Though there are many variables that would affect the success of REAP and expecially in the case of african countries where corruption is rampant these solutions might be harder to accomplish, the main idea to improve their SOL is there.

The mircofinance is a great idea..empowering entrepreneurs to create a positive change..not to mention the drip irrigation idea as well for farmers to improve yield crop. A little credit goes a long way! As a testimony of the feasiblity of the idea presented in the video, do check out "Kiva"-loans that change lives.
