In addition Africans themselves would raid villages that did not belong to their tribe and captured slaves to trade them to others including the Europeans.

There is one mistake in the song. It states Europeans went to Africa to "CAPTURE" the slaves. Actually the truth is that went to BUY slaves as that is where slavery was being practices. The slave trade in Africa was well established centuries before the Europeans came there. The Arabs where the largest slave traders across the Sahara . In addition Africans themselves would raid villages that did not belong to their tribe and captured slaves to trade them to others including the Europeans.

If you think about it, hurting a slave would be in poor judgement. People had an investment in their slaves. If they were hurt too badly they wouldn't be able to work. At least they were getting fed. Some of them would have prob starved in Africa.

Say it!: There is no justification for what these en-slavers have done to the African! It was brought to my attention that the continent of Africa was so severely raped by the slave trade that it is not what it could have been. Sure there was famine in Ethiopia, maybe others, but not the whole continent.

U've probably never heard of the systematic extermination of the "bushmen", by their fellow Africans or the "child slave-trade" that still takes place, today. The "bushmen" were black Africans who were known for their short stature and were killed for seemingly "inferior" traits. At least the Jews in Germany were physically strong enough to defend themselves.

Erm, many European nations got rich throught the slave trade as well. Spain and Portugal shipped slaves all throughout Latin America, and Britain brought many slaves to the US and many Carribean islands. Almost everyone in Jamaica is a descendant of a former British slave. So don't knock the US without also knocking some of your fellow Europeans.
