you must have a big gap between the case and the mother board, I would be afraid that the cable would touch, and there would be some sort of static discharge or something. So how has that worked for you?

I don't think so, if that happened the computer probably wouldn't work anymore :D That sucker would be fried. But I guess it does work, for the most part.. sorry about that bro. I might sleeve them, and then put it behind the mobo, that should work well. But I'm getting that XClio A380 Full Tower case for my new computer, so there should be way more than enough room.

You should always remind the user to unplug the computer from the wall before doing any upgrade work. Many PCs remain powered and the circuit boards have voltage applied because "off" is really "sleep" electrically. Unplugging cables when power is really there is not good. Also one should wear a ground strap.
