I mean the picture at 0:12- shows us a very cute picture of her even though she's only a toddler. I think it's sad they didn't have a strong relationship till later in life. Her daughter was born with what is known as Mental Retardation. She had multiple birth defects. She was raised in a special school according to one biographer. We cannot choose who we look like. Only God knows why this dear child had defects, however, she looks as though she has a lovely disposition and her beauty glows from deep within her soul. It must not have been easy having a mother who was so devoted to the stage. God bless all of them.

She was born in india and when Gertrude, her mother, was pregnant with her the indians told her that if you look at the himilayas every day the beauty would pass on to the baby...She did just that. She would look 15 min. every day, it obviously worked! Suzanne did not inherit Viviens beauty, but she is small like Vivien. But I think the reason for her plainess is her father, who wasn't attractive at all, in my opinion...

When Suzanne was little, Vivien didn't pay that much attention to her, but when Suzanne grew up, Vivien became closer with her and developed a mother/daughter relationship.....
Personally, I think she refused maybe because she was getting old and it would have been hard to have a baby...She was 45 at the time...I also wonder what the real reason is....
