  • Great game and amazing videos! I`ve always loved the RUSH series but this one is my favourite. I play it with my brother to this day (and we`re no kids anymore:) We learnt many shortcuts/coins from Ur vids. Cheers Mate! Ps I wish they release it for XBLA..

  • wasnt there a huge ramp that launched you out of a building somewhere in that track?

  • the respond button sure comes in handy there short cut on track 5 like that as well

  • man you own that track :D i keep messin up at the littil 4:14

  • Dude, you got a fast take-off on that. o.o What were the specs you gave the vehicle?

  • @OddFacade

Well I can't remember precisely. But the biggest secret is to use the standard Light Frame; not the Light Alloy. Another thing that makes a big difference is to use Manual transmissions instead of auto. Other than that it's just regular parts that are unlocked throughout the game.

  • is this midway arcade treasuries 3 or dream cast version

  • Dreamcast

  • love! the paint job and the car the magnums my favorite car in that game

  • This is the game i would come home to and play everyday. Its too bad there are less of these now they are almost extinct. I still play this about 4 days of the week. I really miss the good ol' classics like this one. Its gonna make me sad when my game or my n64 goes kaput

  • They've got "Midway Arcade Treasures 3" on the PS2, and it includes this game.

  • Yep you race just like me, I took all these same exact routes, the same exact cuts, the same exact cars resets.

  • Great show, awesome game. Man this game was my life back in the day. In fact, I have the numbers 2049 tatooed on my left knuckles (lol a childhood venture no doubt).

  • Is there anything this guy can't do?

  • arcade version + abort abuse was so much fun. god, i miss rush 2049. :(

  • Do you have to flip a switch to get into that tunnel at 1:31?

  • In a "Single Race" against drones, yes. But this is a Time Trial race in "Ghost" mode; therefore the tunnel is automatically open and the switch removed. Normally the switch would be right there in line to the tunnel, between the fence and tree at 1:30.

  • I wish I had the Dreamcast Version, but I kinda like the N64 better, it's music for Track four was pretty catchy.

  • woah the dreamcast version has headlights and tailights

  • I think I'll get the N64 version since I can't afford a Dreamcast.

  • I think the Police paint job isn't in the N64 version. But that's gay how there's no 4-player Single Race mode. Maybe they forgot to put that feature in or it took up too much space in the cartridge

  • Yeah, too much space, I think.

And while there are no preset customized paint jobs in the N64, on the DC, 8 presets are all you get (and only the Magnum has police). There's no creating your own by changing just the stripe, trim, body, or whatever to whatever colors you want. No idea why.

  • I like the arcade version much better x.x

  • hey Chris,u rock ta this game!btw, I need tips like codes,or ur tactic to this game, cuz it rocks =D

  • YES! The Magnum is my favorite vehicle in Rush 2049. XD Like the rest of your ghost runs, they're pretty good. =D

  • Thank you for the comments (And so Sorry it's coming ultra late).

There are only small, subtle differences in the cars, but I do believe the Magnum is amoung the most stable in the game (turning, bumping off walls, jumps...) A very balanced car overall; easy to use.

  • yea or the little box car
