Remember this takes place in a VERY SMALL town in Japan during the early 1980's. That there isn't a net is not that surprising. Also in the show he does grab one of the suspension wires but Satako starts shaking the bridge tell him to fall. Very sad arc (defianetly Bad End).

you could see the wire cage as he was falling and it was taller than him. another death that doesn't make sense. and while it was a bad end, at least it didn't end with k1 being gored in any way. it was actually my second favorite arc after the massacre chapter in kai.

Well, Keiichi killed Teppei, Rena, Mion...yeah. And Shion killed Satoko, Keiichi, Kimiyoshi and Teppei. Rena killed Teppei and Rina. Satoko killed Shion and herself (and attemped to kill Keiichi but she failed). Rika and Mion killed nobody. Takano killed Rika, Satoko, Mion, Shion and Keiichi in one episode...she wins! XD

Haruhi basically calls out "Lets go!" at the start of each new scene and then they moan in annoyance when its a bad end. At the very end she screams "ARGRHRGRHGRHRHHHHH!!!! KYON! THIS GAME IS PISSING ME OFF!!!" he replies "Thats because you keep charging in blindly!" and she says "I like things that are easier to understand!" which had me loling soo much. Such a good commentary on the first season of Higurashi XD

Well it's a mystery, dective and horror anime, so it does makes any sense. It's "sick" maybe, but it's a very good story, like Elfen Lied. ("Sick" anime's are maybe the ones with the best story's... hmmm...) Look at Wikipedia or tick in on Google "Higurashi" and then the first one.
