part of the problem was Sony pressuring Kojima to show stuff, show his cards too early... we all knew about the Beauty and the Beast crew well before the game came out which killed all of the surprise to the game.

I'm at the end of Peace Walker and it feels much more like a full MGS game to me than MGS4 was. MGS4 was just way to clusterfucked overall... long load times and no gameplay to make up for it, tons of awesome weapons and gadgets yet no real reason to even use the amazing octocam suit etc. The game just seems to be tiny levels linking the boss fights together. It has all the elements to be great but in the end i fell it's a letdown. The clunky engine and bogged down story made it feel broken.

What is with people not knowing how to give a review of a game without telling what happens and giving stuff away? I'd be pissed if I hadn't already played the beginning and didn't know about Snake's predicament.

And I'm laughing at the beginning where he says it's loading and the review will begin once it's finished and then puts the load screen up. Hahaha! Who does that?! What a way to promote a game. Put it's extremely long loadscreens front and center. Haha!

first of all MGS4 is the fifth in the series Portable Ops is the forth secondly if any reviewer don't give this a perfect 10 is an idiot you will not find a more better made game out now that surpasses Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots

correct you there this is the fourth metal gear solid, portable ops was like a psp version of the the thrid game but as no story mode why do you think its so cheap in stores to buy any of the metal gear games on the psp were counted as the proper story.
