On sentencing one Asim Kausar for having a "recipe for Ricin", the Recorder (Part-time Judge) of Manchester stated:
"There [is] no evidence that the offending went beyond collecting information. I accept that all of this material is available on the internet and can be bought from retailers and I accept some of it is out of date,"
Sounds good for a fair acquittal, right?
"[This makes the material] no less dangerous or any less useful to a person committing an act of terrorism".
The information WOULD be dangerous to a terrorist yes, along with a suspicious consignment of certain beans, but surely - There's no harm in peaceful interest without the raw ingredient?
The Judge ACKNOWLEDGED that, didn't he?
Err, not quite, apparently!!!
He decided that because Kausar's actions "went beyond mere idle curiosity".(opinion), that the defendant deserved a 27 month prison sentence.
The 'Anti-Terrorist' law, if it can actually be called a law is in serious doubt, isn't meant to capture 'terrorists' but to terrorise the populace by the terrorists, the Bush/Obama and the Blair administrations. THEY are the ones that terrorised the Iraqi people and slaughtered hundreds of thousands of innocent people in their own home, not the general public walking down England's streets.
It's a form of martial law, by another name, which is illegal in England during peace time!
freedom is a way of thinking and feeling/ lock me in jail for 50 years but inside i will allways be free, only god can judge us,and no politician or manufactured law can ever dictate how we feel and think, stay strong people and wise xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
yeah i agree with these people, only when people are harrassing other people with photography should it be a problem. Taking pictures of inanimate objects like buildings isnt a serious issue in this country and its just yet another case of the police doing stupid shit when they could be out arresting real criminals. Been seeing that for years.
POLITICIANS ARE NOT TELLING US WHY POLICE ARE GETTING MORE & MORE POWER IN THE WEST, I BELIEVE IT'S BECAUSE POPULATIONS ARE EXPLODING. EVEN STILL, THIS IS EXCESSIVE AND BRUTAL BEHAVIOUR BY REAL LOW LIFE POLICE WHO DON'T DESERVE THE JOB AS POLICE. THEY NOTHING MORE THAN THUGS!
Oh totally, I am normally stopped for no reason at least 4 times before I get to work and regularly over 5 times on the way home. Im sure the girl being interviewed is being totally honest.
The price of freedom is eternal vigilance, the price of vigilance is an illegal stop and search.
Next time you get stopped for no reason, don't look the communist pig in the face, don't give him the time of day, don't lift a pinkey to save his life. He as an agent of control is an enemy to every free individual.
The police are public servants, a servant has no place giving orders so don't put up with it.
fuck human rights kick all the pakie bastard terrorists out of our country and give that 4 eyed no man getting ugly bitch a slap at the begining of this vid...
What a retarded title. Fighting against terrorism violates basic human rights? If you didn't fight terrorism, you wouldn't have any more bloody fucking human rights as you'd be dead.
It has been discovered that the war on terror, in the pre-existing papers, said the war on (people that think their free) are terrorist, when in fact they knew it was themselves that are the ones that terrorise the people, so the police believe they are immune from retribution from the people, when in fact they will be the first to go when the people stand to be counted and guess who will be next ( oh let them eat cake) politicians. Do they think they can win this war.
UK wake up, France and other countries have big problems than this, with religious fanatics and terrorism,is this end of western culture???You must fight against terorism in your country ...hurry up, clock is running

What's the point of anti-terrorism laws when Terrorists break them AND allowed to do so for *Religious reasons*?
Look how they walk straight through those new body scanners that supposed to be able to detect *Exploding underpants*

This just porves that we have no power as people. We need to rise up against these kind of Bans. It is an abuse of the public.

The police are there to protect us not to assault those of us that are photographers.
I myself have been stopped once whilst trying to take a shot.
Most police dont actually know the law themselves properly and so its stupid for them to try and inforce something thy dont understand
