  • The Doors after Jim Morrison are still a great rock/jazz band..the only problem is that I am not into rock /jazz fussion....without Jim they just sound different.

  • It was definitely worth a listen, but the door without Jim just isn't right.

  • Thank you for sharing

  • I actually appreciate the lo-fi sound to this recording. It's nostalgic.

  • The post Morrison Doors are interesting trivia...and that's about it.

  • I can see why they booted this off the album, its sounds like a Partridge Family song. Even Krieger had said they removed it because it sounded too "commercial."

The trio are definitely talented, no doubt about it. But its not the same band as it was with Jim, they shouldn't of even called themselves the Doors, and to name their first album without him "Other Voices" is a real slap in the face. I always got the impression that they envied the spotlight on Jim.

  • @SlasherIndex I disagree. Not say there is not some truth to what you say. I think they were to a degree frustrated with his wild antics and unpredictability. They all kind of seemed liked brothers, and I think it was mutual, even with Jim.

  • I love it :D the sound quality aint that bad dude thank you for posting :)

  • something other than good

  • sounds like the blueprint for every Fleetwood Mac song

  • it's just not the same sure the rest of the guys have as much talent as Jim,But with his vocals up front they just sound like a jazz band i love Ray,Robby, and John. it's just not the same. But they're still the doors!

  • I still can't understand their GIANT style change

  • wow did Ray make this suck on purpose? i think he did. denesmore was a dick and Ray wanted O U T... lmao!!!! JDM i rule you baby

  • this should have been on the "Full Circle" album- much better than "Verdilac"!

  • Why would people complain about the sound quality of this song? Its 40 years old and the info says its from a cassette player. Get a grip all you complainers...

Thanks for uploading this song :) The doors for ever.

  • No way they enjoyed making this album.

My spirit would be crushed after a loss like that.

  • cool song, they have a great sound but without Morrison no is the doors, the name is the same but he mistyc never , never is the same, Ray is great musician maybe the best in the keyboard and robbie too in the guitar but Morrison no is there .....great video man!

  • That was pretty bad. Theree must have been contractual reasons to bring that into the world. I hear so many songs (made either before or after this) that it's like hearing 2 songs playing at the same time.

  • where can i downloed

  • shame, just very slow background music that you could either fall asleep to, or get depressed very quickly too, and i did and still do love the doors, but...

  • i'm proud to say that full circle is my favorite doors album. no joke it is.

also like ray's great solo albums.

    robbys solo albums

    the butts band albums

    nite city albums

    other voices

and the two phantoms divine comedy albums. it's all good stuff that every diehard fan should hear.

  • the only problem i have is the name they should of changed the name coz the doors died when jim died .i have 2 albums released without jim other voices and full cirle and i liek them but like i said before they should of changed the name other than that great

  • Post Morrsion albums are very good, they need to be released in America, no Jim, but still great musicianship and the songs arent too bad either, people just expect it should be the old Doors sound and reject it, I reject that shallow type of people

  • It almost seems to me that The Doors let them selves go after Jim died, like stopped getting haircuts and shaving.

  • That was the look in the early 70's, the beards, facial hair etc. Look at the Byrds, Jerry Garcia, Beatles etc, clean cut in the 60's but by 1969 facial hair.

  • Yeah haha you're right.

  • cool song!!

  • other vocies was a great doors abulm full circle sucked but the cover was good

  • yeah it was their best album cover besides Strange Days IMO. I have the vinyl hanging on my wall!

  • horrible sound quality

  • yeap, this is the only doors' song never been avaible on CD. Other Voices and Full Circle are in bootlegs CDs in good quality, so this is like a "hidden track".

  • @Mae77

what did holzman acuse them off???cocktail music....this is cocktail music^^

  • @huntAblunt Rothchild/cocktail music/L.A. Woman

  • @082207 If you're still interested, I uploaded a high-quality version of this song. Check it out.

  • Idk, after Jim's death, the Doors really became (blech) mainstream rock

  • the doors are such a space-age old timey saloon house band

  • hey pearljammer07, does it say when the post morrison albums are going to be released (if they are ever released) and will they include bonus tracks - i.e. "tree trunk" & any outtakes/rarities from that era. plus the doors should release "the lost paris tapes" & re-release "an american prayer" without "roadhouse blues" & the short version of "the ghost song".

  • to be honest you're not missing much with the lost Paris Tapes, but i think Other Voices and Full Circle should be released

  • This song is terrible! Cliche. It makes me doubt what kind of ear the doors outside of Jim had. This is not even remotely credible.

  • I prefer the music they did for An American Prayer, but I'm sure others would differ in that opinion.

  • Elecktra needs to release this song a B-sides Doors album or something. Surprised it wasn't included in the Perception box set.

  • You'll never hear ANY of the post-Morrison tracks on an official CD release, unfortunately.

Look at "The Complete Studio Albums" set - it skips Full Circle and Other Voices!! Complete??

  • Actually there are plans to release post-Morrison albums on CD. If you check the Doors official forum you will find the info you need there to back up my comment here.

  • its midssing the blues!!!!!!

  • That was really cool...I've heard some of the post-Morrison Doors music and while it's not the same, it is underrated.

  • Actually I didn't get my sound recording from the camera. I knew this would be bad sounding, hence ConkerTheBadger's bad video. I already "Treetrunk" on file so I filmed the vinyl spinning round and dubbed the sound over.

  • thanks for the info my friend. *fixed*.

  • Hey man, keep up uploading these great things that you find from Doors, it very rear, and great to hear how they played, of course ,no Morrison, no Doors, but still cool to hear.

  • thnaks for the post. I recently purchased a copy of this. I was disappointed that I didn't get the sleeve. They should have put this on the album, it's got a great groove, a lot like the Greatful Dead.

  • too cool!!! :)

    thanks!! <3
