Okay, THIS is why Jay McCarroll is the best winner of Project Runway. Everything he does is very well crafted AND wearable, whereas most of the others do very couture stuff that can't really be worn except on fashion runways or for Vogue. THESE are very wearable AND appealing! Bravo!

My favorite pieces were in the beginning and in the end (the black/white/gray/silver and the yellow/orange/red outfits). I was really thrown off by the too-matchy, hot air balloon/parachute print, chartreuse pieces. I also didn't particularly care for any of the accessories nor especially the models- a bit too much attitude and pretension.

@n4T4L13XX Oh God! I hate Christian. His clothes were intricately designed but their so gimmickey. The only reason Christian won is because he was a viewer favorite. Producers control the show. Jay is pretty good, but again he is borderline gimmickey. I've always loved the losers more thant the winners, such as Malan.He has had a show at every Fall and Spring Fashion week in NY since the show. he's elegant, wearable, and has thoughtful designs and has legit clientelle.

Guess I better check out Malan. But I will agree with you about Christian. He has good tailoring skills and he can drape but he can be so tacky. And yes, Jay has some nice prints but I get that gimmicky vibe too. Anyway, thought this collection only started to pick up after the yellow bow hideousity. There were some nice prints/outfits reaching a high point with the long yellow dress. But he level droppedd off with the cheap orange/yellow/gold combos.

I agree, but Jay's admittedly a new born to the fashion industry and it's obvious he chose his models because he was tired of seeing the same 5'10" Eastern-European blonds who all have the exact same face. Of course, thinking that it was about bias and not about the clothes. I do, however, think that the clothes were so opposite the likes of YSL that he was able to get away with it--for the majority of the show. And Omahyra? Marvelous.
