Thank God you didn't say Cannibal Corpse (THEY SUCK!). I think Death, Kataklysm (sarcastic), and Arch Enemy (I mean 90s stuff with Johan Liiva) are the heaviest. Dimmu Borgir is really heavy too and as far as dark goes I say Black Sabbath (especially the song Black Sabbath) and Danzig.
