Adam West is a great-looking man. When he played Bruce/Batman, I think he was gorgeous. Better looking than the other Batmans except for Christian Bale (I admit I am a Balehead). He aged quite quite well. And Burt Ward is good-looking as well. I am commenting not on the movie/series. Simply how great they look past and present.

As much I loved that show, it's awful. I'm pretty happy they went a new direction for Tim Burton's film.

It's interesting, Burt Ward was talking in another interview about the "applie-pie" "all american" nature of the 66' Batman series. He said it's what made it so much better than the later films, but in fact, it's what makes the 66' batman series such a joke now. Batman is supposed to be noble, yes, but also dark.

No, there are different versions of the comic, the 70s and up being the most inaccurate portrayal of the originals (these are what The dark knight, batman begins, and even Batman forever were based on). 1966 Batman was based on the REAL, ORIGINAL, Authentic Batman, Not the shit hollywood pumped out to make some extra money.

I have old reprints of Batman that I collected as a kid from 1939 to the '60s and none of them (even from the '60s) were as campy as the show. In fact, the original Batman had no problem killing off the bad guys. While the current Darknight Detective doesn't go that far, he's certainly closer to the original than Adam West's version was.

Batman has certainly changed along the way and fans can disagree upon which is their preference. With that said, the TV show "Batman" doesn't really represent the almost 70 years of the character's development. It was meant to be a parody of the comic book and it succeeded there.
