The second song one hears, "Presley´s cover of "Mystery Train" remains Simon´s favourite tune in rock and roll, as told to Michael Kay in the Hit and Run segment in Kay´s YES Network show.
Isn't it interesting how most bands need computers to get a sound as great as this, and yet Simon and Garfunkel can get it sitting in a hotel room with nothing but a single guitar and their voices?
@skitch88 I didn't think of it that way. Haha, when I heard him say that to Art, I was imagining a mother saying it to her child. He's so high that he's like a mother, responsible for him.
@SkepticalChimp he kinda was. Paul wrote everything, Art was along for the ride cos they were childhood friends and Paul dug his angelic singing, but i think near the end of the partnership, he may have felt that Art wasn't pulling his weight. realize that Art at this time was starting to be in movies and wasn't around to chip in.
@pshapiro I think what he said is, "I know, he liked this song. I couldn't get over that". I think they likely played the song to a producer or someone and what they probably thought was a crappy song, actually was catchy :)
It sounded like he said: "I don't...like this song.....I couldn't get over that.."
i'm not sure, but that's what I hear. Could be true too because I remember Paul saying in some interview that to him the song was like a simple child's song.

why would that guy not stop mumbling while the other one was trying to sing? ..I would've turned to him and smacked him right across the lips with my knuckles. If these guys were ever famous.. I should be a rockstar by now.
I love this video. the lightness and breeziness of it!

you can tell they're tired and cranky and probably sick of each other when Paul looks over and says "yeah yeah i know..."
kinda puts a damper on such a happy song.
