  • And finally i have found the extended version!!!

  • Never heard this one...how did I miss it love both artists! THANK YOU!

  • THIS SONG WAS MY JAM BACK IN THA DAY!

  • Wow, I forgot all about this. Kenny G AND Kashif??!! Cool business. Thanks!

  • grande kenny g :D

  • isn't that kim fields twin sister?

  • R&B meets contemporary jazz; classic moment here; song shouldve been a top 10 r&b hit at least. Kashif is the bomb & Kenny is in a class by himself. Fun video.

  • I Want the Extended Version

  • The extended version is hot! I had it on one of my old Tonemaster tapes. ;-)

  • Kenny G was a funk MF back in the day....too bad he figured out that his crappy love songs paid him more.

  • Wow Kenny g. before he crossed...he was the best then....and loved Kashif back then he was like todays ....never mind he's nothing like today that would be an insult

  • Comment removed

  • Agreed MsMelzy he was on his way to greatness before he got into playing elevator music.

  • This is still a tight jam! I dug Kenny G's album Gravity, I wish Kashif and Kenny would bring back the funk, the Special K's!!!

  • check out kenny g at 3:20,he couldnt help it but sing along with real passion.

Kenny g made that saxo cry,and Kashif put the soul into it.I have to put this on repeat at my wedding.DAMMMN

  • He was guest of the late Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show years ago and he said the late great Grover Washington was his main influence when it came to playing the saxophone.

  • finally......a song that i can play in my ferrari F430.

  • what a song. What has hapened to real music?

  • kenny G at 3:12,so into it.

this song is......................am lost for words.

what has happened to music?real talent?

the only good thing that we have now is technology,is it wasnt for it,i would rather live in the 80's(if i could)

  • If you listen to Kenny G's first album you will find most of Kashif's songs done in a Jazz version....

  • i love the video.

  • they should have done more together. The addition of Kashif took KennyG. to undreamed-of heights.

  • I must agree. These two make such a very impressive combination! Double K means double dynamite in my book. I also like your description of "undreamed-of heights." You inspired me when I read that. Honestly.

  • why does she remind me of kim fields.

  • Kashif my ass... that's Carl Weathers.

    :)

  • LOL!!!!!!

  • what memories.......

  • wow!!!!

  • I wonder why they chose an Asian woman to play the part

  • Because Asians are the HOTTEST women on the Planet. :-)

  • I love the extended version of this song. I actually have it on an old Tonemaster tape I made while recording songs from WBMX in Chicago. I was 11.

Now you know that tape is old, dusty, and warped. I would love to hear that version if you have it. Great post.

  • Does anyone know who that guy is stood by the model right at the end? I recognise him from 80s films and it's driving me mad not knowing who he is!

  • And that model is gorgeous.

  • yes, she has my love on the rise

  • Kashif and Kenny broke it the hell down in this song.

  • Kashif is GOLD !!!

  • Wow how I love Kashif. He is so good lookin, and his voice is even better. Can't go wrong with Kenny G in here also.

  • Did Kenny make a video for "What Does It Take"?

  • This song was released on Kenny G's Gravity CD...kick ass groove from back in da day!!!

  • True!!!!

Can you believe that I've only heard it just a few times since its release?

  • You can always tell a good song when you hear it...it really sticks in your head even when it disappears from the radar!!!

  • People who criticize KENNY G should get a life. Is he bad? No, a generation of youth are scared of liking what their parents like. He is not Philip Glass or Pink Floyd but this is a musical concept called 'SERENADE'. Serenade music holds interest for hundreds of years (Mozart, Eine Kleine Nacht Musik) and, sorry folks, Kenny G IS QUALITY. So what if he plays out-of-tune. Balinese musicians play off-tune and musicologists call it 'shimmer'. Kenny G 'shimmers'. I'm a proud owner of 'Gravity'.

  • yes, i like kenny g's earlier work (gravity, duotones)

  • why couldn't kenny stay this way? guess he wanted more money....

  • Memories of summer '85 visiting my aunt in Chicago, and hearing this song on the radio. I remember this song, 9.9 "All of Me for All of You", Yarbrough and Peoples "Guilty", among others. Great post!!!

  • I actually have this song on an old Kenny G cassette. It's from Kenny G's gravity album

  • where can i get his video "condition of the heart"? he was the best man.and his production too, for others. what a talented guy.

  • I wish this was on Kashif's Definitive Collection CD. This was huge in 1985 on the BET and Urban radio. I was living in Wichita, KS at the time.

  • I know that's right. This song is not on any of Kashif's Greatest Hits CDs.

  • I heard bout this video, but I believe this is the first time I seen it! I love this song!!

  • YEa looking at this, I can tell this got HUGE AIRPLAY on Video Soul, Video Vibrations, and was huge on the urban side all over!

  • i know, i have the CD and i wish it was on it, funny i didn't know until recently that he did this song "1985"

  • This 12'' was blazin! and listening to one of my parents' radio tapes, i'm deft. believing that this jam sounded great on radio!

  • I thought I was the only who had ever hard this song or had seen this video. Wow.

  • i remember this song kenny g is the man kashif is just magnancent .

  • Thx for the Vid

not as strong as Hi how ya doing
