All the arowana is legal in USA including Asian arowana aslong they are microchipped and have the certificate of identity, I live in California and I have Asian super red arowana and Green arowana. I got all my Asian Arowanas in Los Angeles , there is one store there, they pretty much sell all kind of Asian arowanas, and it all comes with certificate of Identity and all da fishes have been microchipped.

Also, my tank is pretty aggressive, my silver is always messing around with my clown knife, and he puts up a good fight, usually only over food, and my oscar tanks anybody that goes in his corner, I just wouldn't feel safe putting anything less than a full grown arro in there.
