gameplay seems good, althou graphics seems very outdated in comparison to what is tekken...and we must admit...if you want a serius fighting game, Tekken 6 is still a very awsome fighting game.

Virtua Fighter 5 came out in 2008, of course it will have a "dated" look to it. FS is justy prertty much an extension of VF5. Besides good graphics are good but not everything, i would rather have things like good gameplay and fight mechanics and good character design and development over graphics, even good music. Tekken is awesome though, i love both Tekken and Virtua Figher. Just love fighting games in gerneral actually.

I love it that both Virtua fighter and tekken exist. If you're a true fan of these kinds of games, you know you'd die if one of them went away forever. Both of them use realistic motion capture, but i can still say that they both play different. Like for example, tekken is the only fighting game that uses 4 buttons to convey the control of the 4 limbs in the body. No strong punch, left means left punch, right means right punch and so on. There is no fighting game out there that does that

never got a chance to play VF was always with TK since TK2.

@Gilvader210 lol thats how i was with vf3 and tekken 4. i actually love how not flashy vf is. I love the mode of vf where you just fight forever and work on getting promotions. tekken 6 tried it but fucked up when they made it to where you cant rank up unless your online, so then you gotta deal with all that. no thanks, just give me vf5 final showdown and ill be happy for awhile.

@KungFuChess and so is tekken...tekken use real martial art moves too...if they can make a gameplay for tekken n street fighters..they can do it for virtua fighter also..i mean i like dat way tekken character die or fallout or watever u wanna call it wen u K.O them..the way it is on vf is kinda lame but da game is good...i think it can be done...a VF vs TK and a TK vs VF....just how they gonna do sf vs t and t vs sf

hmm after playing vf5 i can say that some characters got new combos, and is it just me or does aoi's kcik animation at 1:19 look different than vf5, like the kicking angle or something

I hate this....not the game, but the fact that it's trying to appear more flashy for those graphic mongrels of gaming....I know, more people means becoming more popular, but not alot of them are worth playing against online. Any REAL fighting gamer would pick it up just to experience and actually TRY to become more than a novice at it. I'm not some freakin' kid that needs something bright and flashy to get into it! Ah whatever....getting it anyway, it's fun, it's nostalgic, even complex...

@Glacier2030 i don't know how i got into the vf series lol. seriously i just watched some martial arts movies and decided to buy a fighting game for ps2. just happened to have a used vf4 evo in my local store so i bought it and started playing. Been almost 2 years and now i am like an amateur on vf5. Really fun game

@go555ace Eh, don't mind me...I have to admit, even I felt like an ametuer playing it for the first time. o3o But I bet you know more than using Pai's Cartwheel move non-stop for 7 fights in a row. Strangely enough I have it for Sega Genesis...VF2, and the one for Sega Saturn, especially the VF Mix game, with playable characters from Crimson Viper(I think). Props to you, definitely. And yeah, it's fun. Still, I like evo a little more because of the tutorial.
