You known its a shame that Christopher Lambert only did the pilot episode of Highlander.  Lambert and Adrian Paul have awersome chemisty they play off each other very well in pilot and in endgame.

@Pdg554 I know! and Lambert should ALWAYS have been the superior and the focus. The "Endgame" movie does NOT exist to me. As far as Highlander goes I go like this (Highlander, and parts of Highlander 3 interjected back and forth, the series, and a fanfic that exists in my head that takes place after Highlander 3. And of course, some past adventures with Connor and Duncan :P)

The villains are cheesy as feta. The heroes dress like pretty boys. These are supposed to be immortal killing machines, warrior poets.

People like it because the idea is fantastic. But the series was never really taken very far. The only exception was when Adrian Paul and Stan Kirtch were trying to kill each other. THAT was brilliant. But the rest just sucked. Here are people that have lived through every period in history. It would have been incredible to see them facing off against all the creatures of myth and folklore.

first you must know what kind of reality is this you see any vampire around or any werewolf you can say that in past centuries there were creatues becouse thats not the reality of th plop is the normal world just with inmortal nothing more no creatures

For example. Obviously vampires are myth symbolic of our fears of bandits (in the past) and disease (in the present day). But wouldn't it have been awesome if there were no vampires because the Immortals slaughtered them all? And then in the modern times the creatures decided to go for a rematch? Imagine Adrian Paul, a strong athletic man with no special powers other than the fact he can't be permanently killed facing a thing of nightmare. And putting the beat down on it.

Imagine two immortals battling it out. One of them gets the upper hand. Just before he gives the killing blow, they both perk up, sensing the approach of a mob of these things. They put aside all differences, look at the leader of the creatures, and one of them spits on the ground in contempt. Now tell that wouldn't have been awesome.

The plight of an Imortal is not just about surviving and keeping record of the lives you've lead, one must also learn how to live with oneself throughout those lives: put simply, life, even imortal life, has to be about more then surviving to fight another day. It is not the battle that makes an epic ballad, it is the warriors who fought it and what they fought for
