Wal*Mart NEverStart batteries are CRAP! I had one brand new in my '90 Legend when I bought it 2 years ago in November (was put in the car in July) and it froze that January when it got cold, while the car was parked in a garage. I immediately had the alternator tested, which came back good, just a junk battery. I replaced it with an Interstate Mega-Tron Plus, no problems yet.
Battery sticker is C8= March 2008. which is when that battery was manufactured. Install date is still the unknown factor.... at 4 years old, that battery is nearing the end of it's life anyway
@Bunkers101 You got a good one and it's had good maintenance. Even with good maintenance and being a good quality batteries, I've never had one go much over 5 years in life. Because Bah53's belt was loose, I'm betting a good recharge and it will be fine.
i think you can tell what year the battery's from by looking at the top of that sticker i saw, it looks like either c8 which would be 2008 or c9 which would be 2009

your original battery was manufactured in March 2008. It has a sticker on the top that said " C8"
