Yep Great Tablet (probably the Best), but if your on a Budget and still want size! I'm selling one on eBay UK (leck865) thats affordable - 19" 1 day left on auction.
The best tablet is the Asus EP 121. I've finally found after looking endlessly for such a tablet for a reasonable price. You won't find a ipad or other tablets where you can rest you palm/hand on the screen while drawing. Its unnatural for your hand not rest on the screen which makes drawing/coloring hard so this is the solution. Though if more people buy this tablet the lower the price will go. Its pressure sensitive and allows photoshop. Its a little over a $1000. Draw easy and quickly.
No. I can say with mine for the first week or so I was trying to brush away the eraser when I erased lol.
All you need is a good tool set up for your pen and maybe even hotkey all the functions you use the most to work with the cintiq, since you can set up "profiles" for all the programs you use so all you have to do is push whatever buttons on the right or left side of the cintiq.
@ComedyPoet Hi. Without any doubts, the 24HD is better. Much better. The great resolution, size and all the buttons you have will do much great use of it. But I feel that the lack of rotating it physically is a problem for me. But I would recommend the new 24HD.
$2,695.95 on amazon? what the fuck!!!!! i was thinking about buying $ to my cousin so then he could buy it for me over the internet. but jeez!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's like 10 months of hard working job to me! it's around 24 millions Bs. =/
it's easier this way than choosing all the blue shade and tones to do from beginning ... If I do color them in blue from the start maybe it would look like avartar charactors instead lol
Is that just a glove where you've cut off the fingers? Or did you get that somewhere? I find that my hand /snags/ on my intuos4 and it's really driving me nuts. xD'
@rickyjshiznit Hi. Yes, the wacom bamboo series qork quite well, but if you want a tablet to draw, you will be better served if you buy a intuos tablet. The Intuos have more pressure levels, (intuos3 = 1024 / Intuos 4 = 2048) than the bamboo tablets wich have only 512 levels. So its less natural drawing with a Bamboo than with a Intuos.
@marcopmartins i'm probably going to buy a used intuos3 tablet. i was looking at the newest bamboo create tablets and they actually have 1024 pressure levels also but i dont think the pen works as an eraser like the intuos3 and it doesn't have as many buttons or a touchpad for scrolling/zooming/etc.
Just buy a used cintiq. That's what I did, and it was an earlier model with a nice hard surface so I won't actually scratch the screen (a complaint many a customer had with it).
Finally, the technology is there to bring drawing anime characters with swords to the next level! Blessed is the future, I can't wait to see all the anime haircuts and swords that will be brought to fruition with this device.
@RackelSaraviaMustang im pretty the the glove is so your hand doesnt mess up the picture. or it could be so your hand moves smoothly along the surface. cause i know if i dont wear some sort of fabric on my hand, and i move my hand across my computer screen, it kinda sticks to it. so im guessing those are some of its purposes
@toiletbrains well actually they used to be 2500$ in Canada through Amazon. and 2000 in the United States. But Now they're 2124$ through Amazon in Canada.
I just got a Wacom Bamboo Fun Tablet yesterday. This is the second tablet I have, but I want to know -- What is the glove for, as seen in this video? And is it alright if your hand touches/rests on the tablet's surface when you draw?
@imJenelli the glove is to prevent oil prints and keep the tablet clean; the screen is not touch sensitive. a lot of people don't even use a glove when drawing on this tablet.
Can I get some information on these types of computer tablets? I want to get one soon, but don't know really anything about it. I just know you can draw. Please, maybe send me some information as a message. It will help a lot. Thanks!
Depends how serious you are with art. These cintiq cost around $1000+ for a small and I think about 3000 for one of these big ones...
If you want to draw and not spend so much money I would recommend you to buy Wacom Bamboo fun medium :) They are probably one of the best of the cheaper tablets out there, I think it's around $200... I'm not very exact with these currentcies because I don't pay with american dollars :P
@ermelljno Hello agian! :) ok let me clarify this. In my first movie, the white glove I'm using it's just an ordinary cotton glove that I cut. At this time I didn't know that the SG existed! Then In my second movie I use the true SG, but then it wasn't for me the best choice because I use to put my ring finger on the screen. But now there is a second true version of SG and tha's the SG2 you can find on the SG website. ;)
@marcopmartins Ahahahahahah Yes i know that website in fact i was wondering where did you get that white SG because i didn't saw it on the website... XD
hello Sir. I'm planning to buy a Wacom Cintiq 21UX, the latest model. I search a bit about it, and I found that some people are complaing about scratches with the tablet after a short time, and repairs costs around 500 Euros. That worries me a lot.
How is your tablet condition as of now? :) regards
I have my Cintiq for about 4 years and don't have any scratch on it. But my model is the one that have the intuos3 teck. In fact, it's not the latest of the I3 series. I know that some people bought the next serie model of mine and had lots of scratch problems, due to the fact that the material was acrilic and not glass. I too have very careful not to begin to draw on the cintiq withou cleaning it. I'm often look at the pen tip to see if its rounded or too much sharpned.
If it's too sharpened I replace the nib. I too use the smudgeguard glove that besides helping my hand to slide better on the screen, it cleans it at the same time. So if you have some rules of using your cintiq you will do fine. Just remember to clean with a cloth the surface of the cintiq before drawing. That should be the first rule of all.
I can't seem to find this on the Wacom website, but are there specific hardware requirements such as video card/CPU requirements? I'm debating on either getting one of these or a new computer, and if I don't need the new computer to use this efficiently (I'm currently using a laptop with Vista), then I'll be able to get this sooner rather than later. Also, does it work just as well with Photoshop CS3 though 5, or is Corel required?
what pen tool are you using in corel painter here to do the line inking, and what levels if you dont mind sharing, i also have a cintiq and am a tattooer and would love to be able to get those black line like that, oh im also in portugal, (algarve)
Hello @MiniManga7 I use 3 diferent pens because each one have a diferent nib and software tool.
My Corel Painter XI setup is this: Airbrush pen is the Painter digital Airbrush. The Nib pen is the standard white plastic. The Grip pen is configured as a scratchboard tool using a felt nib on it. The Classic pen is configured as being a Sketching Pencil 5 with a standard white plastic nib. As I'm working I only change the pens and the tool is automatically changed in Painter.
@tomssexkitten well the tablet that the man is using in the video costs i think $2,000 and i'm not sure on this but i think each stylus is almost like a different pen or media, e.g.: one would be a ballpoint pen, another a pencil another a paintbrush. that is what i think but i stand to be corrected so if anyone knows for sure and i am wrong please correct me ^^
The problem of this tablet is not the cost itself, that is quite low, for a tablet like that, but that if i buy one of them... I must use it for work. And now, right now, i don't work. I want it for a libidinous need, ok? I Love It. Seriously, is the tablet of my dreams, if i could i would marry it. Don't ya love her madly? Don't ya need hr badly? (The Doors) Of Cours, I! F**K!
@cam1lo :) Well, It's kind of a cartoon of me. Besides of being a full time Designer, and a freelancer designer on my spare time, I am also a kung Fu Teacher here in Portugal. 3 years ago I had the chance to open my school with the name Long Chuan, and currently I have 9 students, and 5 of them, already have it's own cartoon "actor". The character you'r seeing is using the Nan Dao (China South Saber)
woow!. this device, but rather is the tool I'm looking for my animation projects is truly impressive!, for now, but if you can answer as soon as this price? ... you are a professional wow. I have much respect for the truth you're not either create a drawing as well, greetings, and I hope they answer hacerca price.
P.D
if one of the words misspelled, sorry about that I'm using google translator. greetings from mexico
HELP! I spilled a half of a cup of water on my desk and at the same time knocked my Wacom pen off its holder into the pool of water! The tablet itself did not get wet but the pen got wet! The next day I dried the pen off, and tried it. And the pen part would not work at all. but the eraser part would work normal What should I do ???
Yep Great Tablet (probably the Best), but if your on a Budget and still want size! I'm selling one on eBay UK (leck865) thats affordable - 19" 1 day left on auction.

@posvibes Hello!
Thank you for your comment. I'm using the scratchboard tool on the Pen icon. It's the best tool to ink.
Best regards.

Its to keep from interfering. Its a touch screen so you don't want accidental lines drawn

Why use your 3 pencils magnetic?
MiniManga7 9 months ago
Hello @MiniManga7 I use 3 diferent pens because each one have a diferent nib and software tool.
My Corel Painter XI setup is this: Airbrush pen is the Painter digital Airbrush. The Nib pen is the standard white plastic. The Grip pen is configured as a scratchboard tool using a felt nib on it. The Classic pen is configured as being a Sketching Pencil 5 with a standard white plastic nib. As I'm working I only change the pens and the tool is automatically changed in Painter.

i loved it!!! two questions how much did Wacom Cintiq cost and what dose each pen do exactly? ive been considering buying one for a while :D
tomssexkitten 9 months ago
@tomssexkitten well the tablet that the man is using in the video costs i think $2,000 and i'm not sure on this but i think each stylus is almost like a different pen or media, e.g.: one would be a ballpoint pen, another a pencil another a paintbrush. that is what i think but i stand to be corrected so if anyone knows for sure and i am wrong please correct me ^^

You should start making cartoons that involve kung fu! And have you as the main character! Something like Samurai Jack! I think you would do amazing!

cam1lo 10 months ago
@cam1lo :) Well, It's kind of a cartoon of me. Besides of being a full time Designer, and a freelancer designer on my spare time, I am also a kung Fu Teacher here in Portugal. 3 years ago I had the chance to open my school with the name Long Chuan, and currently I have 9 students, and 5 of them, already have it's own cartoon "actor". The character you'r seeing is using the Nan Dao (China South Saber)
Thank you for your comment!
