  • You How is this Karate? Film fail.

  • This is JUST A MOVIE

  • This movie is one of the best martial art movies of all time. My top five are Ip Man, Fist of Legend, Fighter in the Wind, Ip Man 2, True Legend.

  • Jet Li is the Best

  • they both great and funny :D

  • Smith don't stand a chance.

  • me. BEST IN MATH.. hahahahahahahahahahhaa LOL.

  • @maclinomac

YOU MEAN THE WORST IN MATHS HAHAHAHA

  • God 95% of youtube is full of idiots. This is kung fu vs. Wushu(a type of kung fu)

  • @007malikai if you watch the film this clip is from you will see Jet Li is doing kung fu and the other guy is a Karate master. And strictly speaking WuShu is not a "type" of kung fu it is the generic term for Martial arts in China, although is commonly used these days in reference to the highly stylised demonstrative aspects of "kung Fu"

  • kung fu is beter

    then anything

  • in the end... all actors.

  • nice jet li :)) fcking karate..

  • dang ... love this one!

  • What movie is this?

  • the jap man is a 7th dan karate black belt,, kurata .. both have martial art masters

  • You can see clearly that the other with gray is using a Japanese style, probably Aikido, Hapkido or Karate.

  • muay tai parece pro lo menos al prinsipio

  • This was not Kung fu vs. Karate, this was Kung-fu vs Kung-fu.

  • @flashlight67 the Karate Master is intended to portray Funikochi Sensei, A master of Shotokan karate, the other is Chen sen of jing wu mon. Sorry for my bad spelling.

  • muy buena esa peli de jet li !!! karate vs kung fu...jaja anda a saber!!!

  • The top comments are somewhat right. Still, Jackie Chan and Jet Li are no fakes, they really do know MA and other styles of fighting.

  • which one is the Karate guy? :P

  • @MrPetersonic100 the old dude.

  • do bani

  • Is the other guy (not Jet Li) using karate? to me both are using with JKD ...

  • Karate is not better than Kung fu

  • @Kungfumaster27 damn right it is :)

  • @kalelarea51 yeah but he couldn't survive his own ego

  • Jet Li was using jeet kune do and chinese boxing witch is kickboxing and part of jeet kune do.

  • "Can you see?"

    "I'll manage."

"Let's make it even." what a gracious gesture! Honestly.

  • en esta pelicula perdio jet li lo dijeron al final de peli lo admitio jet li la peli es fest of legend o sino jet li es el mejor luchador

  • what i dont get is ppl watchin a bruce lee movie they finish it and then they want to be just like him so the go and learn karate thumbs up if u see wats wrong with that.

  • this not karate you dumb white fucks. this is bushidoo. if you dont know it, just keep that empty mouth shut and watch it.

  • @KatsumotoYamada Bushido? You even know what Bushido is? Karate is a Budo art, but Bushido isnt a specific martial art, everyone can follow the bushido. Saying "This is not karate, this is bushido" just proves how dumb you are in your comment.

  • @YajimaKenji

I'd say he means the "karate" master is using Koryu. as in the Koryu arts of Ju jitsu and okinawa te. which was Karate as it was trained and used pre 1920.

  • people are dumb these days you cant say an art wins because of a movie you saw or a oppinion on youtube! You have to try them out yourselves its not the martial art which makes it effective it only who your teacher is and how effective YOU are at practicing and applying the art. You cant say jeet kun do is the best art because bruce lee was the best martial artist! thats like saying its the art which makes you, and not the person anyone can practice it just noone is as good as the other person.

  • kung-fu is phénominal a best style for lyfe

  • there is no karate here

  • @DuskfallBand are you blind that place is japan and there fighting on that location japan is the home of karate O_O

  • @lightning5224 Are you serious? I meant the video. Neither of those two is doing karate.

  • @lightning5224 I hope you know Kung Fu won though -_-

  • @TheCrazyTman I know

  • what movie is this?

  • Karate yay :D

  • They part where he says "What style is that" He's doing Muay Thai

  • 0:00.5

haha his ass is almost discovered xD

  • Why can't martial arts movies like this be this awesome...........

  • judul filmnya apaan yak??

  • That was a ill fight!

  • what's the name of the movie???

  • @Tovash thanks :D

  • @tengokunoshi your welcome

  • @tengokunoshi fist of legend

  • @mkaidzadeh thanks :D

  • Oh an yip man (ip man) the movie 1 and 2 are awesome, watch them if you get a chance!

  • This movie is based on a bruce lee remake . To me its to similar to yip man who coincidently Bruce lee learned from.

Ive seen plenty of tiger kung fu and crane kung fu etc get wiped by most martial arts including karate . If you search hard enough there is a video of yip mans kung fu vs karate and its a draw. I have respect for all martial arts even if I don't always agree with there moves.

  • LUTA LINDA, O JAPONES USA MUITO DEFESAS, UCHI SOTO UQUE E SHUTO KAKE UCHI

  • Looks like a videogame

  • @criceto like street figther 1

  • is this jet lee?

  • this is the real fight of KUNG FU vs KARATE. :)

  • kung fu is filled with speed power and combination but compared to karate they dont have reflex and power like karate.

  • Karate always wins just look at the fights or wushu fighters in competitions are really ridiculous compared with those of Karate.

  • chinese people make so many kung fu vs karate movies for the reason that they hate japs. I know this is scripted but in reality, the end result of the match would probably be the same thing

  • Bruce Lee = Best at Fighting

Jet Li = Best at choreography

Jackie Chan = Best at acting

  • @thegamerman7 Donnie Yen = Very good at all three

  • @thegamerman7 to be honest bruce lee was probably the best actor aswell i mean im a huge jackie chan fan but he plays the same character in almost all of his movies

  • @skateonsurf Ya Bruce was a pretty good actor too. I can watch his movies a thousand times and not get tired of teh dialogue.

  • @thegamerman7 Jackie Chan= best at acting + stunting.

  • @Superbattle54 thanks plus @thegamerman7 that's more proof

  • @thegamerman7 Jackie Chan survived a fall and other stunts gone wrong, Bruce Lee dint survive a sleeping pill.

  • @Kaisertoji Bruce Lee didn't die from a sleeping pill.

  • @thegamerman7 Tony Jaa = Best at breaking people's bones

  • @thegamerman7 they are all actors, please be wise enough to differenciate between fact and fiction. even Bruce Lee's movie fight scenes were Choreographed. Or did you think they were real

  • @Dobbersky I know, but Bruce Lee used very little special effects. The only thing he used (not counting fake blood and props) was slow motion (to see his moves better) and whatever he used to make it look like he did a really high kick in that one movie.

  • @thegamerman7 but all his stunts[well at least most of them]are real with no strings or green/blue screen

  • @thegamerman7 you forgot donnie yen, but idk where he comes into place in the "best at"

  • what is the title of this movie?

  • As I've mentioned in the other video from this movie, this is not JKD. It is a form of free-boxing of that time period. A mixture of Mi Zong Quan (Mix of Hong Quan and Yong Chun) and free style fighting. At the time of this story, Bruce Lee was not even born yet, and proper Bruce Lee influenced JDK (A derivative of his master Ip Man's Yong Chun) has practically no blocking; hence "Way of the Intercepting Fist".

  • This is one of the best Jet Li fight scenes ever. I love this one.

  • HEY MORON SHIT LOOK AT UR COMMENTS THIS IS NOT KARATE FEGG

  • watching this makes me feel like I can can Kick Ass

  • Jet Li is the one with wearing an grayish blue color suit!

  • that's not jeet kune do it is bai hok pai, crane style against shito ryu karate, it shows!

  • what kind ofcloths is jet li wearing looks like a suit

  • debido a que el oponente de Jet Lee es japones, realmente es Kung Fu chino contra tecnicas de hapkido con Tae kwon do.

  • @Theotokano Kung Fu is can Beat Both!

  • This movie it's pointless...It doesn't matter each one martial art. It's obvious the protagonist will win =/

  • which one is jet li?!

  • Fist of Legend

  • @DragonAge2k It was a draw, actually. The point wasn't to win, but to help prepare Chen Zen for the kind of fight he'd be facing against the japanese general.

  • what style of karate are they using?

  • @pimdaddysmallboy

    its might be shotokan

  • Question, Might I ask, what movie this is? I think I want to watch it.

  • I never was much for karate, but I've always admired this fight scene. The japanese guy really portrays what karate (or any martial art) is supposed to be. fast and agile. I would say karate in this case is pretty comparable to chinese wing chun gong fu! Which I am partial to.

  • @fishertg "Wing chun" and "Karate" live in COMPLETELY separate worlds.

  • @fishertg Funny you say that, because karate has its roots in Southern kung fu. But to clarify, speed and agility are really aspects of Japanese style of karate. Okinawan karate emphasis more in-fighting, grappling, pressure point/joint manipulation. Mind you, all these aspects are in all karate, it's just Japanese and Okinawans styles emphasize different things.

  • @deek77 i do agree karate has its roots in chinese martial arts but not kung fu. because kung fu is just what america and most of the world calls chinese martial arts in china martial arts isnt called kung fu. kung fu are words that describe anything that requires skil thats gained from effort so a painter can have good kung fu. karate's roots are Naha-te, Shuri-te, Tomari-te and various chinese arts such as chinese kenpo which is what japanese call chinese martial arts

  • @actionmanrandell Yep I know, thanks.

  • Taekwondo goes along the lines of defending yourself without killing someone because if you kill someone, you will go to jail. So the only lethal attack they've tought me is kneeing someone in the forehead.

  • @Pingu3040 you should practice muay thai then ; )

  • This is my fave movie of Jet Li.

  • What's the name of this movie?

  • @andersonpalodeti Fist of Legend, a new version of Bruce Lee's Fist of Fury.

  • jet li in governor of china costume lol

  • karate is not a copy of Kung Fu,get your facts right

  • i hate those titles like "Kung fu vs. Karate". In this case it should be "Two good fighters testing their abilities" instead. As any good master says, everything depends on the fighter, not on the art. Some people seriously should learn that.

  • @TheLittleBoyNextDoor

the problem is that people will never learn that

  • jeet kune do is different from kung fu

  • @DragonAge2k jet li

  • This aint real kung fu or karate,

i saw many styles being used,

    Muay Thai Knees

    boxing foot work

    and jujtsu leg locks

  • @horaaliya all those moves you just stated are in both kung fu a karate

  • Lol a karateka usually wouldn't use all thses fancy kicks but will go for a simpler and more effective ones.

  • That is dedicated training for you. I think that kind of traininq would take around 10 years to master certain areas.

  • karate for the win

  • Completely believable in every detail

  • muito bom !!!!!

  • this also depends on the fighter, not really the style

  • i'm tired of seeing kungfu always winning, at least here you can see a draw, if people think kungfu is better, then watch mas oyama, he was a very good fighter, and the creator of kyokushin karate

  • what movie is this?

  • @lsean

the movie is "fist of legend"

  • @TheMartialartsJedi he is using thai boxing also

  • @jaylyn3 nope,I don't see it. Thai boxing uses different axis of movement for it's kicks.

  • whats the tittle of this?

  • I still think that Fung fu is the best cause kung fu is not only about hitting people it is everything!

if you want to be always strong just learn fungfu !!!!!!

  • @tiantianxiangshang1 Karate is also the same. The lifestyle, discipline, and heart ar the most important in Karate.

  • What a beautiful showcase of martial arts...

  • @kedluben

    The movies. Yeeeeeeah..

  • Guys most modern and traditional arts are combined from ancient arts...

  • @TheMartialartsJedi ...uh... Jet Li is an actor, an action movie actor, which means he knows how to act in every martial arts.

  • funny

  • Fist of Fury is a very cool movie !

  • @sportistTkdbg it's Fist of Legend

  • @sportistTkdbg that one's fist of legend, the remake of fist of fury.

  • what is the name of this movie?

  • @deco5744 Fist of Legend

  • lol who won?

  • I would've taken advantage of the wind. there's only winning in a fight.

  • Did He Die?

  • cool

  • This is a good fight scene, very good scene!!

  • It it was for real, karate would win normally.

  • @Saltychips789 You are completle wrong. The Film is not a remake it is the continue of the film feraless and it is based on kung fu !

bruce lee technique is based on kung fu too not on karate

  • This is Karate Vs Karate really lol Jet Li in this movie was based in japan and was heavily influenced by karate practitioners (in the movie) But in this movie its called "Fist of Legend" its kind of a remake of Bruce Lee's: Fist of fury movie, They are both based off an old chinese legend of a Kung Fu Master being killed by the Japanese there are many different varients of the story.

  • @Saltychips789 Its kinda a remake of Chinese connection..not fist of fury.

  • @Supes9780 Chinese Connection was originally called Fists of Fury when it was released in China. It is kinda funny that this movie takes place before Karate came to Japan, and obviously before the creation of jeet Kune Do. Jet Li is using is Wushu training and the other gentleman is using some interesting techniques, some of which are actually karate.

  • the guy in the hakama looks more like he's using Tae Kwon Do

  • This isn't Karate or Maybe Kyokushin karate...?

  • @Nunchuckerable No it's suppose to be shotokan and that karate guy suppose to be base of Gichin Funakoshi this just a movie. but i like for once a karate stylist wins.instead of that streoty[ical movie where karate loses.

  • karate is a copy of kung fu

  • @kokulink Not really, although there is some incorporation of Shaolin Kempo and White Crane Kung-fu in many styles of Karate. Calling it a copy is a bit much.

  • @kokulink lol no its not

  • @xUM3RKH4Nx even my sensei told me that its based of it

  • Comment removed

  • te apoyo hermano el karete es un estilo muy fuerte yo practico muay thai y mi mejor amigo es karateka y es muy fuerte

  • wtf that is not karate, that guy isn't even using karate lol

  • @rinwhr and jet li is using mauy thai

  • @edlo123 yeah i saw that to he was using jkd at all

  • @rinwhr

    You don't understand.

I wish the owner of this video would of have shown most of the parts after the fight when Jet Li's opponent told him ''if you learn to be fluid, to adapt, you would be unbeatable'' what he means is that the more styles you adapt into your fighting system, than you'll become a much stronger opponent. And as you see in this scene, the karate dude was adapting Jet li's techniques, which was very smart of him because he must of knew that one style wasn't enough for li

  • While they are fighting I will sneak in and rape the girl. lol >:D

  • Jet Lii is awesome, he make a great kung fu movies.

  • Richard simmons would destroy both these guys!

  • eso es aikido

  • sOME OF YOU DON'T REALIZE THESE ARE SCIPTED MOVIES AND FIGHT SCENES.If you see 1000 fights bewtween real fighters,in real life, they will never look like this-NEVER!

  • @peak199 that's because the real fights you see are people who can't fucking fight worth a flip

  • @brizzlestick Well, you have a point. But many of us do know how to fight. The thing is,you might see someone in a street fight use a few good moves,or good skills, but you rarely will see anyone put together a string of moves in sucsession, unless they are fighting an opponet that is unskilled,or afraid.Fear, and anger are the 2 things that get most fighters beat. When you watch UFC,you don't often see fights that look so pretty either.

  • @peak199 yeah well when u learn kung fu or karate the first thing you learn is to not fight. like jet lee or jackie chan have never fought 4 real in their life
