  • I'm here cause I'm depriving myself of sleep

  • the neurons in the brain are covered with hormones in order to function, these need to be removed when your asleep and then slowly replaced through out the next day day, when left awake these hormones can build up and clog them up and make them not fire properly. its like a computer that needs all the dust cleaned out every so often. one of the reasons for sleep

  • The longest I been up was 24 hrs when I was little.

  • It's not really any fact that you need to sleep, people just see the initial effects of less sleep and then they're like ohh it must be baaaad. I think it's like anything, your body is adapting to change and so it under goes a lot of pressure and strain. I can sleep less comfortably by simply training myself bit by bit. If you caught someone in my shoes a couple of months ago they would be like ohh dude we need sleep because we are like batteries that need to recharge but I aint got reason...??

  • Everyone thinks they are smart .......

  • ive stayed a full week without sleeping, YEWYAHHH WHAT NOW?!

  • these kids think there something special is stay up 40 for absolutely no reason poppin straight addies n blazin spliffs

  • @djmellix is it ok to use just any kind of mask? i bought one and it's a milk mask...and how often do you think i should be using it? like per week?

  • The longest I've been up is like 48 hrs, after the first 24, I found it kind of hard to stayed focused on anything I was doing, after 36, I felt pretty bad and got worse with every hour that went by, towards the end, my entire body hurt, I knew I was very tired but couldn't really fall asleep, after some time of just lying there I eventually passed out, woke up 18 hrs later, believe me I won't do it again unless really necesary.

  • So ive been up for the past two days now, i dont know what it is, but i cant sleep. i did fall asleep however, for about 10 mins, before i had to wake up and go to work. But ever since then ive been up, i can feel myself losing my perception of reality, im hearing things, i cant think straight and i cant concentrate, EVEN ON SLEEP!! personally i think ive developed insomnia and not the gaming company. ANYWAYS cya.

  • Im at 116 hours of no sleep on day three I began to hallucinate it get worse each night after about the record is 11 day which is 264 hours only six more day left fir the recod dont think ill make it but worth the ahot almost half way there

  • hahaha....sleep is really important...^^ but i got problems with sleeping...>,< i get only about 4-5 hrs. sleep a day...and it's really does nothing good at all with my skin...T_T

  • you cheated by using caffine..i like to enhance the effects of sleep deprivation by taking 12 sleeping pills and staying up for 48 hours

  • @carlose0318 Liar.

  • @Dannyrocksass otc sleeping pills...benedryl. if you take too many it keeps you up...makes your stomach uncomfortable and give you rls. clearly you don't know anyhting about that tho

  • did you hallucinate?

  • I don't know why people would actually try and stay awake, it's kinda weird unless (in your case) it's for an experiment or something.

I recently had my last exams until I go off to uni and 2/4 nights before each one I couldn't sleep. 2 Friday's ago after my final one I didn't sleep the night before the exam and then went out to celebrate the end of the exams the night after and ended up getting in at 4 AM, that's the longest I've been awake. Running on pure energy drinks for most of that day!

  • For Future reference: don't use Mountain Dew as you pick-me-up...its full of sugar which will make you crash and feel tired faster....drink something like Vitamin Water or Gatorade... It really helps a lot more.. :)

  • Comment removed

  • Ive stayed awake for 3 days in a row before i accidentally fell asleep. Combine this with mental instability (depression, paranoia, bipolar symptoms) and your in for a rough time.

It was a pretty low point for me.

  • you drinking the mountain dew invalidates the the experiment because your body does not naturally produce caffeine, a stimulant

  • I went without sleep for 51 hours, :D.

  • When it comes to mental degradation with humorous dillusion of sleep deprivation, try playing a D&D campaign with the same mindest and the campaign will get pretty silly pretty fast.

  • i did that headband thing when i was little lol

  • i stayed up with no sleep for 3 days and i started talking to myself. i will never do that again.

  • I went 7 days without any sleep once that was complete torture

  • the blood vesels in my eyes start to show if i stay up to long.. normal?

  • Yes there are health risks. Your mind can really start to play tricks on you if you stay up too long.

It is much like a computer that must be rebooted now and again.

I was awake once for 4 days and actually became suicidal.

This is not something to be played with.

Sleep deprivation is actually a torture tactic because the human mind will literally go mad if kept awake too long.

    Get some sleep.

  • what's the name of the song?

  • poretobatido said:,,what's the name of the song?''

    I second that question!

  • @TheWitcherFanboy FOUND IT! It's called lebanese blond

  • @poretobatido The sitar part is awesome, but after that, meh. Thanks anyway.

  • I have gone for 66 hours without sleeping. I am going to do it again soon, but I'll post the video on another channel. No coffee. No mountain dew. Just will.

  • @xoXsmileysXox Awesome man, I practice sleep deprivation as a form of religious devotion. I haven't been able to make it past 40 hours though unfortunately but I'm starting it tonight again to see if I can make it to whole week. lol

  • 2:58 HOLY SHIT THAT IS THE SCARIEST FACE I HAVE EVER SEEN

  • I need at least 10 hrs a night

  • I only had 2 hours of sleep right now and I feel like they did after 40 something wtf

  • iam on my first day after staying up i feel like i took ex iam happy as shit hope this will last into the second day

  • i havent slept in about 4 days and i feel ok not good but not bad

  • i feel weird lol ive been up for 84 hours i just cant seem to go to sleep fuck every thing is fuckin moveing god damn idk y i cant seem to sleep i just feel wide awake 24/7 i feel sick hot cold flashes night sweats headake and light headed i cant seem to go to sleep

  • Wow i put myself through this torture journey atleast once a month and i can relate in everything that you guys felt i like to refer to the effects after 24 as getting senile dementia where its hard to talk and think

  • this video is fake as fuck

paranormal activity is way more realistic and its gay fuck

  • this video is fake as fuck

  • Ha good work guys!!!! I go 3 or 4 days without sleep often. Just born that way... If you guys try it again don't drink sugar it gets you tired when you come off it. Do it all natural and you can stay up longer. No caffine no sugar no drugs... oh and also leave the lights. Maybe I am just born that way, but its easy. BUT GOOD WORK! I liked watching it. 98 hours is my record.:) But like I said I am born that way.

  • I've been up all night but am just starting to feel pretty drowsy. However I'm glad i'll be going to sleep tonight and unable to stay up for 30 hours =D

  • i was doing a 50 h but was on a party and i never got bored , slept like

    20 hours after that ::)

  • lol 37 is nothing

  • lol! bodies and computers!!

  • WHy did you feel compelled to stay in the same place? Was that part of the experiment? I suggest next time around you get out move around go on some adventures. Being awake for 3+ days makes everything so surreal. Walking through the woods is like a dream; in some cases sleep deprivation can bring on some serious hallucinations as well. Im on hour 78 but with a 3 hours nap about 20 hours ago. I've been to an outdoor Shakespeare play, had sex and played frisbee golf . Think ill go to bed tonight.

  • You shoulda used some a.d.h.d meds (adderall, ritalin, etc) those can keep you up for weeks

  • Sleep deprivation on a daily basis for a long period of time really does a number on the body. I know this first hand. Severe lack of sleep caused me to gain weight, it brought on Diabetes, it caused my blood pressure to stay very high, and it made me a nervous wreck. Depriving one's self of sleep for an experiment is one thing, but doing it all the time is definitely not good (to say the least).

  • you cant want to see them, they just happen, gotta let them happen and not expect it, walk thru the woods after 3 days, you will get lost trust me

  • its easy to stay awake if you can keep your mind active its when boredom kicks in you actually start to feel the effects, energy drinks/simulation drinks just make you feel crappy and headaches, they dont really help at all. take some pro plus :D

  • I've been up for 35hrs. I feel like just staying up for 48hrs just to do it once.

  • My record is 6 days no sleep try that. after the 6th day with no sleep i was backer acted and put in a the crazy house i turned psycho and started slashing my arms with a box cutter. Yeah insomnia is a major BITCH but you guys did it purposely. Try wanting to go to sleep and actually trying but laying there for like 8 hours with your mind racing from one thought to the next and you just cant turn it off, i smoke weed now that did the trick he he he he meds didn't work they just made me loopier

  • @BiracialGirl1977 I stayed up 6 days while on d-amphetamine. I ran out otherwise I would have gone longer. I stayed sane the entire time, other than shitty memory and skipping words in written sentences, and spacing out for what seemed like 30 mins at a time, but the Dex kept me focused. Soon as I ran out and started to crash I started seeing prismatic shapes in the dark and having the worst anxiety attack ever. I took a prescription downer to sleep asap before the effects peaked.

  • @BiracialGirl1977 won't staying awake for that long kill you or something?

  • most ive done is 6am- coming home from uni, doing an all nighter, then going to uni, getting home at 530 the next day and sleeping: so 35 hrs, it was HELL at uni from 2-5pm the next day, i was falling asleep during my classes presentations!

  • I get two hours sleep every night and I'm 13 I'm clocking out night

  • right now...im at like 50-sumptin...and im good to go

  • I stayed up for 47 hours straight plowing snow. way easier to stay awake when you have an activity going on..like plowing snow..

  • i stayed up for 4 days once i began to have tunnel vision so i just went to sleep

  • i should do this for my psychology class. sleep deprivaition and social anxiety and depression have really impacted my highschool life.. im 17 and dread every single day. i wish someon could help me.. i just dnt give a fuck anymore... so mentally tired.. sick of fighting this.. idk what to do ...ughg

  • @TheScreamingRetard There is help for your problems. Go to your school nurse.

  • I've been up for......42hrs right now and feel fine its the Mountain Dew that killed you guys

  • @MVDimovich then your a fucked up ADHD person

  • what' the name of the musi i really need it... ?

  • what's the music at the begining ?

  • try stayin up for 46 days...Whoa!

  • i love libanese blonde

  • Worst in your life????

Right now im on 82 hours of not sleeping, and im widde aawake, kinda hyper actually... no energy drinks... i just dont really seem to be effected by it... (i am 14 btw) Wierd though aint it... im not even tired yet... i might make avideo on it...

  • You're going to regret doing that later on. Trust me.

  • @jama463 how?

  • @jama463 whyyy?? D:

  • @jama463 Why?

  • hey everyone. search for "project 72 - teaser" its about me and two of my buddys experementing and reporting on 72 hours without sleep. go look at the teaser. and by the end of next week the full vid should be out! thanks guys.

  • It's actually quite enlightening to have sleep deprivation. I remember staying up for two days non stop drinkin' red bull non stop. I felt awesome like I was high even though I don't what it's like to be high lmao. My other personality takes over though while I sleep. Seriously. He does everything while I rest.

  • last night, i had to finish a big essay so I pulled an all-nighter. When I got to school in the morning, i felt normal. When lunch came, I became hyper and all drunk-like. Then, at last period, I felt dead. every blink I made made me forget what i had just done a few seconds ago. it was wierd. i can't last long without sleep

  • you're right. i only slept for 4 hours to finish my project. in the morning it was normal. in the afternoon, i felt very ok, talkative, hyper but late afternoon, i felt dizzy wants to fall down and sleep..

  • same,i get little sleep at night (cod4) lol and i feel like im stoned or very drunk like Mcfrolics said, and i struggle to speak, like almost slurr my words out very slowly, and forget stuff oftten also like Mcfrolics, it feels horrible lol, ive got it atm, very scary lol :( because im on xbox live all night and get up very early for college. =[

  • hey, you tried. days 1 to 3 are pretty hard on your nerves, after that.....reality slowly tears itself apart.

  • @3018mercintell

2 days in you realize you start to hate life

  • @3018mercintell yes i hav eot get past the third day i want to know what it feels like i must know!

  • sweet intro song

  • the best things to stay awake are as much water as you can drink, nicotine (not sugar or caffeine), and activities that require little mental activity. and if that fails, then you can always smoke some crack.

  • Fuck that, I have some adderall I've been saving.

  • Lmao, I was joking about the crack.

The adderall is just gonna make you crash hardcore mode after about 20 hours max, I promise you.

I tried using amphetamines before too, I lasted about 30 hours then just like passed out after they wore off.

  • If you relax when they're in effect you dont crash as hard. =)

  • that's a pretty sweet set-up, with the couch against the bed.

if you want to kill time whilst staying awake, i'd suggest taking walks or be outside as much as you can. locking yourself in a bedroom only entices you to want to sleep more

  • You know also you have several adrenaline jumps during the first 48 hours of sleep deprivation. Resulting in a euphoric feeling

  • That's true. I just passed the 48 hour mark 20 minutes ago. At 34-35 hours I was hit with a massive rush of euphoria and adrenaline. My cognitive abilities took a sharp dive just before that at 33 hours. At 44 hours I was hit with massive fatigue. I almost gave up but then I remembered I forgot to have my caffeine hit (last 100mg was at 41 hrs). After an energy drink (160mg),a no doze (100mg) and a packet of chips I was feeling fine again.

  • lol, nice...im trying that 2nite ganna stay up for 3days, well try

  • i tried doing this too, i fell asleep after three days, when my eyes just wouldn't stay open, and things started bending as i looked at them. I was so pissed off when i woke up.

  • shud've took a E or MDMA

  • Pretty much the same thing which happened to me haha. I would look at the floor and it was warping. My body just shut down after a while, I woke up and was like "...CRAAAAAP!!!"

  • Nice movie, BTW:
