Question, my bird ate my Sea Monkey food packet. I went to pet store and bought Small Bites, food for baby fish. Is that ok? It was an emergency. I didnt know what else to do, ordering a new packet was gonna take too long. Also, how much and how often do I feed them? I also lost the spoon, how much do I feed them? Thanks so much for the info.

KWL video! I have just got a new batch of sea-monkeys and these are my 4th colony! They are so enjoyable to watch and look after and I advice parents or teachers if any of your sons, daughters or pupils want a family or class pet than sea-monkeys are TOTALLY IDEAL!

This set up is really neat!

I want to introduce my little one to the world of easy care yet fascinating pets, and sea monkey's are definitely that .. I also love the idea of a larger tank as I once *shudders at the memory* accidentally knocked over the small plastic one .. Can you tell me, is it recommended to get multiple packets of eggs/water purifier to start of a larger tank? And if so, at what kind of ratio? If you don't mind my asking :)

for every 10-12 ozs of water, you must add packets #1 and #2.

For example, a 1/2 gallon tank requires around 6 packs (#1 and #2 each)

you can buy something called tonic salts. it very cheap and it has the same effects as the packet that contains the white salty things. you cana slo buy extra eggs from pet stores. and instead of feeding them you can buy a plant growing lamp and place it on the tank. the light encourage the growth of alge(a green bacteria) which the sea monkeys can feed on.

Just remember that if you add anything not made by Transcience, may ruin their balanced formulas and void their guarantee.

What else do you expect? They're artemia salina, visit the website to read more about them. You can say this is a "dinosaur shrimp" as they didnt change much in millions of years.

I carefully let some algae to grow in the tank. And my favourite Sea-Monkey food is "Super Food", "Red Magic" and "Gro-Kwikly", two times a week.
