I totally understand what you're trying to say and you're right!. Rasite is good at playing others songs but Is he good at making songs of his own?, Well unless Rasite show us something that he had done, we will never know :)

He's right. Steve Vai (The reason Laiho started playing guitar) said that some of the best licks he's written came from when he was playing and practicing and he messed up... Also, there was an interview where Alexi was talking about writing music with Bodom and he said that they just play around until they find something that sounds good and then they go from there..... .

But you have to realize that some people cant write good music. Given his incredible talent I really HOPE Rasite writes good songs, he certainly has great taste in bands (WINTERSUN!! WOOOH!), but Alexi Laiho was writing songs with Children of Bodom (then IneartheD) back when he was 13 and not NEARLY as talented as Rasite is now. What I'm trying to say is that you cant practice creativity.

I disagree, with practice anyone can write songs. I used to be terrible at writing but I've improved massively as I've learned new songs on the guitar and learned to figure out what notes sound well together and over which chords. It's a matter of knowing what sounds good to you and knowing how to put your ideas to the guitar.
