Tarja Vs. Anette Kuolema Live

Both versions are good. But if it singing Tarja, the song become great, like pray or something between heaven and the Earth, If it singing Anette - it's gospel? it's experiment to do something really sad or moving? What is intention of the song?

I didn't think, that she gets the song so well(apart from the Endpart). I must say, though Anette had to lern the language first, she does it quite well. I'm honest, I hate IT(not HER!), when she sings the old Songs(I've seen Nightwish live at ''On a dark Winter's Night'' in 2007). At worst, I find it (for now) at Sleeping Sun(!) and Wishmaster. The old Songs.. that are simply Tarja's Songs, for Tarja's voice, like the new Songs are Annette's Songs, for her voice. This is just so.

I am sorry if I seem to have a different opinion but this is not a fair comparison.

In one video you have professional sound and video and the other is some random person's camera or cell phone. It is surprising how much of a difference professionals seem to make. Also, both versions of this song are good. Anette is not an abomination like most people, probably some of you reading this, make her out to be. She does have an amazing voice and although it is not Tarja's that does not mean it is bad

Everyone needs to get their heads out of their asses and accept that change is happening and sometimes it is different but not any better or worse than the original. There was a reason that Tarja was "let go" and I doubt most people hating on Anette have even bothered to look up. Forgive me if I offended any of you but I just got a little tired of so many people hating a good singer for the wrong reasons.

Tarja is the queen of voice!! Anette is a shadow of Tarja's excellence made even darker when you compare the two with a song that Tarja perfected. Anette is ok in her own range, but she needs to stick to it and not even attempt something that is way out of her league: she is no soprano.

Not a fair comparison at all. Tarja's was recorded indoors professionally with a pre-recorded backtrack and accompanying vocal tracks. Since this was a produced dvd I'm sure it also went through post mix and mastering as well. Anette's was recorded with what looks like a flip camera or cell phone, live and outdoors without a backing vocal track. Obviously Tarja is a better singer overall, but put Anette in a similar situation and I'm sure the result would be even better than this take.

Gasp! How surprising.

I don't really think this is a fair comparison, considering Tarja's native language is Finnish, and Anette's isn't. But, even as a huge Anette fan...I have to say, Tarja does own her with this song. I love Anette's voice with it, but she sounds sweet, while Tarja sounds sad.

Well... as i said in the description, i think this particular comparison, both Tarja and Anette sings very well this song (i think it's the only song Anette can sing well), but i still prefere Tarja.
