  • At least Michigan beat the crap outta them this year :))

  • @goblue6212 If you say that a whoooole bunch of times, maybe it'll change the outcome of THIS game. LOL!

  • haha wolverines took a dump on the fuskers, i mean huskers.

  • @ICantDecryptTheCode WOW! Clever name calling!

  • DAMN! So close...

  • Doesn't matter if we had Lincoln Nebraska on the field, Michigan "fact" had a few players walk on the field wether it affected the play or not they were on the field jus like Nebraska, penalties off set, u understand now???

  • Michigan's bench is throwin damn blocks for the guy

  • I know there was like 5 Michigan players on the field with their trainers, Nebraska did the same thing, regardless the penalties would have off set, so no excuses

  • @ilovejfast nebraska's whole band and team was on the field, michigan players didnt affect the play at all

  • @maymunaxxx You're pretty dumb. Nebraska's team didn't interfere because they were on the field closest to the camera and no players came onto the field when it moved toward their sideline. The play down the sideline was on Michigan's side of the field where their players DID affect the play because the ball carrier used those players as screens. Nebraska's whole band was on the field? LMAO! There wasn't one band member on it. There is no post game with marching bands, idiot.

  • @24Lancelot

I'm pretty sure that doesn't matter. You're only allowed to have 11 men on the field, period. It doesn't matter if they affected the play. And since the game can't end on a defensive penalty, that would've given Michigan one more shot at the end zone.

  • @RedXlV What doesn't matter is it would have been offsetting penalties. But when you have officials and trophy presenters coming onto the field too, they weren't going to throw a flag.

  • @24Lancelot there's always a post game marching band show.....idiot.

  • Comment removed

  • Nebraska should have gotten a flag? what about UM?

  • They meet next Saturday as conference opponents

  • The band is on the field!

  • OH MY GOSH!

  • Soo gay ecker could of thrown it back to breaston and we wouldve won!!!!! I hated watching that game

  • I love listening to all the Michigan names and thinking... nfl, nfl, nfl, nfl, nfl, nfl,...

  • i watched this live and was like WTF i thought he was down like 70 yards back

  • I remember this play it was so nerve racking.

  • pitch to fucking breston !!!!!!!!!

  • @gogeta5782 he should of just ran with his blockers

  • Complete crap.

  • Michigan would have won if the Porn Cocksuckers players were penalized for too many men on the field

  • @doggertdog no silly. . .(Missed IT Again). . . I mean. . . Michigan. . would have won if they had been the better football team. There was absolutlely no one standing in his way on his way to the endzone. . .he was just too slow of a runner and got shoved outta bounds. now u can quit cryin and get over it ... .see u guys soon.

  • @LincolnBoy71 I agree with you, Michigan was bad that year. Im already over it, almost 7 years ago

  • @doggertdog right on. . . . no insult intended. ..u guys are likely to dust us this year anyway. . . Dennard will be a nightmare for our young and seriously under-performing secondary. . . .two strong offenses and two kinda weak defenses.. . .but its in the Big House.. . . it will be exciting. . much respect to Michigan from a big Red boy born n raised in Lincoln.

  • i shit my pants when i was watching this.

  • WTF?

  • One of most nerve racking games I've ever seen!!! Go Big Red!!!

  • I remember watchin this live...I think it was Steve Breston behind dude with the ball an NFL WR why didnt he pitch it lol smh only at Michigan..Michigan had a lot of NFL talent on these mid 2000's teams tho

  • They must have had like 5 QBs on the field cuz some of those "pitches" looked like hail maries lol

  • There's no way this play would have stood. There were players from both teams and photographers all over the field.

  • @shockwave68516 are u kidding, did you ever see cal / stanford the entire band was on the field and that one stood , this play was good , moron just didnt pitch the ball

  • Lol Herbstreit at the end.."OH MY GOOOOOOSSSSHHHHHHHH"

  • PITCH IT TO BREASTON!!!!!

  • RUN PETIE MAC RUN! Beautiful 90 degree cut. That's a fast camera man.

  • ITS PETIE MAC FROM TNT RADIO EMPIRE HOLDING THE CAMMERA ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT at 0:36

  • You had the fastest guy on the field right behind you Ecker! Man, ... lol. Bums me out watching this still.

  • had edgar or whatever his name is scored on that play and not go out of bounds, he definetly woulda got mad dome that night...just sayin. nice to here some of the guys reppin michigan now in the nfl. avant, hart, henne, manningham oh ya

  • even at 0:26 the clock thought he was down by instead of having the clock time as :00 it was final

  • lol at 0:32

    offensive lineman...

  • give it to breaston and i bet michigan scores...

  • Steve fucking Breaston is literally running right behind you! What the hell are you thinking??? At the time he was the best punt returner in college football! Ahhhhhhh

  • Tyler Ecker is so stupid. I remember he lost us the Ohio State game that same year because he didn't go out of bounds during our final drive

  • Love how he says all the names

  • THE HUSKERS ARE ON THE FIELD!!!! THE HUSKERS ARE THE FIELD!!!! WHAT IS GOING ON!??!

  • Thing is,there shouldve been a flag..too many men on the field..they got robbed..Michigan shouldve gotten that..

  • Thing is, there should have been a flag on both teams, so they would have offset. Nebraska won, no one was robbed, Michigan lost fair and square. Both teams had their benches and too many men on the field...nice try though.

  • @SSMISCHIEF1

how did michigan get robbed? both teams had too many players on the field. watch the michigan sideline at the end of the play and see how many players and coaches are moving from the field to the michigan sideline. the guys with the yellow pants moving to the michigan sideline aren't nebraska players.

  • @gogeta5782 a better question.. we had 4 guys upfield none of them blocked... WHY??

  • Worst luck ever.

  • if there was penalties on that play. they would have been offset. i think, i am probably wrong

  • The guy had so much open room and chose the wrong area. I also don't get why there was not a penalty against Nebraska for everybody out on the field.

  • @lakerskid2013 both teams were on the field...would have been offsetting penalties...refs explained it in press release later

  • If he woulda cut through left at the 30yd line instead of running the sidelines he would have scored because there we're no neb players in sight & it would have been the play of the century.

  • @Gshock714 he also had breaston open to his left.....could've pitched back to him before he took himself out of bounds...

  • Comment removed

  • Why in the hell didn't he just blindly throw it behind him to the one and only guy behind him. A MICHIGAN PLAYER........dumbass.

  • OH MY GOD!!!!

  • the guy who made the tackel wasn't originaly on the field

  • @rwebmichiganfan yeah he was

  • that was awesome, too bad that ecker retard fucked it up, what the fuck was he doing lol

  • WHY DIDNT HE PITCH IT???

  • @gogeta5782 He had two other guys to throw to. I'm thinking the same thing.

  • there shouldve been a flag!!!!

he shoudve tried to go left

  • Ecker should have pitched it to Breaston then blocked for him. Michigan would have scored on that play. But in all honesty, that game was very poorly officiated. Sun Belt officials should never get a bowl game again.

  • OMG if Ecker just pitches ONE MORE TIME to Breaston we win. "There should be a flag on the field for Nebraska players" yeah except the f#@^ing inept Sun Belt refs just LEFT THE FIELD during the play.

  • @jcgamer107 nooo. . .silly M fan, , , it was just another overrated M team that got exposed.. .by NU. . . just like the overrated "national title" team of 97 that NU would have smashed on national tv. . . . .

  • @goooogrrr The "overrated" Michigan team that played the toughest schedule in the country in '97. And NU would've lost a game had their player not illegally, intentionally kicked a ball in the air against Missouri. Honestly, though, I really wish they had played each other. Best offense vs best defense, would've been epic.

  • @jcgamer107 if you watch the play it's fairly clear it was an unintentional kick. They did luck out though.

  • why didn't michigan players block for the guy

  • haha i cant believe our tight end didnt pitch it again lmao

  • God Michigan fans are still whining about this game, get a life, you lost the game. Good luck having to play Nebraska every year starting in 2011, they are gonna stomp a mudhole in your ass and walk it dry.

  • @LehmanAaron the black skirts wont be able to stop denard, and the receiving corps the wolverines will have next year.

  • that retard tried to win it himself and looked like a retard. i bet he cuts himself daily now

  • lmfao at Herbstreit "OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!"

  • @SpartyFan1213 yeah he would have been pissed if michigan won

  • that was such mother fucking bull shit.no flag, a player from the sideline tackled michigans runner, and the band was on the field. BULL SHIT.

  • all he ahd to do was throw it back to the trailing dude idiot

  • If Ecker (89) passed it back to Preston (15), Michigan would have been scored! Plus Michigan should have had one more play with the uncalled penalty. Half the distance to the goal....that would have been something!

  • If Ecker (89) passed it back to Preston (15), Michigan would have been scored!

  • HOW DOES ECKER NOT PITCH IT TO BREASTON!?!?!?

  • Lol herbstreit goes crazy @4:20 "OH MY GOSSSSSSSHHHHH"

  • Gah great call by Mike Tirico here

  • why the hell did ecker run out of bounds w/o even so much as trying to get rid of the ball?

  • that guy at the end running it wanted to be the hero and he cost his team the win he had 2 players behind him and if he had pitched it back michigan would have scored and won the game.refs still should have flagged nebraska for running out on the field michigan didnt do that.

  • lots of things happend poor officiating the officials should be fired they didn't throw the flag because they were too tired of running everywhere to find out who is the better team, and if the guy had pitched it they would have won but what ever, it could have gone bolth ways

  • Espn hates Nebraska

  • Ecker, why didn''t you pitch the ball... th fastest player on the field was right next to u....

  • I love the desire that the #40 Nebraska player in red has. Watch him running everywhere to try and end the game.

  • what the guy with the fumbled should've done was stay behind his two blockers, easy touchdown then

  • The point is that even if both teams were on the field then there would be one more play, but what's interesting is they could have called a half the didtance to the goal penalty and they would have one more play from the 7 yard line.

  • I don't care what anyone says, #54 was down and threw the ball in the air from a sitting position. Also, I love how the announcer immediately says that there should be a flag on Nebraska when both teams were clearly on the field at that point.

  • @ssiedlik it looks like he never completely caught the ball and since it was a lateral an incomplete pass is a fumble. The Michigan guy picked it up and started running.

  • Worst officiated game ever. Coming from a neutral fan.

  • PITCH IT TO BREASTON!!!!!! Stealing someones idea, yes

  • It's not like Michigan would have won if a penalty was called. Also, that was the stupidest hook-and-ladder ever - the 2nd player was running to the same spot that the original WR was running to anyway.

  • was the tuba player in the endzone?

  • Rugby is awesome! HAHAHA

  • Once again Michigan loses a game they suppose to win easily.

  • Commenting system really screwed up today - again, since Nebraska was NOT penalized for going on the field, it's only natural that some Michigan players thought the game was over.

  • The Nebraaapologists can't or won't recognize a simple fact: The officials did NOT penalki

  • Coming from a Husker fan born in Ann Arbor, I would say that this would have been a royal-sick win for Michigan if he made it considering there were crazy fans running all over the field while this guy touched-down.

  • this was bullshit. they should have replayed that play. there was people out on the field during the play!!!! fuck osu! GO BLUE!!!!

  • @paxitzis65 :38 - :39 dude, michigan players on the feild too the commentator just didnt announce it, ARE YOU BLIND?

  • there was no players from michigan on the field just nebraska including their band and coaches.apparently your the one who is blind.

  • Bullshit? they ran over towards the michigan sideline...while michigan players were jacking around on the field too! so no penalty can really be called there!

  • doesnt matter causer the ref didnt blow the whistle so the play wasnt dead it doesnt matter if players on the field stop playing.and they should have called a penalty on nebraska cause they were the ones on the field not michigan.

  • What a bunch of idiots.....both sidelines started walking on to the field...even the coaches...LOL!!!! Weird psychological error, when 1 or 2 people do something, even if wrong, the other sheeple follow. Thank god they tackled him at the end. Go Big Red!!!

  • you are wrong only nebraska was on the field at the end not michigan.nebraska should have been flagged for that.

  • @jayfey77 #1 You are pyschotic, I back my claim with all the posts you made 23 hours ago. #2 Some advice, when you tell someone they are wrong, back it up with proof or at least some evidence. #3 YOU are wrong, it was NOT only Nebraska on the field. The correct comment would be, "There were more Nebraska players and coaches that came on to the field. A lot of Michigan coaches came on to the field, just not many of their players. So bottom line, both sides came on to the field. See next post.

  • the video is the proof you see coahces from nebraska walking to the michigan sideline and they are right near it too notice they are facing it not walking away from it that is the proof.

  • @jayfey77 yep, you're right. nebraska's coaching staff clearly sprinted all the way across the field AND changed to match the garb of the michigan staff in 15 seconds (because they must have done it while the camera was zoomed in otherwise we'd have caught those buggers), then turned around (only one of them was facing the sideline, the rest infield)

  • not everybody on nebraska is wearing red look at michigan they arent all wearing yellow on ther sidelines.and if those were michigan coaches they would be walking away from their sidelines not walking to it.

  • @jayfey77 Did you notice all the men with dark shirts standing around the 30 yard line? Those were Michigan coaches! There were photographers and press on the field as well when that last tackle was being made. Everyone came out there. I have the game on DVR and they show a different angle. Husker players came out, but also Michigan coaches. Everyone that came on to the field is an idiot, just like yourself.

  • Herbstreit sounds like an idiot.

    "Oh my gosh!!!"

  • @BleedHuskaRed1220 Herbstreit always sounds like an idiot.

  • @DramaQueen1776 He's a Buckeye. That's what they do.

  • to all the michigan fans bitching about nebraska having people on the field. start watching michigans sideline at about 35 seconds. there are at least ten michigan players and coaches backing up from the field to the sideline. offsetting penalties. deal with it.

  • bullshit you can see at the end aqll the nebraska coaches on the field all the way near the michigan sideline and even their band ont he field but no michigan players on the field.you are either blind stupid or biased or all 3.

  • where was the flag for interference?

  • Nebraska fans think they are so great.

    lol

Chad Henne, Jake Long, Mike Hart, Steve Breaston, Jason Avant, & Mario Manningham on the same field for Michigan ... wow.

  • are you blind or did you not see the score at the end of the game? Nebraska wins and no one cares how many "stars" you think you have on one team

  • @ccruss81 and they won jack shit too....wow.

  • and we still won lmao

  • Why didn't he run down the middle of the field or pitched it back during the end? They would've definitely scored

  • that idiot at the end wanted to be the hero and win it for them but he cost his team the game if he had pitched it back to breaston who was behind him michigan would have scored and won the game.

  • i love how henne just stands there cause he thinks the game is over, lol

  • breaston manningham henne all nfl players

  • I about pooped my self when this was happeing. i was thank god it went are way. also i dig the fact that like 5 of the dudes he talks about lateraling the ball are all in the nfl, that the prob with michigan now they dont have that. Sure they have tate forcier and i think he is the shizznit bu really thiers no one on that team anymore.

  • That was Zack Bowman making the tackle...pretty sure he was supposed to be out there!

  • god i cant believe he didnt pitch it back before he got tackled. he should know hes not gonna make it hes a huge tight end.

he had steve breaston behind him how could you not pitch it

  • im a nu fan but that wouldve been the sweetest play EVER!!! i

  • Then you aren't a true 'sker fan. Go suck Mike Hart's dick traitor

  • blow me. i dont care about anything that happened in the BC era. its a clean slate for bo.

  • why is this so amazing i dont get it they didnt score and nebraska wins end of story

  • he wasn't trying to be selfish, he didn't see that other nebraska guy. kind of hard to notice when there are over 100 guys on the field...not that the officials noticed there were more than 22.

  • Hey jackasses, you notice who else is on the field? Michigan coaches. It should have been offsetting penalties and replayed the down.

  • HEY Michigan!! NU 's all time bowl appearance streak . . .35 games straight .. . . Michigan had won 33 in a row and would have surpassed it. .... . . . and then... . .oooooooooh. so close. now ya gotta start over..CANT CATCH THE RED. peace

  • @goooogrrr Hey NEBRASKA!! Michigan still has the most all-time wins and highest all-time winning percentage!

  • @jcgamer107 yeah so what. . . most of those were from the time before facemasks were invented . . .when was M's last national title. . . ok, now go away. . ..

  • @goooogrrr Ummmm...1997....same as Nebraska's last one lol.

  • those coaches near the michigan side were nebraska coaches you fool.nebraska was on the field not michigan.flags should have been on nebraska.you are just stupid or biased or both.

  • People really need to read the rules. The play was dead when Nebraska players came on the field. After time has expired, if a player other than one that fumbled it picks it up, the play is dead.

  • thats not true anyone can recover a fumble you are wrong.

  • ref's were idiots in this game, they should've thrown a flag at the end against Nebraska for too many men on the field.

  • both teams were on the field after the fumble. watch the downfield replay if you can find it, it's pretty clear.

  • all i saw was nebraska on the field even their coaches at the end were near the michigan sideline.

  • @CrimsonTide118 you are.. not very bright. first off, the play was over and yes, you're right, the refs were stupid and let it go. second, both teams had players/coaches on the field.

  • the play was no over or the refs would have blown the whistle you fool.and you are wrong about both teams had players on the field.nebraska had coaches all the way near the michigan side of the field.they were the ones on the field not michigan.

  • yeah but michigan players and coaches were on the fielkd to

  • Omg I thought I was the only one who noticed this guy trying to be selfish at the end of the game. i'm like is he trying to go out of bounds? does he think that there's still time on the clock? pitch the damn ball back!

  • Herbstreit wanted it so bad.

  • i was hollaring "DONT GIVE UP! DONT GIVE UP! great play Mich!

  • What ppl dont remember was this was a poorly officiated game. The refs ran off the field and never blew the whistle. That should have been a flag and Michigan should have gotten 15 yards and another chance.

  • Dude. Both teams were on the field. Therefore, the penalties offset.

    Nebraska won.

  • Apparently the extra Michigan players on the field right by the ball carrier don't count.

  • both teams were not on the field just nebraska.you can even see the nebraska coaches at the end already near the sideline of michigans.

  • exactly. sunbelt officials.

  • you have no idea how mad i was about that. jipped.

  • ya but if he pitched to breaston he woulda been gone 2 but i agree

  • wtf was he trying to do, first he wanted to be greedy and not pitch it back to steve breaston, then the guy ran to the sideline when the middlof the field was wide open. i feel bad for him, he probably cryed after watching how stupid he made himself look that should have been an easy td bu he blew it.

  • yeah i was watching this game, dumbass wanted to be the hero at the ending....

  • Is that Jake Long standing still at the 34 second mark while the play is contnuing behind him?

  • If ecker would of look back steve breaston was behind here with no cornhusker in sight um gave the game away. A flag should of been called on that pass interference on the 4th down call. Um missed a field goal, but um gave the game. Away and I went that alamo bowl where we blew it.

  • good job huskers....

  • THE BAND IS OUT ON THE FIEEEEELDDD!

  • lmao

  • I think i had two heart attacks from that play alone. GBR!!!!!

  • its offsetting penalties. If one team has sideline players on the field, and the other team has even 1 player or a coach on the field, the play is ruled as offsetting because both teams violate the number of players allowed on the field during play. Technically Michigan had players and coaches as well on the field but then got off the field once the play was starting to move down their sidelines. In the end, Nebraska wins.

  • you are wrong only nebraska was on the field you can even see at the end all the nebraska coaches near the michigan sideline.

  • That play scared the shit out of me
