I took 27 shot with one camera and 30 with another to get stills. All with my little Canon Elf. I was very surprised when they turned out so good. Great evening under the stars.
Uhh hate to inform you, but the eclipse was due to that malfunctioning satellite getting in the way of the sunlight from the sun and it blocked the light rays coming off the moon. The moon is a safe place for cheese sandwiches.
Here in Dallas it was almost impossible to see. There was soooooooo much fog. We had to rely on the news to see it because they were showing the video feed from New York; where it was easy to see it. Thanks for uploading though :D
Good work. Thanks for sharing. "Definitely in the Creation of the Heavens and the earth, and in the alteration of Night and Day are Signs for people who have access to information and also have Understanding." -Quran.
I watched the eclipse too -- from beginning to end. It was sooooo incredibly celestial. Thanks for actually recording it to share it with others that were not so fortunate to see it live.
its actualy last one till 2015 in central europe, atleast you had a sight on it. It was buetifuly sunny for 2 weeks and the day the eclipse comes it starts to rain :( Now a 2 days later its sunny again. I feel teeeeeeesed.
Awesome! I went to tape my view of the eclipse, and nothing showed up in the camera... I was all disappointed for at least an hour, then I found out the lens cap was on. I am a total idiot! :)
Luckily we had a totally clear sky here in Boston and I got a great view of the eclipse. I kept wishing I had a super-duper telescopic zoom lens to grab some photos.
What's really awesome was that we were at a friend's house when I taped this, and my friend's dad came by and he had an *awesome* telescope. Was able to see (post-eclipse) incredible detail on the moon, as well as Saturn (including the rings)...
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. it's so bright, it blinded my eyes, all your fault

Thanks for posting this. I missed the eclipse yesterday. It was too cold outside to stand out and watch the eclipse for very long. :(
Looks like it was a beautiful sight to see.

Booo, too cold?! Come on, I've heard better excuses than that. =p
thedarkener 3 years ago
i missed that yesterday cause it was 2 cloudy..... :(
heather65896 3 years ago
I caught the lunar eclipse...it was colder than hell, BUT it was cold because it was clear. An awesome sight!
Oh well...now, what to do until another one, in three years....hmmmm.... :P
Journeys2008 3 years ago
was that moving in real time? THe light on the moon seems to be moving really quickly
Drewboy64 3 years ago
No - the eclipse took something like 3 1/2 hours total. You have to speed it up or the video will be VERY boring. ;)
