scrap material. It is end result what matters. I'm going to try it at home!

  • @garbuja6666 stfu u racist bastard, of course ur one of the asshole americans who makes fun of other cultures for no fucking reason, go the fuck back to macdonalds where fat ass americans belong

  • @garbuja6666 You're such a moron. If you think he's copying someone, you're right. Anyone who ever takes pictures of water droplets is copying someone. I know this because it's been done before, probably a long time ago. Grow up.

  • Sansudon, don't listen to the morons posting on here. This video is fine. None of us are the first to take water droplet pictures, so you can't be copying anyone. This tutorial was a good way to show how YOU did it with your equipment. I took mine in a sink with a colored bowl catching the water, and a blue background. I guess I copied someone who ever used blue as their background...or took the pictures in a sink.

  • This is great! Thanks alot for posting, I didnt realise it can be set up so simply

  • i supposed you can use burst for continuous shot so you won't have to wait for a good drop right?

  • @edl003 yeah thats what i was thinking, are there any disadvantages to shooting in continuous?

the only thing i can think of is if you wanna shoot in raw for like editing later, continuous would be pretty slow :\

  • I like your photo-stream but somehow this is oddly the same as Photogavin's video or another interpretation of it.

  • Page not found?

  • great job indain guy

  • Thank you.

  • will it work on EOS 500d ?

  • @mermerni i respect Gavin Huey, i learn from his video but i dint copy him. thanks for ur comments

  • @mermerni the videos are completely different? gavin uses a off camera flash, plus he uses a white back paper background, and gavin uses more expensive gear, this guy is trying to show people u can do the same with the kit lens

  • @mermerni who gives a shit . i dont know or care who gavin whatever is .. i found this vid as i was looking for tips .. no one has a monopoly on tutorial ideas .ya numpty.... so bcos some dude somewhere in the world makes a wee vid about water drops NO ONE ELSE IS ALLOWED TO DO IT ??? Thats what u are saying isnt it .? ffs ..you think this gavin character ''INVENTED'' THE WATER DROP SHOT ..!!! man u ought to get out more ..its a BIG WORLD..

  • @mermerni Are you fucking serious? Did Gavin Huey invent water droplet photography? I doubt it. Are you really complaining because this guy used a pen to focus? Do the world a favor an kill yourself dick face.

  • @mermerni LOL, you have no fucking knowledge.. Gavin also copied someone else. droplet photos has been there forever.

  • i hope you do realize all those extra lamps were basically useless. all you exposure came from the camera flash, the lamps did next to nothing. if i were to do this, i'd use just one lamp so i can focus my camera on the pen. once focused, switch off the lamp and just click with your flash on.

  • thank you so much for this!! I'm going to try it out :)

  • If you use a remote, the pic wilbe much sharper

  • i'd rather shoot naked chicks

  • thank you man:D it realy helped

  • nice video :) thanks for posting it, it really helps:D

  • [Apu mode on] Thank you, come again [/apu mode off] hehe

  • Cool. I have to try this out sometime.

  • This works great with a 450D. Thanks!

  • thank you brother

but if you use the continuous mode with stronger light you will get like 3 pics for each water drop then chose the one with better result :)

  • Great... you got some good pictures with basic household appliances... very creative !!

  • does anyone have the link for his flickr ?

  • Thanks for the video :)

  • thank you bro

  • would it work on Canon 350D??

  • @nina82 sure y not it will work i even tried in canon G9.

  • @sansundon

    Thanks for sharing

Please would it work on Nikon D5000 ?

    Thanks

  • Былоб не плохо чтоб результаты работы ещё прикрепить к видео

  • OMG... I never knew one had to go through so much just to take one picture. O.O

  • please come again

  • pls. set the camcorder to manual exposure.

  • Thanks for sharing..

  • You should check out his Flickr, he has some pretty good photos I must say

  • @GinoAlkotub how

  • @MTBiker152 info box, there's a link

  • Sod that, I use a canon system with the new pocket wizards and sync at 1/4000 of a second with the high speed sync and get TTL flash

  • You don´t have to put 1/4000, u do just the same a 1/250 just because what is stopping the action isn´t he shutter speed , but yes when the flash goes off. put at 1/4000 has one downside that is the loss of power.

  • but a flash is nothing but a burn of light down the flash tube which starts and ends with the shutter open, so a faster shutter speed in the middle of the burn would give you a more sharper image on something moving, loss of power would not be a problem on something close, i have synced at 1/8000 taking portraits to darken the background

  • it is a water drop... i guaranty to you that you wont see a difference if you use 1/250 or 1/8000...

Shutter speed works in a different way when using flash to sync...

  • great video, many thanks for sharing. What I like best about it, is these are things most of us can use without having to buy expensive lighting equipment etc. well done, thanks again.

  • your accent is very Funny. Quiet hard Stuff have to do, for a Picture of a Waterdrop. Wow.

  • Flash sync speed on a Nikon D40 wich is the cheapest Nikon is 1/500.

I was surprised to see that you only went to 1/250.

  • Dude this is soooo bad, The light is shining into the video camera the whole time, and I am realy nervous about the micro wave, Light bulbs, shaky camera and WATER!!

  • Thanks for tips !

  • great job dear!!!!

  • How come you didn't put up the pictures you took so we can see how they came out?

  • Here is a tip for you... If you enable "Mirror Lockup" you'll be able to get better results quicker... With the mirror lockup enabled, you press the shutter button to lock the mirror up and then wait for the perfect waterdrop and then press the shutter button again to take the picture. This method is to prevent shutter lag, because when you press the button, the mirror has to fly up so the shutter can open, when the mirror lockup is on, you can directly work with the shutter...

  • thanks for ur tips, so this will help me as well as other.

  • The only 2 problems with mirror lockup are, first you have to press the button twice, one to lock the mirror, and again to take the picture. The second, more noticable problem is that when the mirror is locked up, you will not be able to look through the viewfinder since it is blocked by the mirror...

  • Thanks that was awesome. Camera was a bit shaky but that doesn't matter, as it was a great demonstration. Can't wait to try it!

  • That was a very well done video. Thank you.
