ya, don't compare marty to woody allen. allen is a hack compared to marty. the most boring marty sketch leaves allen about as interesting as a misspelled dictionary.
@TheStupedCat I first discovered Marty Feldman's work about a year ago. He's my favorite British comedian. I have great respect for him as a performer and as a person.
P.S. Thank you, Hammerman8699, for sharing this sketch with all of us.
Thank you for posting this nostalgia from the sixties. Its great to see it again after more than forty years. The Marty Feldman Comedy Machine was unique among popular television shows in California. I really enjoyed seeing it, even though I was only six years old at the time.
I remember watching this show before I could talk. IMy most vivid memory was a sketch where all the men had thier pants around thier ankles. "If God had wanted us to keep our pants up, he would have given us suspendors". I would love to get this series on disc. Thanks for the great post! Cheers
Qdrone, marty actually worked with John Cleese, Graham Chapman, and Tim Brooke-Taylor in a sketch based show called 'At last The 1948 Show' a few years before Python. Just about as surreal as Python, but still side-splittingly funny.
Its painfully obvious that Monty Python owes marty feldmam a debt of gratitude for their style of humour.Watching this snippet reminded me of Wile E Coyote and his acme toys.I hope Marty gets the acclaim he so richly deserves and thank you to hammerman for releasing these sketch episodes. As a sketch writer always looking for inspiration these always make me chuckle.
Feldman is a genius. It's great to see this stuff that US audiences just have never been exposed to before. Four minutes of Marty is worth the entire run of King of Queens.
That is great, hammerman. My first introduction to Marty Feldman was from that Dean Martin summer replacement series -- wasn't it the show built around The Golddigers? Anyway, few people ever made me laugh as hard. Thanks so much for posting this. I'm going to look around now and see if you have that one where he's hitting a golf ball all over the universe, or the "just one more" skit.
The Dean Martin Show also introduced the US to some sketches of Monty Python, Bicycle Repairman and Men turning into Mice before PBS ever thought of showing the entire episodes.
*takes a break from his Youtube British Comedy Marathon* Now this is an awesome video. Gotta love the escalation of his antics- the Trebuchet and rocket were the best parts. ^.^
And he is definitely the bravest and most romantic knight I've seen... screw the knight in shining armour (Snow White was better off with one of the dwarfs!). Have to agree, this is what romance is (not that I would know), warts and all.

@tlbruffy Yep, that's 99 - minus Max and his shoe phone. I'd never seen her paired with Marty before. :)

Funny Feldman Skits:
1) The Tire (marty chasing runnaway tire through city)
2) What do You think, Professor? ( someone hand Marty priceless pieces and ask title question and Marty promptly smashes same)
3) Just one more please (A politician cant get away from Marty, who keeps snapping his photo)
4) Keep off the grass Marty's hat falls onto a lawn and must walk on the forbidden grass to retrieve)
5) The pants skit (Marty doesn't get his way and threatens to take pants off.)
All were from 1960's

I was going to write something upon the lines of how I find this entertaining, but whilst I know it's funny It still won't get me to laugh.
I was going to write that, until he brought out the Trebuchet. Then I Really laughed. A+
