Wish I had the insurance for this type of surgery after my accident lost my job so mo insurance but my family is trying to convince me to go to morocco and get the surgery but now I seen the tools that you used I'm a bit sceptical about getting that type of surgery in a third world country but no other choice because of this great country
Just getting around to read these. Thanks for the honest reply and input. And yes, I too love the advances and techniques i can offer my patients. Good luck with your surgery.
I might have to go through some sort of ankle surgery too. Watching this was so incredibly terrifying, but interesting. I kind of gagged a little when he was cleaning up the debris, as if it were nothing..Kinda not used to seeing the insides of my body! But anyways after watching this video I'm still amaze at the type of technology and advances we're having in medicine these days. It's incredible.
So I'm having this surgery in a few weeks. My ankle pain has been entirely undiagnosed and I have no idea what initiated the pain (I've had problems with it for a long time). Anything I really need to know? Such as recovery time or any other useful information.
@stuntsaguilera It went very well. I decided not to watch them do it and asked to be knocked out. I got a nice nap and some pretty nifty pictures of the inside of my ankle afterwards. :)
I was on crutches for a week or two, partially because I'm a baby and was scared to put any pressure on it.
It's been a little over three months now and I still have some irritation when I try to run (still a challenge) or if I'm working or something. I'm still gaining balance with it. I didn't have any PT.
Fuuck, Ive got to have this done!!!

Wherever you go have it performed, make sure that somone is well trained, and more importantly, someone who performs a lot of these surgeries.....
The skill, experience and proper equipment dictate the patient's outcome
